相比坊間的法式拿破崙更大件!份量十足!

三層酥皮之間有兩層吉士醬相隔而成,兩者比例平均,層層緊扣很分明!

第一次幫襯時已買了這款來嚐試!引述上一篇食評的描述!
栗子色的外層,灑上薄薄一層白色糖霜!起初,誤以為是栗子蛋糕! 賣相略為遜色!又嗅不出朱古力的香甜!

雖然只有熱情果醬及金箔作簡單裝飾,視覺上不及其他的吸引,但切開後,原來內有乾坤!
層次感十足!真驚喜!

每層之間均有朱古力慕思相隔,先嚐到帶果香味及超酸的熱情果醬,讓味蕾甦醒過來!
朱古力慕思質感細膩!甜度不高!
淡淡的吉士忌廉濕潤又輕盈!
朱古力海綿蛋糕鬆軟!甜而不膩!不肯定是否芒果味 jelly?!入口彈牙!味道帶酸,酸得來卻不太自然! 最底層是朱古力味濃郁的朱古力脆粒,相信是運送需時的關係,鬆脆度減退!
相比之下,最底層明顯較甜膩!
這款是五款之中最快溶掉!
另外,我發現店員細心地以膠紙固定其位置,值得一讚!

Even since Arome Bakery Room opened I have been a fan of their bakery.

I have tried most of their products at the Popcorn branch but recently I tried their breakfast series that were delicious and there are a few new and exclusive cakes at this branch so I had to come back for it.
Initially IVYCWK gave me a buy 3 get 1 free coupon which I was going to use however when I got there the ones I wanted to buy were sold out so decided to get it another day.

However I was so lucky to get a chance to try their other cakes because Seaton could not make it and thanks to Mjqueenie7e and IVYCWK for bringing me along and last but not least the pretty representative from Arome Bakery Room.

When we got there, there was a hoard of people buying cakes. Admiralty is the best location so far because there are offices nearby where people can treat themselves to cakes during lunch or a cake after work.

Near the counter they had ginger syrups that are good for colds and they cost cheaper than buying them online.
They also had boxed teas for sale, which is an essential drink especially with cakes.
It would be good if the tea could be sold there as a beverage on the a la carte menu because I would certainly pay extra for that instead of the ordinary Hong Kong style teas and there are so many Westerners around that area too.
Although I haven’t tried the ginger syrup but that could be a winter drinks special.

I really think that Arome Bakery Room should have an independent website from Arome Bakery which is green and white because the branding is vastly different from the Arome Bakery line.
They already have nice pictures they could use on the website, which is similar to the Korean website Skinfood.
It would be a new and girly website made simple and there could be a section where you can click the cakes you want by its picture and select a time to collect, votes for the prettiest cakes, download wallpapers of the cakes and the theme of the shop etc.
Their branding is also successful because they have consulted Chieko Go from Japan who has been a successful consultant for famous cafes etc.

Anyway back to the cakes, I finally got to try the Sea Salt cinnamon and banana cake, mille feuille which are EXCLUSIVE at this branch!! I tried to get it before but it was always SOLD OUT!!!
But there are still other cakes I want to try such as the amazake cake.

In comparison to other Mille Feuilles, the size of this one was rather big and the custard filling was cool and soothing, the sweetness was just right.
The pastry was flakey but not too buttery which was good.
I was really surprised it tasted exactly the same as the ones in UK so I am definitely going to get it again if it is not sold out!
It would be good if there was another version using the same pastry, instead of custard they could have cream with some strawberry/raspberry jam and on the top layer iced (just like iced buns).
The mille feuille here is baked into large sheets approximately A4 size and cut into smaller pieces to make the mille feuilles.
It looks visually nice that one side of the top is dusted with icing sugar.

The eclairs have kept their standard, they look and taste the same as the ones at the TKO branch but there are less green tea leaves on top. The filling inside was silky smooth green tea filling flavoured custard.

The bottom layer was hazelnut egg white cake and it was filled with chunky banana pieces and lovely light buttercream that was white.
Initially I thought it was pieces of banana stuck at the sides of the cake but when I dug into the cake, the width of the banana pieces were same as the width of the cake!
All credits definitely go to the salted whipped buttercream because it was gently salted.

