其實我就係住喺巴丙頓道附近。每次經過都好想食。但係一至五都要返工,平日真係食唔到。重點係雖然係街鋪,星期日係唔開架。今日咁岩星期六經過呢,就去試一試啦。人就梗係貪心架啦。咁難得就到時間食,就要個雙拼。係就係貴咗啲。但係好好味喎。佢個雲吞幾大隻,而且雲吞裏面隻蝦係好彈牙。牛腩亦都係唔係好肥膩,而且醃腌夠入味。個湯加埋咗啲腩汁呢,鹹得來係非常之有肉味,幾老火。鴨旦面呢,都非常之彈牙,口感十足。唔知會唔會都係人手做果種竹升麵呢?再嚟一個腩汁菜心。非常之大碟下。菜好新鮮,冇得彈。再加埋杯凍檸茶真係very good。買單好似都要$7-80。不過高質素當然都願意比多啲錢嘅。呢種懷舊昔日香港粥麵店做嘅係高質素嘅食品。座位係少,鋪位係細。食嘅係用心嘅味道。

佢個雲吞幾大隻,而且雲吞裏面隻蝦係好彈牙。
牛腩亦都係唔係好肥膩,而且醃腌夠入味。

鴨旦面呢,都非常之彈牙,口感十足。

The beef brisket was tender and juicy and the tendon was good. The soup base was average. The wonton filling was a bit dry for me but the wonton soup base was tastier than the beef soup.Beef ball had a nice beefy savoury taste. The fish balls were not very flavoursome, the texture had a slight crunch like cuttlefish balls. Chilli oil was very good. Paired well with the toppings. They also had the orange chilli sauce which looks like paste which is great. Vegetable was too soft.

家住附近,所以有時候肚子餓又不想走太遠會來這家麵檔E肚。不要看這家店外表好像還停留在30年前,裡面很小也沒有什麼裝潢可言,但就是這種小店煮出最棒最好吃的食物。Menu直接用手寫的,貼在牆上,連價錢都是用舊式的寫法,有時候自己都看不懂哈哈。我常常點牛腩牛筋湯河粉。這裡的牛腩牛筋不得了,超級無敵好吃!牛筋腩燜得很淋很淋,非常入味,牛肉放到口裡要融化的感覺!!牛腩汁湯底不會咸,味道剛剛好。分量不算大,女生來說剛剛好!真心希望這家麵檔能一直做下去!!

今天中午一時由中環自動電梯一直上到堅道,然後一直向西面的方行,大約在13:40去到般咸道與柏道時看到一間小小的牛腩面店,因為此店非常之古舊,令我想起老香港的牛腩面地道風味,最後我決定入去看看及嘗試一下。而我選擇了牛腩、雲吞、油菜加三丸面,一次過試照他們的推介,第一就是喝口湯底,我就吃不出有味精呀,我就連忙每一嘗試味道,牛腩牛根都很好味,連雲吞都不錯,而三寶丸就沒有什麼特別,最後我當然與老闆閒聊幾句啦,原來他是每天7時就回到此店做湯底,直至11時才正式開始營業,這樣的面店都是買少見少。而老闆也說了,若業主加租他也打算結束這快50年的老店,所以我一定會再吃多幾次這店,因為香港的傳統面店真的不多,加上這是原汁原味的老店更難逃時間的巨輪。

轉個頭,我點了一個雙併麵,牛腩雲吞麵。單是說牛腩,味道是十分之香口的,而且有極明顯的五香粉味道。另,這牛腩的肉雖然香,但質感有少少特別,特別在這牛腩,是腍得入口即溶的,但吃入口的時候,完全不乏味,完全是牛腩的感覺,不是用別的肉來充的。雲吞雖然夠份量,夠大,但味道始終未算是最鮮的,令我有少少保留。

吃這碗麵是,可是非常之輕鬆同充滿了感覺,但前面提過,這碗麵是不便宜的,印象中找數用了48元,說真,一點也不誇張,但絕對令我從夢境中的深水埗跳回來。

雖然是貴,但多年來,在西半山花枝招展的《枝記麵家》永遠是一個令半山居民及學生們人時常回憶起的名字。不計價錢,只說味道,《枝記麵家》絕對是一枝獨秀。我研究過價錢牌,建議大家下午茶時段來,經濟很多。

凍華田:好大杯.冰粒亦少,用黑白淡奶沖和華田粉份量恰到好處.只要味濃.甜度不高.就係好飲...

牛腩河:湯底是大地魚湯.不過只有淡淡香味.河粉幼滑,但食到最後很碎..牛腩用磨鼓醬製成的.雖則牛味欠決.但很林身,一咬就斷開.顏色偏深色.味道卻不濃.

埋單32元.整體上我滿意.但要再去半山有難度.就算下次再試.我估計都要隔好長時間才會

腩汁本身惹味濃郁,唐生菜吸收了它的香氣,另本來平凡的它,味道也頓時立體起來.

