天丼(竹)($180)有四隻蝦、四款蔬菜及一件迷你蝦餅;以食材分量及中環金融中心昂貴地段來衡量,這個價錢都算合理。天丼的天婦羅一般都會採用較為厚身的脆漿,以配合最後淋上的天婦羅甜醬油;但眼前的天婦羅脆漿實在太厚身,賣相唔夠吸引。咬落去脆衣唔脆;蝦肉雖然爽口結實,但肉質唔算彈牙,蝦味亦未夠鮮甜 ⋯⋯ 質素只是普普通通。

かき揚げ天丼($180)即是天婦羅海鮮餅。可以用超級巨型去形容,實在太大塊了,廚師炸好後要切成四、五小塊才能夠舖在飯面。食材包括蝦肉粒、帆立貝粒及新鮮蔬菜條。之前食過的かき揚げ非常美味,但這件味道就一般而已;表面唔香脆,而且實在太過厚身,除了食材之外,有點似正在食帶點濕潤的麵粉漿團。雖然未至於很明顯,但食落口就是感覺到中間有很厚的粉漿。

一向知道日本的天婦羅嚴格來說可以分為關東及關西兩個派別。關東風香濃,炸熟後的天婦羅脆衣較為厚身及深色;關西風清淡香濃,炸熟後的天婦羅脆衣較為薄身及淺色。但無論那一個派別,只要食材新鮮、席前即炸即食,則同樣香脆可口、美味無窮。只要食過 omakase 天婦羅,在吧枱前親眼望著師傅將食材沾脆漿、下油鍋、炸好後去除殘餘油份、最後放到面前的整過過程,就會更加明白到為什麼天婦羅一定要即炸即食。「Agehan」雖然是本地元祖級天婦羅名店,今日第一次品嚐,味道一般而已;可能就是缺少了這一個席前炮制的重點,質素就被香港近年開業的天婦羅後起之秀追過了。

NOT WORTH THE MONEY !!😕😕As we didn’t make a reservation we had to wait around 10 minutes before sitting down. I would really recommend booking in advance as we had to sit on the shared table.There isn’t an a lot of choices and today’s special was beef don rice and hot soba.Beef was not overly fatty but a bit dry, hot soba a little over cooked and gets soggy if you eat slow....But seriously $190 +service charge , come on there are way better choices ! 😣😣😣

As we didn’t make a reservation we had to wait around 10 minutes before sitting down.
I would really recommend booking in advance as we had to sit on the shared table.

There isn’t an a lot of choices and today’s special was beef don rice and hot soba.

Beef was not overly fatty but a bit dry, hot soba a little over cooked and gets soggy if you eat slow....

But seriously $190 +service charge , come on there are way better choices ! 😣😣😣

I should have taken a photo of my friend's regular prawn tempuras (she had the sashimi and tempura set), just to show you. Mine was three times larger than hers. Those giant prawns were really tender and tasty, so beautifully deep fried! Oh, and no tempura sauce needed, as it's delicious already!

Lunch time 來過幾次,之前食過呢到既壽司,魚生,紫菜卷,天婦羅烏冬,鰻魚飯,全部都吾錯,份量多之餘,食物質素都高。今次都想試下其他未食過既野,就叫左牛肉簿燒。成個set 除左個主菜,仲有面豉湯,前菜兩小碟, 同埋白飯。主菜牛肉薄燒已經好大碟,白飯的份量亦吾少,一人餐來講,絕對夠飽有餘。至於味道方面,d 牛肉燒得岩岩好,肉質一d都吾韌,而且碟上仲有肉汁,食的時候,把牛肉點一點碟上的肉汁,再配埋隨碟上的青蔥一齊食,味道超好的 配飯食真的一流 真係每一次來完都覺得無令人失望,每一次都令我的味蕾感到好滿足 另外,跟餐仲有野飲,呢到既咖啡都吾錯。lunch來講價錢雖有點貴,但食物質素同份量來講,都是物有所值的,間中來食一餐獎勵自己也不覺過份 推介

Needed a quick lunch at Exchange Square so decided to sit down at Agehan. The waitresses sat us down quickly and the place was clean. 

The two of us ordered a tempura on rice (5 prawns, a bit of fish and a variety of vegetables) and a udon and tempura (2 prawns and a variety of fish) which stangely also came with a couple of plain sushi rolls.

The udon noodles were fine, nothing spectacular. The tempura was freshly made and hot which was good.  Batter was not the thinest or even very thin (but then cannot expect Tokyo top-class quality here).  Not the thick and plasticky variety either. So I would say it is fine especially for a quick lunch of 30 minutes. What was strange was that it came with two sushi rolls which had no topping or filling. Wonder why?

The tempura on rice was pretty good too. Again, tempura freshly made and I feel that the rice was better value, with 5 prawns (cost just a bit more than the udon) and it made for a filling meal.

