This woody café is just like a talented hermit enjoying life and peace as it is hard to locate. When I first bumped into this café, I was impressed by its simplicity and soothing atmosphere. Wood is everywhere in this tiny café. Wood bar and even wood menu! And the french background music calms and sooothes the air. I tried the mini chocolate croissant which was highly recommened by the friendly waitress and it definitely becomes a magnet for me. Five flaky mini chocolate croissants are delicately displayed like a star, and the aroma of butter makes me can’t help drooping. But its mini size stops me from devouring but savouring and its dainty presentation further makes me slow down.
Together with the ceylon tea, some lemon slices with a pick are served. The little prince glass set is pretty and cute, but the sugar is even cuter! Instead of being square in shape, the sugar is a piece of puzzle! To keep the tea leaves, a duck steel tea pocket is used.
Nibbling on the horn of the croissant, I was thinking ‘OMG, I can’t believe it can be so incredibly flaky even with this size’. When my mouth reached the molten chocolate, I can’t help biting further and further. Chocolate and croissant is a perfect combination! The amount of chocolate is perfectly right to complement the croissant. This mini chocolate croissant is a must-try item and definitely is my pick in Kindergarden.
