Priced at only MOP395, I cannot deny that the seafood platter here was extremely good value for money. However I will not return to this restaurant again because all the other dishes I had were not only "unimpressive", but VERY BAD. I came to this restaurant quite some time ago but am only digging my photos back up to write about how crappy my experience here was I was first greeted by some spring roll with a shrimp that didn't have much taste at all inside. Luckily "tastelessness" did not apply to all the seafood in the platter (mentioned above) I was next served - the platter was by no means "excitement provoking" at all but it exceeded my expectations - although this may only be because I had low expectations for 12 oysters, 4 shrimps, 6 mussells, crab claw, crab legs AND lobster worth only MOP395.
I was then in the mood for some soup, and seeing that the lobster bisque alone costed HALF the price of the full seafood platter here (about MOP 190) I expected it to taste better than canned soup. But it turned out EVEN WORSE. I wasn't sure if I was drinking lobster bisque or heavily salted red water with only a very slight hint of seafood.
Then I tried the panfried foie gras on beef fillet and the mashed potato underneath turned out to be the only thing on the plate that I felt like eating more than one biteful of. The beef was so tough and dry...but when the PORK dish arrived it seemed tender and moist in comparison ! I swear the pork screamed "GET OUT OF AUX BEAUX ARTS, and NEVER RETURN!!" at me. I felt like I was eating rotten pork cooked 250% because the chef thought that the germs would only die by being overcooked THAT much or something. Wow, I have never had pork harder to chew than THIS, and even the sauce tasted peculiar... on top of this the accompanying spring rolls were inexplicably bad as well, like deepfried batter that has absorbed too much oil.
The waiter asked "care for some dessert?" I politely said "no thanks", thinking "@$%^&XYZ#&@* NO WAY, NEVER EATING ANYTHING HERE AGAIN", paid, and left.