是晚就約了兩位食友準時 6:30 pm 到達,原來 marketing 的美女 Michelle 早已在店內守候,還細心地為我們簡介店子產品。據悉這旗艦店和北角炮台山友邦店的產品,大致相若,都是以日、歐式蛋糕及西餅作主打,例如來自里昂、造型的骰可愛嘅 「trio 法式三重奏」、「七款 petite dessert」、靈感源自五感旬菓子的「gokan cake collection 五感の蛋糕 」,以及做緊買 2 送 1 的忌廉泡芙、éclair 法式泡芙等,不過當然也有些特定出品,如現場即製的法式拿破崙,就只限新店有售。

由於新店沒坐位供應,實在不方便進食,加上剛吃完下午茶自助餐的我,實在食力有限,故 Michelle 亦很識趣地為我們準備了一些飲品及餅食,如用上日本抹茶粉製造的玉露蛋糕、季節限定的鹿兒島紫薯蛋糕、藍莓及檸檬味的法式吉士撻等作拍攝之用,另亦為我們每人準備了一盒店中極具人氣的蛋糕甜品,好讓我們帶回家與家人分享。

至於吃過的五款甜點,就分別有綠茶泡芙條 ($18)、熱情果雙重朱古力蛋糕 ($24)、法式拿破崙 ($36)、焦糖慕絲朱古力脆脆蛋糕 ($24)、海鹽玉桂香蕉蛋糕切餅 ($28)。先說 éclair 法式泡芙條,其實店裡共有 4 款口味可供選購,包括榛子黑朱古力、紅桑子、焦糖牛奶朱古力及綠茶,記得之前北角店還有款柑橘白朱古力啊!至於我試過的綠茶泡芙條,外層入口脆卜卜的,咬開內裡全是灌得滿滿的吉士忌廉,吃來外酥內滑,還帶著一抹微弱的綠茶清香,口感不俗,只是稍嫌箇中的綠茶味不夠突出,欠了點吃後的餘甘。

至於熱情果雙重朱古力蛋糕,若不是先前已翻閱過產品名稱及價目表,單看賣相,初頭還以為這款是栗子蛋糕添!不過原來切開後,蛋糕內裡確有乾坤。以分層形式出現的朱古力慕思,入口細膩濃滑,帶輕柔的朱古力質感;而朱古力海綿蛋糕,細嚼下感覺鬆軟綿潤;香甜幼滑的吉士忌廉,則讓蛋糕口感更完美和諧;而底層的巧克力脆粒,更令蛋糕增添了一重香脆口感;再配上法國品種的瓦黃色熱情果醬,味道酸中帶微甜,與蛋糕的甜膩起了調和作用,帶來味覺滿足,逗人喜愛。

法式拿破崙,據說是以原塊酥皮整個出爐,再由餅師細心地裁切成長條狀發售。至於這件以傳統的三層酥皮及兩層吉士忌廉醬組成的 mille feuille,由於是外帶回家,並非即製現吃關係,鬆化度確實是稍減,幸而夾著的吉士,質感細滑,而且甜度適中,吃罷完全沒半點膩滯感覺,而酥皮層咬落雖沒發出清脆的裂開聲響,但入口仍帶點酥酥脆脆,加上頂層灑上的糖粉,令味道鮮明豐富,而且拿破崙個子亦實在非常大,一件已足夠與家人分享,以 $36 售價,其實十分抵吃。

新近加入的焦糖慕絲朱古力脆脆蛋糕,味道有點像大熱的 craquelin au chocolate, 只不過在光滑的表層上加了不少脆粒,而且整件蛋糕的密度和朱古力的濃度都十分之高,加上蛋糕夾層的慕絲,口感軟滑香甜,相信是朱古力迷的心水之選。

海鹽玉桂香蕉蛋糕切餅,以海鹽、肉桂、軟牛油忌廉及香蕉作主打材料。切了三分一品嚐,原來蛋糕的肉桂味道頗淡,入口完全被牛油的香味掩蓋,不過幾片清晰可見的新鮮香蕉肉,吃來香甜軟綿,而法國海鹽的鹹味亦有平衡香蕉果肉及蛋糕的甜膩作用。至於夾層,以壓碎的榛子伴入蛋白做成 sponge cake, 入口既有果仁的香氣,亦帶著蛋白的清爽,確是一件造型簡單,口感和層次都十分複雜的蛋糕。

其實場內還有多款滿有日本風情的切餅如柚子芝士、宇治玉露紅豆及 Michelle 極力推介的薑汁濃縮飲品等發售,下次再來的話,也想一試,在此再次多謝店方的邀請和兩位美女食友的相陪。

放工後去左金鐘廊某化妝品專櫃拎gift...點知去到金鐘廊...我完全認唔到路...因為變了Lab Concept仲要當晚做緊個opening event之類, 好多人呀!!!行完化妝品專櫃, 我見到裝修得好精緻的東海堂梗係去睇下有咩靚靚蛋糕~原來即場有得派小型拿破崙, 我當然要排隊拿破崙果然是東海堂的招牌出品, 酥皮+吉士忌廉, 超香甜又鬆脆!!本想多拿一個, 不過派晒了, 得番小型杏仁泡芙, 我照殺泡芙細細, 但塞滿了杏仁吉士忌廉, 好滿足呢~!!!看到凍櫃內各樣的cakes, 我決定要買一款黎試下, 其中一個叫海鹽玉桂香蕉蛋糕, 我就要試下點樣海鹽法一咬落去, 就感覺到是很香玉桂味的忌廉蛋糕, 中間夾住了香蕉本身以為會較甜, 但海鹽的咸味卻不知從哪裡走出來, 好像中和了偏甜的味道底層的蛋糕則比較"煙un", 吃這款cake真是多種口感和味道, 驚喜!!!

