Once we arrived we were ushered into a seemingly rustic interior with wooden tables and chairs. (Reminded me of the dining hall in disneyland). Point: Looked authentic enough.
The food was laid out nicely in different areas of the restaurant. Rosti near the entrance, Salad bar in the centre, roasted items and pasta near the kitchen and the dessert bar at the side.

We started of with the salad bar which was pretty average. Nothing to complain about. There was a variety of bread rolls to choose from and the basic dressings to go along with the salad greens...
YUM! Real food... There wasn't alot to choose from but it was filling.
The ravioli (not authentic but I suppose to please customers with larger range of food) was quite good! Though probably store bought... Sauce was a winner though. The sausages were disappointing
Not flavourful enough... So I added some of the mustard and then it tasted better. Ooooh. Pork knuckle was quite excellent. The skin was crisp and provided a good crunch without leaving a greasy after taste. The meat itself was well cooked without being overly salty. Sauerkraut was good. It wasn't too sour and was soft to the right amount. The potatoes were excellent. Slightly crispy on the outside and slightly soft on the inside. (I saw the guy prepping putting alot of butter on it...) I didn't try the soup but my sister said it was a tad too sweet...
Self Serve Pasta was quite redundant... The tomato base was too sweet and not rich enough. Save your space for more of the ravioli

Dessert. I always look forward to dessert and this was no exception. There was a black forest cake, apple crumble, chocolate molten lava cake, chocolate mousse cake, chocolate mango cake, bread and butter pudding and waffles and more. OH right, ice cream too. I must say.. I am a huge fan of chocolate so naturally this spread of chocolate desserts excited me. The chocolate mousse cake was average. The cake itself was quite dry though the mousse saved it with its moistness so the combination was pretty good. Apple crumble was yummy! The spiced apples were seasoned with enough cinammon (a lot of restaurants compromise on this) and wet enough and topped off with a generous layer of crumble. The waffles were ..... not really waffles? It tasted good but the texture just wasn't right. It was cake-light and crumbly...

The chocolate molten lava cake was heaven. (so much so that it deserves a whole paragraph to itself). Perhaps it's because I love chocolate so much but that particular cake brought chocolate cake to a whole new level! It oozed with chocolatey goodness and there were bits of cake swimming in the sea of fudge. (oh, it was served in a deep long dish so maybe I should call it a pudding... No matter!) hah it was so good that my family and I ladled it onto the unsatisfactory desserts which ultimately made it taste better.

Overall, it was a pretty good lunch
We all left super full and contented-ish.
Good service, especially one waiter who was extremely polite and helpful.
