With a favourable location (just 2 mins from Sheung Wan MTR) in a modern commercial building The Pemberton, it attracts a lot of nearby neighborhood families and friends to gather there.     My friend who is a regular customer introduced 1908BC to me. British Chinese cuisine was created in Chinatown in the UK back in 1908 bringing there authentic Chinese food that was slightly localized to their taste.

    Crispy Aromatic Shredded Duck is served with pancakes. It is a traditional dish originates from the Southern China. The duck is rich in oil yet balanced with the fresh cucumber, and the sweet house sauce was just mouthwatering! The pancake was soft and tender, matching perfectly with the crispy duck. The duck and the sauce went so well with the Baron de Ley red wine from Spain. My friend was allergic to alcohol and there were also considerate non-alcoholic options like mocktail and fruit punch.

    Special Crispy Noodles w/ veggies on menu seemed like a veggie dish but it included much more than that! Jinhua ham (my favourite), squid and shrimp, chicken pieces and several types of veggies made the dish so rich. But the main point of the dish is the crispy noodles. Noodles were slowly fried on the side to be crispy, then dressed with seafood sauce so one bite could give two textures.

    The final dish we ordered was 'KFC' Cauliflower. It was deep-fried then dipped into sweet chili sauce, sprinkled with sesame. You can see from the photo the flower was still juicy inside but with a very thin crispy coating.
