This place produces some really good roast chicken smells which is what tempted me to try it! I got a takeway lunch set (quarter roast chicken, mixed veg, roast potatoes and a pea and mint soup) for HKD72. It smelled really good in it's nice looking takeaway bag, but unfortunately the chicken was disappointingly dry and not very tasty.The set lunch comes with a "side dish of the day" and a soup of the day or a drink. The set lunch comes with a "side dish of the day" and a soup of the day or a drink. When I went, you could choose from three sides: rice and veg, mixed veg and roast potatoes. The lady serving me said you could choose a combination (instead of just choosing one as the name suggests), so I picked the mixed veg and roast potatoes. The mixed veg had peas, green beans, pumpkin, turnip, cauliflower and carrots. I was given a generous portion of the veg and roast potatoes. The roast potatoes were soft and salty. Not terrible, but not great either.
The soup was a pea and mint soup. Too watery for my liking, but the taste was OK.
The chicken itself had a nice (salty) crispy skin, but the meat was dry and rather tasteless.
The staff were friendly and efficient, and the serving area appeared clean. I didn't have to wait long for my takeaway to be ready. They also do quiches and desserts, and have jars of sauces and pickles for sale.
The chicken is not worth going back for in my opinion.
