After watching the vlog of a famous YouTuber, we’ve decided to try the famous all-you-can-eat weekend brunch at Felix, believing that they could manage delivering both food quantity and more importantly quality. I’ll start by talking about their signature seafood platters, including the one with “fresh caught seafood steamed” and the “fresh seafood mixed grill”. The pictures probably look okay but the king crabs, Boston lobsters, King prawns etc are frozen, not chill and did NOT taste fresh at all! Even the abalone tasted hard and bland, without the naturally fresh & sweet flavours we expected. I have eaten a considerable amount of seafood platters (both grilled and chill) in various hotels/high-end restaurants, but this is the first time I had seafood of such low quality at a 5-star hotel. It was as if they were the seafood taken from yesterday’s morning buffet... We didn’t finish half of the seafood cuz they’re just too bad.
The other things were pretty bad as well… The main course I had was the pumpkin ravioli and it tasted like baby food, so bland and the texture was bad. In short, there’s not a dish that we actually slightly appreciated. Won’t be back.
