After the Japanese soufflé pancakes became a hipster, I have never tried any due to the long queue and overprice. Passing by seeing no queue and was thinking to stop by somewhere for sweetness, we decided to just give a try.

We ordered Uji Matcha soufflé and mont blanc. We also requested iced cinnamon chai latte and ice black coffee.

Both Uji Matcha soufflé and mont blanc definitely had a wow factor. Both were served clean and neat.
Soufflé pancakes were very eggy. Soft and fluffy. The jiggling made it look so satisfying. I omitted the whipped soft cream on top as i think the matcha crème gave enough flavour. The matcha sauce and crème were full of matcha flavour. Earthy but not too much that became bitter. The generous matcha crème, sauce, red bean paste and matcha ice cream were more than enough to serve every bite. Every bite was heavenly good, especially for matcha lover. Unexpectedly despite the soufflé pancakes were airy, they still gave a slight chewy pancake texture. Red bean paste was in a chunky bean side which again gave some texture. Ice cream had a strong matcha flavour too and not those melts easily. Good job.

Mont blanc served normal pancakes instead of soufflé ones. Highly appreciated that they gave loaded chestnut cream and chestnut paste and even the whipped cream had been mixed with chestnut. Every bite was full of chestnut flavour and pieces of chestnut. It was delicious. The only flaw I will make was too much chestnut cream that even every bite with chestnut paste and cream, mountain of cream left. All in all, a nice one.

Cinnamon chai tea latte was so flavourful! Chai tea and cinnamon was such a perfect match! Everything was just the right balance and not sweet at all! Even the iced coffee was a roasty aromatic one!

Overall, surprised me and not something I thought of!
