It's my friend's birthday today, and since she's a vegetarian, we decided to go to grassroot to celebrate.I talked to the staff in advance if I could reserve a cake, and she gave me a couple options, but the cake seems too much for just a three people outings. She suggested I could order a dessert and they will put decoration with chocolate lettering instead. Brilliant idea, and it was executed really well by the staff. We ordered two starters and they were amazing. The gyoza is fried crispy outside and moist inside, and with a citrus dressing. Refreshing for the summer!
The popcorn "chicken" is definietly the highlight. The golden skin had us all fool! My veggie friend even spat out the "chicken" as she thought it was real meat! But it turned out it was just mushroom. It's amazing how our tastebud could be fooled that way so easily! But look at the texture, it looks just like chicken! Amazing taste and healthy! What else could one ask for?
