Went here for lunch with a colleague. The $138 lunch buffet seems good value for money to give it a shot (costs additional to add main course and exclude tea or coffee).

The bar was covered with a good array of appetisers - bread, empanda, tortilla, chorizo, salami, Manchego, a selection of salads, fruits and desserts plus a big pan of paella. Food is more than enough to feed an average Asian appetite.

Can't go wrong with the appetisers and salads, so the challenge came from the paella. I found the rice overcooked and therefore too soggy to fairly claim the dish as paella. 

Worst of all dining experiences, we found a strand of curly hair in our food. Super gross! This ruined our appetites totally that we could not eat on anymore. We made a complaint to the one of two servers, and all we got was a blank face without any apology though she immediately took all the plates on our table away, allegedly in an attempt to destroy the evidence?

Food is only average, bad hygiene, not excellent service. There is absolutely no reason to return.

I had free flow of sangria which you can make yourself at the sangria bar.  I really liked that idea as there were so many different types of fruit to choose from!

We sat down and food just kept coming...it was endless!

The food that landed on our table were...mixed green salad, shrimps, oysters, smoked salmon, parma ham and bread, tomatoes, green peppers, paella, croquettes, grilled beef, spanish egg omelette, pork, potatoes, chorizo...that's all I can remember at the moment.

Most of the vegetables as well, nothing that jumped out and was memorable.
The girlled beef was delicious!  It was slightly cooked on the outside, red raw inside, my favourite!  
Also, what is there not to love about croquettes and spanish egg omelettes!!

Of course, the best part was dessert, they served apple crumble with vanilla ice cream, freshly bakes chocolate chip cookies AND brownies!  All of the desserts were VERY good, fresh from the kitchen.  If you're a dessert lover, go for sangria and dessert!  It's a must!

收費方面每人為HKD 288 , free flow啤酒 , 果汁, DIY Sangria 另加HKD 188 , 如想要free flow的cava , bloody mary & wine 就再另加HKD 100 , 開心的日子當然少不了喝有氣的cava,所以一人總共收費為HKD 635 左右。

不知道是不是餐廳的模式跟先前openrice看到的不同了,cold cuts , 沙律等都不再是像酒店般自己出去拿,侍應說只要坐下他們就會把食物捧在你面前,其實一開始是有點confused的,我滿心期待眼前一車的cold cuts ,等了很久都沒有人拿給我們,眼見有很多枱客人都是自己過去拿,所以我們也是這樣做

接近尾聲的時侯還會有一個小遊戲,就是侍應們會拿一個很長咀的酒瓶把Sangria倒入你的咀裡,看看你是一口氣喝到多久,可以跟友人一比高下,而他們用的這個Sangria是沒有酒精的,所以大家不用擔心。

總括來說,所有的食物都是一般,沒有太過驚喜,不過服務不錯,環境舒服,加上價錢不貴,是一個很不錯的weekend brunch 的地方,值得再來。

But better grab the Paella while its still fresh and hot. It tastes better while its hot although not the best Paella i've had. We finished the meal with some really fresh and sweet mangoes & Papaya, and some Penna Cotta & Baked Apple Cake.

The restaurant got quite full at the end. The valued lunch they offer seems to be a real successful marketing strategy.

Friends and i decided to come back for their happy hour offer of unlimited flows of red/white & sangria to try it out.

真慶幸我是座在廚房出菜的第一張檯,所以都能拍到食物們的全相。主菜來了!同樣是用食物車推出來,服務員親切的問道每位客人是否對車上的食物有興趣再分上細碟供人享用。

先來的是煙燻三文魚,看是不是排得美美的?大小姐最欣嘗的卻是伴碟的椰菜花,燒得香口又重牛油香,讚讚讚。

看似平平無其的烤黑鱸魚,其實是先用鹽把整條黑鱸魚蓋上,放入焗爐,焗熟後再把皮烤一烤,所以外面帶點焦,但肉質卻是鮮嫩無比!! 黑鱸魚厚肉非常,檸檬和蒜帶走了魚的腥味。墊著魚的是Romesco Sauce。上網一查,才知道Romesco Sauce是由杏仁、松子、榛子、紅辣椒和橄欖油等材料做成,所以醬汁呈紅色,味道較特別,和黑鱸魚蠻配。

Upon entry I thought we got the wrong location. The place seemed absolutely packed, it was only after some navigation through the crowd that we were led to a quieter area at the back where people do sit down for food (still using bar tables and high rise seats though). I had a sinking premonition that told me this place is not designed for diners, rather as a chillax joint that serves casual tapas and drinks. Our first instincts are always accurate...

