My friend who lives in Chuk Yuen just gave birth to baby girl and invited us to 新南苑 next to her home. This restaurant offers dim sum, Cantonese cuisine, Sichuan cuisine and more. Went there around 6.30pm and the restaurant was almost full.山竹牛肉球 Steamed Beef BallsMy favorite dim sum dish that requires good technique of the chef. So fluffy and juicy. Freshly steamed. My favorite dim sum dish that requires good technique of the chef. So fluffy and juicy. Freshly steamed. The coriander inside was still green. Delicious! A must to add Worcestershire sauce.
四寶魚肚滑雞扎 Cotton Chicken
Beancurd skin wrapping chicken, fish maw, baby corn and yam. So huge! The yam was like 3 times the portion of other restaurant.
酸辣泡椒煮牛肉 Hot and Sour Beef
Beef fried with pickled long beans, garlic and chili peppers. Tender marinated beef. Nice wok hei.
魚湯勝瓜雲耳浸蜆 Clams with Luffa and Black Fungus in Fish Soup
The clams were sauteed perfectly. Still soft and juicy. Good amount of veggies too.
Wanted to try their steamed rice roll too but it was only available until 4pm. Overall high quality. Still many dishes that I wanted to try but I was too full. Worth visiting again!