不得不提的是這裡的辣椒油,辛中帶炒過的香料味道,入口的質感也脆脆的,加進湯麵裡也能另後者生色不少.平時我不太吃辣椒油的,但也許是那幾天實在太辛苦了,心情更是不佳,肚子雖在抗議但嘴巴卻麻木掉,要不是用東西點刺激食慾,補充力量,我想我可能真的捱不下去.

人說心情影響味覺,我想就是這個意思吧.

本身係附近既大學讀書, 一次偶然去左食枝記既牛腩麵, 從始就一食上癮佢既牛腩係用古法磨豉整既, 好入味, 其中用左根腩雙間、梅花間竹既部位,下下入口即溶, 讓人百吃不厭!至於牛丸和墨丸都是一絕,比起香港絕大部分地方為佳!不可不提的就是那河粉, 用上了越南河,爽滑而透明,入口的那種美味感覺很不一樣!

Today is a good day to eat cheap and eat out. Have been spending too much on Starbucks. And gotta move my fat self away from campus, and do the minimal amount of exercise needed to keep me alive. Oh my. So little exercise. Walked around 7 minutes to this small, old restaurant, and ordered what I came for.It was lunch-hour: lots of students from SSGC coming for lunch coz it's super cheap and the food is excellent. They probably order take-away. School's just 2 minutes away. Food: I had a $24 Beef

Walked around 7 minutes to this small, old restaurant, and ordered what I came for.
It was lunch-hour: lots of students from SSGC coming for lunch coz it's super cheap and the food is excellent. They probably order take-away. School's just 2 minutes away.

You can see that portions aren't large at all. A guy would need about 2 of these bowls to be truly satisfied. So, at $24, it's not exactly what I'd call cheap but around these parts this price is acceptable. Plus there aren't many stores serving up proper, authentic beef brisket in good broth in the mid-levels.
Beef brisket itself was flavorful, tender and the structure was quite interesting. The lean meat and cartilage/collagen? came in alternate layers. Not sure which part of the cow that came from, but it was not fat at all, and gooey (in a good way). I prefer more meat, less collagen. Coz I like the flavour that goes into the meaty parts.
Beef balls were average. Had better ones elsewhere (in Wanchai). These were a bit hard, and weren't savory enough. I think they were also a bit small. Petite - is characteristic of this restaurant! In fact that restaurant itself is super small. you could fit at most 25 diners inside the cramped space.
Service:
The shopkeeper and most probably owner is nice.

Conclusion:
Will definitely come back again in near future. Good value for money.

在大學幾年, 竟然一次都未來過在附近的枝記, 連饞嘴的自己都覺得不可思議。因為要回大學找些資料, 途中經過般含道, 又不想吃得太多, 順理成章走上來吃碗麵。裝修非常懷舊, 好在來的時候人不多, 可以選近門的桌子坐, 看看電視。看到牆上的雜誌剪報才知這裡馳名的是牛筋和牛腩麵, 但我是不吃牛的喎... 此乃「捉到鹿唔識脫角」之一。只好要了四寶麵 ($25), 當中的牛丸轉了魚片。另要了油菜 ($11), 菜心全走。不久已到了學校的午飯時間, 不少學生哥來吃麵, 不一會全店都滿了。所有食物都是在店面旁邊那狹小的舊廚房內製作, 都要等一下的。四寶麵有墨魚丸、貢丸、魚蛋各兩粒, 還有兩片魚片。四種丸類之中, 除了貢丸咬下去有點油香又幾爽身之外, 其餘三款其實都比較普通, 軟腍腍的無厘質感。麵底比較腍, 好在無鹼水味, 湯底少不免有一點味精啦。油菜是為了均衡飲食而點的, 果然清爽無油, 清甜無筋菜蔬又豈有難吃之理。回來寫食評的時候, 才發覺另一樣「捉到鹿唔識脫角」之事, 是無飲到奶茶! 有機會再來的時候定要點一杯試下有幾好飲!

聽聞枝記的牛腩可以和名店九記相比,今天終於可以和老公驗証一下。我點了牛腩河($19),而老公則叫了牛腩雲吞麵($23)。 粉麵送上來時一看,OMG!真細碗!而最令人莫名奇妙的是老公的牛腩雲吞麵,雲吞只有二粒,有無搞錯呀!計起來,每粒雲吞值$2,超貴!我們以為這些雲吞有什麼特別,但食落一D都唔咬口,蝦和肉的味道又麻麻地!至於牛腩就仲離奇,我們叫的是牛腩,送來的卻是近牛腱的部位,而這些部位似一點兒牛肉味都沒有,並似是被過份烹調,所以肉質是不正常的偏軟淋。 唉!估不到一間經營多年的老字號這樣對待生客!因為很多人都是慕名而來,而這些第二代的接捧人卻把次等食物給生客吃,試問有什麼生客會再來光顧?如果這間店舖再不改善經營的手法,將來一定會被時代淘汰!
