My husband was kind enough to make a lunch reservation on our anniversary. He made a booking at 1:15pm. At around 1pm he told me he was still stuck in traffic and could not make it on time. I said no problem I will give a call and change it to 1:30pm.When I called, the Italian chef (presumably the boss as well) picked up the call and I raised my question, the immediately answer from him was a CANNOT in an utmost strong Italian accent. He said we do not take anyone late. We do not take anyone in

My husband was kind enough to make a lunch reservation on our anniversary. He made a booking at 1:15pm. At around 1pm he told me he was still stuck in traffic and could not make it on time. I said no problem I will give a call and change it to 1:30pm.

When I called, the Italian chef (presumably the boss as well) picked up the call and I raised my question, the immediately answer from him was a CANNOT in an utmost strong Italian accent. He said we do not take anyone late. We do not take anyone in after 1:30pm.

It was super foggy and was raining real hard today.
I made it at 1:18pm and the chef welcomed me saying “Oh you’re late, where is the other person?”
“He’s still in traffic that’s why I called.”
He said “I told you not to come if you’re late, WHY ARE YOU TRYING SO HARD?”
“Well it’s my anniversary today so we thought we would like to have a nice plate of pasta”
“Then you come another time and don’t be late”
“Doesn’t matter I really don’t wanna see you anymore”

THE TRUTH IS IT’S FINE BECAUSE YOU’RE NEVER GONNA BE ABLE TO RUN BUSINESS IN HK LIKE THIS ANYMORE.
