This is my first time commenting on any restaurant on Openrice bc this was by far THE WORST noodle shop I've ever eaten at in HK!We wanted to eat at Ah Yuan but it was closed so we went to this place instead. I ordered the laksa noodles with shredded chicken and fried tofu. When I asked the waitress how many pieces of tofu laksa soup base has, she said half a piece. What??!! The laksa soup base had very little flavor other than just very very very salty! It was so salty, in fact, I asked for a glass of water... 10 mins later... water didn't arrive, so I asked again... another 10 mins... no water... asked again... another 10 mins. The water arrived but it was too hot to even hold, let alone drink! I told the waitress this and... another 10 mins later, she brings a glass of ice water! While we were there, there was a customer who complained that he had waited 25 mins for his takeout! He was made to wait another 10 mins before he got his food!!!
In the end, our bill was $132 for 2 bowls of noodles, lettuce with no drinks. We could have had double that at 波記! Needless to say, this was the WORST noodle shop I've ever eaten at in HK, both in terms of food, service and value. I will never eat at Noodies again even if it's free. Really shocking this place has so many positive comments!
