First disappointment came when our whole lamb shank arrived. We asked it to be cut into pieces and it took at least half an hour for it to arrive. It only came after we've asked the waitor the third time is the lamb very hard to slice. He explained they were waiting for us to finish our appetizer instead (given that we've asked twice before?). We were a big group, ordered loads of other food and it was very late at night - we just wanted our thousand dollar lamb shank to come. No doubt the quality was good and it came without disappoitment, it could be much better if it comes hot enough and not so tough on the outside.

Second disappointment was that last order was 10.30pm and we didn't have enough time to really taste the food. Upon reservation, we were told that as it was weekend, we could only book our table for either 6pm or 9pm. We chose 9pm so to give ourselves time to enjoy eating and chatting (According to their website, they closes at 2am and I've confirmed on the phone with them as well). At 10.25pm, waitor came and told us last order in 5 minutes. By that time, our main has just finished arriving from our initial order (our lamb shank arrived not long before).  We had to rush ordering seconds and dessert at the same time. Our hot dessert came very quickly within 5 minutes while we are still busy digging into our main course and the waitors were trying to take away our mains cutlery at the same time.

It started well but ended in chaos I would say. I didn't expect a restaurant that closes at 2am has last order at 10.30pm - they should have emphasised it on their website or told us when we made reservation or even upon arrival. One hour and a half time limit is not something I anticipated at any other sit-down restaurant in the same category and paying at more than $400 each. They should either change their weekend 2-round policy (i.e. make it 6pm and 8.30pm or 6pm and 8pm) or change their last order time given the restaurant is not closing until nearly 4 hours after the last order.

Here is why:

1.  no more free appitizer bread.  They used to serve this Xinjiang bread for free after you place order.  But this time, no more!!


2.  bad value, very bad.   They have a new menu now although some dishes are same as before. They have increased their price a lot (not just 5 or 10 percent, more like 30%!  Tonight we order a grill prawn, it is HK$138 for just one.  The waitress said it was big, but it is tiny, and just one!! It is just a prawn like 10 cm length.  I would say for this size and the price we paid, we should get minimum 3 of them!
  and the prawn was not properly defrost before they cooked it!!

3.  We ordered the mazze bread with 3 kinds of dips, one of them is hummus, but the hummus is not really like hummus, it's diluted like runny substance, didn't taste like hummus. And this dish costs HK$108


4.  There's a bottle of Fiji water one the table when I asked the waitress she told me it cost HK$80/bottle.  We ordered a bottle of beer (0.5L), HK$80/(0.5L).

5.  I am not a typical Hong Konger I don't take picture of food when I eat.  But this restaurant used to serve Kebab with the metal sticks, but this time, we ordered lamb Kebab and the prawn Kebab, both without sticks ...  Really try to save cost here I think!

6.  very pricy bill with not much food!!  We have we ordered?  Lamb Kebab and one piece of small prawn Kebab, some bread (HK$108), horse meat sausage with rice(HK$128), and eggplant with minced lamb(HK$108), a bottle of water, and a bottle of beer.  That's all, the bill ends up being over HK$800!!

After coming here for so many times, my husband and I both decide that we will not come back any more.  Food quality has decrease, price increased a lot!!

Our favorite dish of the night was the meat bun with mutton ($88). The filling inside was very much like what you might expect in a mutton dumpling. It was seasoned with the black vinegar you get at dumpling shops. It was nicely meaty, juicy, and tangy. The outside wrapper was more pastry-ish than a regular dumpling and is moderately pan fried. On the menu, the deep-fried lamb cops (4pcs, $188) has three chilli peppers, indicating that it's one of the spiciest things on the menu. It is not spicy, not at all. It's covered in fried garlic-- lots of fried garlic-- and it's definitely garlicky. Just not spicy. The lamb is relatively tender, but I definitely like the fried lamb at Ba Yi better. OK, C

We had to try the horse-meat sausages, and there are several dishes involving them on the menu. We chose the Xinjiang rice ($128). The sausage was a new experience. I can't tell you if it tasted like horse, having never had horse before. It was a relatively fine grained sausage, quite soft, with a flavor that struck me as like game-y kielbasa. I had to try it, but it wasn't all that amazing. The rice was very bland. I wouldn't really recommend this. Poor, D

At the end, I had mixed feelings. The menu has a number of exciting selections and is relatively extensive. But my total experience was sub-par. If you make a reservation, they should seat you inside. I glanced at the reservations book when we came in, and I'm pretty sure that many of the people filling up the seats inside were walk-ins. What happened to reserving a table? At the very least, if you make a reservation, and it's July, they should tell you in advance if they'll be putting you outside in the smoking section, where none of the attractions are (belly dancing, music). I don't think I'll be going back here.
Other Info. : There's a $250 minimum per person.

