I often go to Corner Kitchen Cafe at the end of my street and have mostly been happy with the coffees and breakfast wraps but today's experience was a huge disappointment. I ordered the fruit and granola and when it came the granola was just cornflakes with a few raisins thrown in -- it looked and rated like it came out of a box. There was a few measly pieces of fruit on top but nothing to write home about. I had to order toast instead and it came with a tiny square of butter and sugary, cheap
On top of it all, the service was atrocious -- the very surly woman at the counter snapped at me when I asked if their "granola" was served with honey and was rude the whole time. My husband's avocado breakfast wrap was good, but I would not recommend the granola, and would not go back for the atrocious service.
I should say that I have been in the evenings and there is a very lively woman who comes around to ask if patrons need anything -- a very nice touch at a place that does not normally offer table service. Today's woman working at the counter could learn a few things from her.
