don't be fooled that this is a private club! all public are welcome. except that a boyscout member can get 10% off.i was so indulged in the excellent food that i didn't bother to take pictures! so you have to take my words for it.combination appetizers: outstanding smoked duck breast -- soft, tender, great flavor. roast suckling pig was crispy skin and tender meat. cured beef slices were fantastic too.cucumber stuffed with braised dry scallop: each scallop was cooked perfectly to tender and plac

combination appetizers: outstanding smoked duck breast -- soft, tender, great flavor. roast suckling pig was crispy skin and tender meat. cured beef slices were fantastic too.
cucumber stuffed with braised dry scallop: each scallop was cooked perfectly to tender and placed in the center of a thick cucumber slice. to get the full taste, one has to eat with one full bite!
sweet and sour pork ribs: small pieces of baby back rib deep-fried to crispy outside and tender inside. no, more than tender, more close to puffy! everyone cannot stop eating them.
the "oil-cooked" chicken was so tender that it could rewrite all chicken recipes!
vegetable dishes such as stirred fried shrimps with celery and carrots, and green leaf vegetables cooked in chicken stock were tasty and classic.
the soup made with pork bones, carrots, turnip and other goodies was syrupy and full of tasty flavors.
the "dry" fried yee noodle was the best that i have ever tasted for a long long time. seasoning was just right and the noodles were not oily. the yee noodle itself was thinner than usual, which was supposed to be so in the old days.
only the steamed fish was below par that night -- it was somewhat overcooked, with tough meat.
we had 17 people eating in a private room. ambiance and service were excellent. beverage or tea were promptly refilled for each person without any reminding or signaling.
even a demanding scout master should feel pampered and satisfied gastronomically here!