Both came with the usual yellow radish slices which was pretty standard. There was also a small serving of dark seaweed with the rice which was far too salty.

Guests were offered coffee at the end of the meal.  Rather aromatic.

今日同D舊同事食Birthday Lunch,去咗呢間我第一次來「AGEHAN日本餐廳」慶祝。對我來說地點方便,容易搵到。店內環境OK舒服,不過比較嘈。至於安排坐位服務,就需要改善一下。事因我舊同事一星期前已經訂位,今日我係第一個到,去到同職員講乜小姐訂咗4位,當然那刻我未能入到坐,結果我D舊同事一個一個來,等了成20分鐘,你知啦中環食LUNCH時間得一個鐘左右,時間對我來說很重要。今日我同我同事都叫呢個是日精選「牛柳粒定食」,D肉質好Juicy又肉味,味道唔錯,價錢$150.除了主菜外,呢SET定食又一樣好特別菜,就係意大利粉SALAD,加少少碎蛋,好特別又幾好味,唔錯。食完之後,呢間餐廳會自動地送上熱咖啡一杯,幾細心下。不過我覺得送甜品仲吸引。總括來說,每人平均消費$250左右,已經包埋請埋舊同事食。

三月十八日(星期二)這天,再與友人前來公司附近的Agehan享用午膳數數手指,距撤離中環的日子只有兩個月左右,這陣子也應該再嚐令人回味的餐廳食肆,Agehan當然是其中一家先後吃過其刺身定食及天婦羅丼,質素屬中上級數這裡的招牌菜是天婦羅,這次一於再encore!上一次吃過天婦羅定食,取價約$200,真的有點貴今次則選了較便宜的天婦羅丼,有兩款,分別是松及竹,相差$30,分別在於一隻天婦羅蝦天丼(竹)每碗$150,在中環黃金地段來說,價格還可接受飯與天婦羅一併上的,四隻炸得金黃的大蝦,爽口鮮甜,質素從來不用擔心還有的是茄子,青椒及野菜餅,也不錯,至少控油做得不懶美中不足,是醬汁略鹹了一點,鹹得要邊吃邊喝着茶哩~之後,也看過其他網友於四年前所寫的食評,這碗天丼賣$90,四年後的今日已變成$150,若這是我人工的加幅,你說多好喔!也值得一提,為何餐飲只有咖啡供"選擇",何解何解?

每碗$150,在中環黃金地段來說,價格還可接受
飯與天婦羅一併上的,四隻炸得金黃的大蝦,爽口鮮甜,質素從來不用擔心
還有的是茄子,青椒及野菜餅,也不錯,至少控油做得不懶
美中不足,是醬汁略鹹了一點,鹹得要邊吃邊喝着茶哩~

之後,也看過其他網友於四年前所寫的食評,這碗天丼賣$90,四年後的今日已變成$150,若這是我人工的加幅,你說多好喔!

也值得一提,為何餐飲只有咖啡供"選擇",何解何解?

臨時決定要去大會堂看表演,要找個地方不用定位、夠近、坐得舒服的地方吃晚飯。再加上時間不多但又要味好,爬了爬文發理這裡晚上應該不會很繁忙,便過來試試看。點菜時發生了件有趣的小插曲,朋友問待應"Tempura set" 和"Tempura rice (Deluxe)"的分別,得到的答案是兩個的件數是一樣的,分別只是Set的天婦羅是直接放在飯上。令我們百思不得其解的是那麼為何要叫'deluxe"呢?  也許上次應該兩個一起叫來比較一下。不想吃的太飽,所以叫了一個 Tempura set 和一個鰻魚飯兩個人分。天婦羅定食的分量不少,有五隻蝦、一塊魚,加上炸冬菇、南瓜、秋葵等。炸蝦十分鮮甜爽口,其他的蔬菜味道也都不錯。鰻魚飯比想像的要大得多,滿滿的一大碗飯上鋪了兩大塊鰻魚,結果雖然我們很努力的吃也沒能吃完。如果下次在中環想要找個人不多又坐得舒服的地方吃晚飯,這裡不失為一個好選擇。

鰻魚飯比想像的要大得多,滿滿的一大碗飯上鋪了兩大塊鰻魚,結果雖然我們很努力的吃也沒能吃完。

這客天婦羅定食午市索價二百多元
天婦羅是另上的,有四隻炸蝦,一條蟹腳,茄子,南瓜,青椒及魚
先吃吃喜歡的蝦天婦羅,炸粉厚度適中,吃起來不感油膩
蝦肉略不夠爽口,反而充滿鮮味的炸魚卻有驚喜
蟹腳亦鮮甜味美,其他的款式,質素屬中上

整體尚算不俗,唯炸蝦的水準卻是一般
用質素及價格來衡量的話,只是給予中等評級
在中環區吃天婦羅,還是以稻菊和穴藏為首選

希望明年今日,大家仍能找個好地方,好好品嚐美食,期待!!!