這個飯我覺得是好好吃啊!米飯本身已調了味,放在熱辣辣的石鍋裡面,馬肉腸的味道則比較像豬肉腸,整體吃下去十分惹味及暖胃,很合寒冷的天氣吃。至於是否真的用手抓飯來吃?那就要看你有沒有吳剛師傅的身手了!

一踏出電梯已被那份神秘的氣氛所迷住。 擺放着如盗墓迷城的陳設,仿如博物館。 餐廳那邊漆黑一遍,那未可知的將來實在太吸引了!原來餐廳的入口是水吧,有兩大張蒙着面紗的中東少女牆照,迷樣的眼神彷似在王子面前等待欣賞的肚皮女郎。阿拉丁式的卡座、擱在牆邊的佩劍以至檯中央的金色地圖, 銅造的水壼、不同顏色的調味架、晶瑩的水杯、别緻的花瓶和吊燈......原來屏風背後的主餐廳寛敞明亮,窗外綠悠一片,還有小花園,設有廂座,沙發上有坐墊,悠閒舒適,環境有80分,但座位較密(可能是應付團購客之故),花園是吸煙區,還有少許油煙味,未能盡善,有點可惜。不過單就環境的體驗己值回票價!不知是否受環境影響,食物亦份外稱心。特別是烤羊肉串,剛剛熟,很香軟卻又有肉質的實在,並非嫩肉粉所能,一定要試;燉羊小腿肉,肉質果然瘦嫩,可惜只有數條,味道被大白菜搶了過去,尋常菜一碟而已,而且餐牌上不是說酸菜的嗎??乾果仁牛肚絲味道很好但調味似是日本醬油,沒有新彊感;牛尾酸辣湯的醬油味太重,沒有牛尾香味;羊肉手抓飯太油太淡,我不懂欣賞; 反而蒜香炒什錦很夠味、香口;最特别是芋頭雪糕,味道天然,不是常吃到的香精雪糕,這甜品給這頓飯製造

原來屏風背後的主餐廳寛敞明亮,窗外綠悠一片,還有小花園,設有廂座,沙發上有坐墊,悠閒舒適,環境有80分,但座位較密(可能是應付團購客之故),花園是吸煙區,還有少許油煙味,未能盡善,有點可惜。不過單就環境的體驗己值回票價!

羹造得不錯,甜甜的。小麥米亦令整個羹更有口感。

清真咖喱羊腩

咖喱淡而無味,沒有咖哩的香味,而且十分稀,似咖哩水多過咖哩汁。其實未曾嚐過正宗的清真咖哩,難道這便清真咖哩的特色? 咖哩上亦加入薯仔,不過薯仔沒有煎香,與淡淡的咖哩並不配合。

中國茶

中國菜是整個套餐最有驚喜。入口清香,不酸不澀,不過要喝上等茶何必要到一間主打新疆菜的餐廳?

氣氛

環境是頗佳的,另外侍應亦在身上戴上民族裝飾,每次經過都會聽到叮叮噹噹的聲音,頗特別。

服務

服務一般,雖然有笑容,但是當我喝完茶後亦都沒有主動為我加水。另外亦有落錯單的情況,雖然事後有補救,但己令客人留下一個不好的印象。

總括而言,帕莎環境是一流的,可是食物質素和服務都並逹水準。一分錢一分貨,以八十多元一個午市套餐取價,食客自然對食物水準和服務有更高的要求。可是,食物質素比一般茶餐廳還要差,服務亦與茶餐廳無異,更有下錯單的情況,只好給一個喊臉 。

第一次來到帕莎,是朋友介紹的,一開LIFT門一定感受到其獨特之處------煙霧瀰漫。WAITRESS 說沒有BOOK枱,所以只有近BAR那邊的位置。我反而認為那邊更好,自成一各,一間房兩張枱,很有PRIVACY。食物方面:1. BBQ 羊、雞串剛剛燒好的時候,配上辣椒粉、孜然粉,味道不錯。但是由於冷氣太大,燒肉的油脂很快凝固了,就又乾又柴,所以必須趁熱食。2.忘了是什麼名堂的雞有點意外,沒想到是炸的,有點不像是新彊菜(其實我都不太清楚新彊菜是EXACTLY吃什麼),味道絕對是台式鹽酥雞!只是比較熱氣,味道是ok的。3. 酥皮特選有菠菜角,果乾牛尾及雞肉春卷,香草味,很特別。overall而言,食物bbq/ 羊肉/酥餅/ 麪包和飲料是不錯的,很有特式。 加上獨有的環境和表演,不失為一個好的聚腳點。p.s. 近期原來有信用card promotion, $500減低100,所以一個人其實唔駛MIN.