放工後去左金鐘廊某化妝品專櫃拎gift...點知去到金鐘廊...我完全認唔到路...因為變了Lab Concept

仲要當晚做緊個opening event之類, 好多人呀!!!

行完化妝品專櫃, 我見到裝修得好精緻的東海堂
梗係去睇下有咩靚靚蛋糕~

原來即場有得派小型拿破崙, 我當然要排隊


拿破崙果然是東海堂的招牌出品, 酥皮+吉士忌廉, 超香甜又鬆脆!!
本想多拿一個, 不過派晒了, 得番小型杏仁泡芙, 我照殺


泡芙細細, 但塞滿了杏仁吉士忌廉, 好滿足呢~!!!

看到凍櫃內各樣的cakes, 我決定要買一款黎試下, 其中一個叫海鹽玉桂香蕉蛋糕, 我就要試下點樣海鹽法


一咬落去, 就感覺到是很香玉桂味的忌廉蛋糕, 中間夾住了香蕉
本身以為會較甜, 但海鹽的咸味卻不知從哪裡走出來, 好像中和了偏甜的味道
底層的蛋糕則比較"煙un", 吃這款cake真是多種口感和味道, 驚喜!!!

週末的下午, 洋溢著假日的心情.沒有平時急促人流的上班地點,於是逛逛金鐘廊, 一向喜愛甜點的我被裝修簡約舒服的'AROME'吸引住!聽說這間是旗艦店 雖然之前吃過德福及青衣分店的產品, 反正假日即管放放縱買幾件試試吧!是次推介:拿破倫.鮮黃色的吉士很有蛋香味,看得出是司傳即場整製!有誠意之作,!吃完幾款甜點,反正價錢大眾化,吃多一兩件也不過份呢! Sweet 哂 !

Other Info. : 拿破倫最主要是個酥皮, 司傅要把搓好的麵皮不斷重複對摺,這樣焗出來的酥皮才夠鬆化!AROME ,是有心去製造, 喜愛拿破倫的朋友,值得一試吧!

Found out about this new branch from IVYCWK's review. Initially I thought it was a Cafe because it served scrambled eggs with ciabatta for breakfast and I thought there was a sit in area too, however it is just a takeaway shop.It would be great if they had an Arome Bakery Room Cafe in the future, the cakes and selections could be more extensive since they are now serving milkshakes at this branch too.The breakfast set costs $22 but luckily you can buy the items separately because I do not drink

Found out about this new branch from IVYCWK's review.
Initially I thought it was a Cafe because it served scrambled eggs with ciabatta for breakfast and I thought there was a sit in area too, however it is just a takeaway shop.

It would be great if they had an Arome Bakery Room Cafe in the future, the cakes and selections could be more extensive since they are now serving milkshakes at this branch too.

The breakfast set costs $22 but luckily you can buy the items separately because I do not drink HK style milk tea or Coffee.

The scrambled egg with ciabatta comes with ham, cheese or mushroom.
Ham was sold out so I was limited to a choice between cheese or mushroom, however I could not decide so I ended up getting both.

After unwrapping the Ciabatta bun which was wrapped like a burger, the appearance of the bun was just a dusted bun and not really a ciabatta bun which is much harder.
Although it was not the real ciabatta, I preferred this bun because it was soft and dusted and light for breakfast.

I tried this one first, when it was unwrapped, the egg had a brownish colour which is normal because of the mushroom juices.
The scrambled egg was soft and fluffy and the mushrooms were earthy hard button mushrooms which were fresh and not the canned typed of mushrooms.

This one tasted slighty strong because of the cheese but it was also nice as well.
It would be great if they had a mega ciabatta with scrambled eggs, mushrooms and cheese!
The eggs in both buns were fluffy and not greasy.

賣相略為遜色!又嗅不出朱古力的香甜!

吃完麵, 下一站就是東海堂, 這家分店不同之處是有提供不少特式甜品, 只有在arome bakery room這系列的店子才供應. 看看餅櫃, 選擇也不少, 就揀選了最吸引我們的一款甜點.海鹽玉桂香蕉蛋糕 $28: 7分, 一件餅賣$28, 還是特價的價位, 又真的比平常版的東海堂更加貴. 這件蛋糕, 層次分明, 面頭有朱古力片及吉士忌廉, 吉士是幾香甜的. 中間的就是海鹽玉桂軟牛油忌廉, 不過玉桂味道未算濃郁. 配上新鮮香蕉, 而底下就是榛子蛋白蛋糕, 也算鬆軟的.還算是有水準的, 把幾種看似不太相關的材料結合在一起, 但效果不俗. 店子還有一特別之處, 就是有個響鐘, 當鐘響的時候, 就是出爐的時候. 下次大家經過聽到鐘響要留意了.吃完蛋糕, 是時候會合總管及Min姐, 開始我們的下午茶聚會.
