Rice vermicelli in crab and tomato soup ($50)
Portion was huge with plenty of crab patties, tomato, Vietnamese sausage, pork blood, herbs, sprouts etc. It was a simple but hearty meal. We went on a chilly day so it was great to warm our tummies up!
Baguette with special house mix ($40)
The slightly toasted baguette was filled with pork, Vietnamese sausage, pork floss, pickles, cucumber, coriander, scallion and pâté. It’s flavourful and well-balanced but could use a bit of wet sauce or paste so it’s less dry. Also wish the bread to fillings ratio was smaller.
Vietnamese rice rolls with special homemade sauce ($35 for two)
The rice rolls were made of mainly rice noodles and were a tad hard and bland for my liking. Portion was huge again but the two half-shrimps were more of a decoration.
Vietnamese drip coffee ($25)
I normally don’t drink coffee after six but couldn’t resist a good pot of Vietnamese drip coffee. I’m glad I ordered! The coffee was a pleasant surprise- rich, aromatic and thick. It got a bit too sweet at the end though due to the condensed milk at the bottom.
