A second time at Waraku meant trying new things (special set menu, potato appetizer, to name a few), but also ordering dishes appreciated from the previous visit (BBQ squid, deep fried tofu), not to forget using coupons. Potato Mochi Cheese: was delicious. I was more than satisfied with this dish. Not only did the picture on the menu make it look good, but the real thing was yummy. Also, the iron plate kept the food warm throughout our meal.
Pepper Beef set (main, drink & dessert of the day): was alright. There was a lot going on on the plate - corn soup, potato, salad and meat. The spaghetti soup was too creamy and thick, much like the soft ice-cream.
Salad bowl: was a change from the complimentary salads. Ham, egg and lettuce mixed with a zesty sauce make a good combo.
As to the familiar Korokoro Tofu...
It was quite the disappointment. The deep fried snack was almost cold when it arrived. There was no sweet aroma coming out of it; the tofu "skin" (outer layer) was not crunchy and the tofu itself was wrinkly as if it had been sitting in the restaurant the whole day. Left-overs, perhaps?
On a more positive light, the service has improved.
