Attended weekend brunch today. The appetizers were okay, not bad, but quite a few popular items required an extra charge. Attended weekend brunch today. The appetizers were okay, not bad, but quite a few popular items required an extra charge. However, the main courses were disappointing.
I ordered the fusilli with Genovese sauce and the ravioli with burrata cheese. Initially, the wrong dish (halibut) was brought out due to a mistake, which caused a delay in receiving the correct order. When the right dishes finally arrived, the sauces on both were unappetizing, tasting overly smoky and almost burnt. We could only manage to finish about a third of the main courses.
The waitress was nice enough to offer to change our order, but at that point, we had lost our appetite and didn't feel like trying anything else.Toward the end of the meal, we ordered an iced latte, which took nearly 30 minutes to arrive.
Considering the high price point for this brunch, I would have expected better quality and execution. For the same cost, I could have enjoyed a lavish buffet lunch at a 5-star hotel with unlimited seafood options and no extra charges.
