I think we've all heard of Tiger Sugar. The famous Taiwanese brown sugar milk tea shop found all over the world including Hong Kong. But what about Tiger Sugar Dessert (Chinese name: 老虎堂甜品專売)? Located in Olympian City, there is a dessert shop from that parent company. It's not very big with a small number of seats. It also garnered a lot of really bad reviews. But it was hot outside and they served shaved ice! I just wanted something icy cold so we just decided to throw caution to the wind. For
Menu is in English and Chinese. They serve various Taiwanese style desserts. But we were here for ice!
You can create your own or choose from the pre-designed versions. We decided to make our own by choosing 5 toppings for $48.
Our choices were pudding, tiger jelly, boba, grass jelly and small rice balls. It was a decent size. Not too big but not too small. Toppings were generous. There was also a decent amount of black sugar syrup. It was quite good. The boba was soft and chewy. The pudding was a bit on the hard side but nothing to really complain about. Overall not too bad.
It was better than we expected as reviews were quite poor. But our shaved ice was quite good. Not as good as Meet Fresh but still quite good. Would be back as there is no wait time.