To be honest, this cannot compare with the real deal you get in Barcelona, or even that in the Hong Kong restaurant Catalunya. The toast is way too thick to be considered "bikini"; unless this is a particularly well-built and voluptuous lady in a bikini...There is also too much inside this bikini, the ham slices are substantive and requires chewing, the texture of the cheese is too "coarse" and the truffle flavour is lost. None of the exquisite, delicate yet balanced combination you get in THE REAL DEAL. This is a cousin of the panini and the bikini...why not call it the pikini or banini instead. Rated 5.8/10.

OK, so I'm impressed by the choice of crockery. They serve you in Le Creuset, which did serve to score points. Likely the ONLY points worthy of this dish. Do not be tempted by the name, and one will be easily misled to be anticipating tender succulent beef cheeks. NO - you get the main course of beef broth, the beef cheeks are the 湯渣, only accessory to the main character of the broth. What this means is that the beef cheeks are tasteless AND chewy! Is that 48 hours of goodness seeped into the broth and nothing left in the beef cheeks? In that case I think I can serve the same in my own humble kitchen. Further, it's not even fulfilling, with 2 meagre pieces of beef charged at around $200. Rated 2/10.

Anyone who's been to Valencia will have tasted the authentic paella. Yes, it does and should come in a huge, flat wok. So there they've got at least something right. Now to the rice - wrong type of rice, wrong consistency, wrong temperature, wrong flavour. What more can I say? Mediocrity...Rated 3/10.

Not bad, perhaps because I haven't had the benefit of tasting a better rendition. (Honestly I have such low expectations for this restaurant already). It's special, because of the grainy sauce and slightly cinnamon-y taste of the filling. The yoghurt icecream does not have the full and tangy flavour of yoghurt, I've tasted much better versions of that at least. For encouragement I'd rate this 6/10. 

Conclusion
Come for drinks perhaps, but not even their sangria is worth mentioning....

I love padron peppers. Online, Bocareya's menu says they use shishito peppers, but their in-store menu does not. Perhaps there's been a change? I like both, and I'm not sure I can reliably tell the difference. These were great-- lots of flesh on the peppers, an appropriate amount of salt and char, not wilty at all. At $68, I thought they were a little stingy with the peppers. But given that they're a rarity on HK menus, and places like 22 Ships absolutely do not know how to cook them, I was quite satisfied. A-

The bikini sandwich takes its name from a concert hall in Barcelona. This one had black truffles, jamon, and tetilla cheese, a Galician cheese that's presumably not the sort of thing that you'd find in Barcelona. But I'm not knockin' it, because I thought the cheese was powerful and appropriately so, given its role of standing up to the ham and truffle. I thought the sandwiches were a little limp and the bread a little cardboard-y. Good, definitely not great: B-

The spread was quite garlicky, which is fine by me, but let me take a moment and give you a recommendation: the "pan con tomate" at Tapeo, which bears next to no relation to the stuff you'll get at Bocareya or Barcelona, is in my opinion fantastic. The grilled octopus comes with potatoes and the slightest drizzle of "spicy" sauce. I'm going to be a hypocrite for once (alright, once among many many times) and say that although I'm always going on and on about how restaurants over-slather things in sauces, I really really wanted lots more sauce on this. The potatoes were bland and hardly had a reason to be. The octopus was nicely smoky, meaty, and a little chewy but not in the bad way octopus can be chewy. Only recommended if you're an octopus fanatic. B-

I don't dwell on presentation, but sometimes I shake my head quitely. The bombas contained (sigh) wagyu beef, HK's favorite meaningless-monikered beef, and were topped with a tiny amount of bravas sauce and some mayo-- ahem, excuse me, aioli. The croquettes were nicely fried, but they too were bland and again needed more sauce. If you've got some fish or some asparagus or whatever, by all means, go easy on the sauce. But potatoes are meant to be sauced. For a potato, to be is to be sauced. If you want a good potato bomb, I'd recommend Pokka cafe. This I'd say was only OK: C.

Dessert was "Spanish toast," which is more or less pound cake. 'Nuff said.

The ambiance was strange. Our server was running around the restaurant yelling "woot woot" (that's an inexact transcription) every few seconds. The music was from between 10 years ago (Modest Mouse) and twenty ("Smells Like Teen Spirit"), which is fine by me but makes me wonder: has that stuff come back or is there just some suburban American white guy my age who's in charge of the music here? I will give them props for not cramming us in with other diners-- there was plenty of room where we were sitting and plenty of table space for all the tapas-- though none of the servers seemed to have any clue how to slightly move a plate to fit a different plate onto the table, even when there was tons of space. I mean, really.

Really. Final verdict: not recommended. I prefer food-wise, in no particular order, Tapeo, 22 Ships, Fofo, Iberico & Co, and Numero 15 for tapas. I have not had worse tapas in Hong Kong than here. I've had worse experiences at tapas places (ahem, 22 ships), but not worse tapas. This place is not bad by any means, but not good and does not stand up to the competition at all.
