我食到辣但唔好辣,不過聽到朋友話想食斯里蘭卡菜當生日飯,我當然無問題啦,而且佢mention到有黑咖哩,聽到都吸引,就膽粗粗去試!見到黑咖哩羊,正!羊唔太so,但d黑咖哩汁堅辣,食落口都未太感覺到辣,亦唔係台灣果種麻辣,但只要配埋米粉食,吸晒d汁,嘩!果種慢慢辣出來既辣,都真係唔野少,汗都出晒來,一口氣都飲晒成杯幾水,所以鍾意食辣既人,必定要試!另外個薯魚辣椒球,係紅辣椒既辣,但唔強,入面係魚同薯蓉,味幾濃,不過多脆而內軟,加埋醬(已經忘記個汁咩味,因為太辣),口感唔錯。最後係side dish,辣野菜,將椰菜、洋蔥等菜蔬切碎加辣,溝埋係最野味,食到少少「short short」聲,清新嘅辣,所以三種辣,三種味度,好特別!

I meant to go there for ages and finally we did. I found everyone very friendly, i was impressed with the service. the decor is nice and homely too.food unfortunately was really salty. it was tasty but way too much salt unfortunately.I would say we were unlucky but we ordered 3 dishes and they were all too salty and I am not someone who eats without salt.we ate all anyway as we were really hungry. we just had to order the double amount of drinks...I usually like Sri Lankan food.

A group of Friends went Hiking at Sai Sung during the Easter holidays. I suggested to try this SriLankar restaurant for lunch as the comment from openrice looks good and the price also seems reasonable. Luckily, the overall experience is out of expectations. All six friends are from different background felt very satisfied and felt it's a good choice. We all took mini bus from Kwun Tong and arrived Sai Lung around 1150. We only called the restaurant to check if seat is available when we got off the mini bus. When we arrived, they well prepared us the table and we were the first group of guests. There are almost six options of set lunch (inclusive of drink) priced is about $100plus @. We decided to order three sets and order other a la cart menu. Surprisingly, the food are tasty and special. We don't have much expectation and we thought it might be very similar to other Indian cuisines, we very enjoyed everything almost everything we ordered. I personally particularly liked the spring roll very different from Chinese spring roll and Indian samosa. I also liked the soup comes together with the set lunch and the beetroot and gothamba roti. I didn't order the masala Tea because I don't want to drink much fluid before hiking, but my friends took two cups as she loved it much.

Everytime we go to Sai Kung, we also stop by AJ's for an authentic experience. The food is amazing with an explosion of flavours.The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is not noisy. They also have a space in the back for large groups.Be sure to check the Watalappam dessert, it's a sort of custard with coconut.

星期日無所事事入西貢兜下風,友人早前曾食過此餐廳,評語中肯,上網睇相又覺浪漫,於是慕名而至。點了兩人套餐,前菜有沙律和湯;主菜有魚、薄餅、咖哩三選一;飯後甜品二選一,以及餐飲。

到訪西貢多次,平時都是吃海鮮或是All Day Breakfast,今次終於一嘗斯里蘭卡菜啦。對於斯里蘭卡這個地方是非常陌生,只知道是近赤道的一個國家。好奇心驅使下一坐下便向GOOGLE大神請教,斯里蘭卡原來就是「獅子國」啊!多虧中史老師當年在教授鄭和下西洋是和我們十五個中史組學生玩角色扮演,到現在即使事隔已多年但還記得呢。好吧,再寫便離題了,但在吃的時候增進自己的文化和知識,感覺很良好啊。因為只有2個人,點菜的時候也真有點難度,甚麼都想試想吃啊,所以對著餐牌思考了很久很久。不過沒有人催促我們點菜,而且地方乾淨光猛,感覺還是很好的。這盤脆片是前菜⋯⋯我也不知道它叫甚麼,反正就很好吃啊。酸酸甜甜的醬料令人胃口大開,所以這一盤前菜很快就被我們消滅掉了。黑咖喱羊肉($108)上桌的時候我是有給這碗黑漆漆的咖喱嚇到的,樣子好不討好呢。黑咖喱入口的味道好像有點怪怪的,有一點點苦,不過多吃兩口便覺得很不錯。咖喱味香濃,羊肉很瘦很瘦,完全沒有脂肪,但不會十分「鞋」口,而且沒有羶味,即便是不太吃羊的媽媽也能接受。Gothamba Rota($45)一直覺得薄餅是咖哩的靈魂,沒有薄餅的咖哩總是欠了甚麼。

一直覺得薄餅是咖哩的靈魂,沒有薄餅的咖哩總是欠了甚麼。上桌時熱騰騰,即使不點咖哩汁味道也很好啊,點了咖哩又另一番風味。

像濕身的蛋糕,吃起來口感像不怎麼細滑的tiramisu ,有乾果和提子乾,味道不是不好,就是有點太甜了。

斯里蘭卡菜, 香港唔多, 氣氛好relax, 全木小屋,有埋木既尖頂天花,好似去左旅行既感覺,今次已經第二次嚟。前菜, 免費的, 好薄的脆片, 配甜酸瓜醬, 醒胃炸魚薯球,似唔醎的馬介休球椰汁原條彩虹鱒魚, 椰汁好濃,質地似咖喱,好香,好多蔬菜,送呢個汁好夾,叫埋薄餅配就最啱! 魚身粉紅,似三文魚,原條不算太大, 但唔多細骨。薄餅$45,叫左酥餅,有兩大塊,捲成個山咁,好味,配鱒魚汁同咖喱都得咖喱羊肉, 汁ok, 但略少,羊肉太大件, 看上去有點乾, 但都霖, ok啦!蕉葉飽飯,幾特色,有炸雞蛋,腰果,酸菜,可選羊牛雞其中一款,我簡左牛肉,但好乾又無味,可試其他肉, 但整體好香,因係黃薑飯,都有咁多配菜,值得試。甜品, 上次試左特色地道既椰香布丁,甜到食唔到, 今次試芝士蛋糕配芒果汁,鬆軟cheese cake, 質地係蛋糕同new york cheese cake之間, 配芒果汁無咁漏, 但食完超飽。
