收到舊同學的邀請,參加了是夜他們的婚宴,假於康樂大廈的地下的潮江春,不用我提大家也知,潮江春又是美心的其中一員,看來是夜的菜式相信也不會失準的了。來到的時候還來得及和一對新人拍照留念,之後也花了好一陣子當場註冊,幸好來之前吃了個Gelato,還未至於打鼓。辦完正事,終於也有我吃了,先來的當然是燒豬,這隻乳豬每塊之上都貼上了一塊小小的金萡,看起來多了分貴氣,但對吃味一點幫助也沒有,一口咬下,燒豬皮真的很脆,但皮下有一層厚厚的脂肪,這豬真的很肥,要去掉了一大塊脂肪才能吃,跟來的荷葉包是挺鬆軟的,吃起來味道不錯,但兩者也不夠熱,很明顯是開席時間延遲了,所以廚房失去了預算吧。第二道菜是紅顏五柳醬燒蝦球,也同樣有不夠熱這個問題,但其實除了不夠熱之外,食味確是不俗的,蝦球是炸過了再扣汁,外層真的很脆,如果那脆漿能再薄一點會更好,而在內的蝦肉很爽口,配合如咕嚕肉的酸酸甜甜的五柳醬,真的挺好吃的,跟來的蓮藕片如吃薯片一樣,很脆的,美味。第三道菜是呈祥玉帶桂花蚌,用上了荷蘭豆、紅黃椒、桂花蚌及帶子同炒,桂花蚌及帶子也很肥美,帶子夠厚肉,吃起來有咬口,桂花蚌滑溜鮮爽,其餘的荷蘭豆、紅黃椒也很是不錯,爽嫩無

第二道菜是紅顏五柳醬燒蝦球,也同樣有不夠熱這個問題,但其實除了不夠熱之外,食味確是不俗的,蝦球是炸過了再扣汁,外層真的很脆,如果那脆漿能再薄一點會更好,而在內的蝦肉很爽口,配合如咕嚕肉的酸酸甜甜的五柳醬,真的挺好吃的,跟來的蓮藕片如吃薯片一樣,很脆的,美味。

第三道菜是呈祥玉帶桂花蚌,用上了荷蘭豆、紅黃椒、桂花蚌及帶子同炒,桂花蚌及帶子也很肥美,帶子夠厚肉,吃起來有咬口,桂花蚌滑溜鮮爽,其餘的荷蘭豆、紅黃椒也很是不錯,爽嫩無渣,另外有一條如炸過的麵包條,吃起來很腍,可能是一起炒過的關係吧,濕氣都攻進了麵包條內,吃起來不脆口了,食味當然一般,但整體來說已叫合格有餘。

吃翅之前來一個發財鴛鴦瑤柱脯,除了一貫酒席菜有的瑤柱瓜脯之外,更有一小塊髮菜卷,髮菜卷的樣子非常有趣,由排得密麻麻的髮菜被蛋皮包着,但吃起來又沒有很實的感覺,也帶點髮菜香,是不錯的,可是個人不太贊成吃髮菜,要不然全世界都變了沙漠時,怎麼辦?至於那瑤柱瓜脯,在圓心的原粒瑤柱沒有吃味,瓜脯又確是可以再軟一點,而扣上的茨汁又不太有味,吃起來真的清淡得過份了。

之後來的原窩肘子燉牌翅,看樣子已經非常對版,店家用上原隻金華火腿的肘子來煮一窩翅湯,常說吃翅啖湯好是很重要的,因為翅根本是冇味的,先喝一口湯,非常之有金腿的鹹香,但似乎店家是掛了一個茨,所以湯身比清湯稠,當然完全不會是漿糊,但以是日此湯的質素,個人認為大可不必加任何粉茨,而翅真的是一排排的,而且每碗也分到至少四排,排排都夠大,雖然每排的翅針不算是很粗,但真的是吃過多次酒席菜中,最得體最好味的一個翅,可是個人又不大贊成吃翅,似乎大家的習慣是時候改改了。

吃過翅後,敬了酒又繼續吃,這味原隻鮑魚扣海遼参,用上了兩款珍貴的食材参及鮑,海遼参夠滑而且都算是入味的了,鮑魚也如是,雖然未至於是溏芯,但以酒席菜的質素來說,這個已經是很足夠的了,可惜的是,店家用上的汁可以說是有點先天不足,味道不夠,個性不強的鮑魚及海遼参的吃味就打了折扣。

之後已經是吃魚了,這條清蒸海星斑,用上的是東星斑,不是一般的青斑,今回本人選了吃魚頭,因為見大家也不大願意吃這個部位,其實鮫位的膠質及附近的肉不知嫩滑到不得了,但由於店員分得不夠豉油的關係,吃起來就有點淡,但又不覺有任何的腥味,這點確是抵讚。

吃過魚後,必定是吃雞的了,且也是一貫的炸子雞,店家將其命名為鴻運脆皮燒雞,燒雞又是放涼了,所以雞皮吃起來沒有卜卜聲,不夠脆身,吃起來有點回潮的濕氣,至於肉質方面,由於是日我被店員分配到的是雞翼,我沒有了權利選我的至愛雞背,但雞翼的肉其實真的很難會嚡,加上味道是剛好的夠鹹,所以這隻「燒雞翼」,我都幾鍾意食。

單尾是及黃金煎伊麵,先吃上湯水餃,上湯是普通的雞湯,喝了一口,是不錯的,至少喝起來有雞味又沒有師傅的味道,而水餃的餃皮夠薄夠滑,實屬難得,在內的蝦及木耳也很爽口,稍嫌的是欠了點豬肉香。

黃金煎伊麵其實即是潮式的糖醋麵,店家用的醋真的是黑醋,所以吃起來挺香,再加點糖吃,味道酸酸甜甜的當然不錯,但麵身就只有面層那超薄一層的脆,有至少四份三的厚度竟可像平時的麵條一樣,可以散出來一條條吃的,感覺有點奇怪。

吃過了多道鹹點後,之後就吃點甜點了,先談這百年蓮子紫米露,在內的百合及蓮子也是勁硬,至於紫米露的紫米味夠多,但椰汁味不夠,可能是成本的關係吧,所以吃起來不夠滑,又沒有椰漿的香味,普通而已。

永結同心其實是一個大概一磅重的蛋糕及一碟紅豆酥,紅豆酥就其實是一貫酒席菜的美點雙輝中的其中一道,其紅豆餡夠滑身,一點豆殼也沒有,味道也夠香,雖然餡不算多,幸而紅豆酥的酥皮都做得鬆化夠甜,而且帶點蛋香,光吃酥皮也不會太差;蛋糕是用上了三層的綠茶蛋糕,中層塗有忌廉及一點乾果,而面層就是忌廉加椰絲,所以吃起來的味道是平凡中見不平凡,綠茶蛋糕綠茶味不足,但糕身鬆綿,忌廉都尚算滑,乾果的味道不太搶,椰絲不太粗不會太嚡口,味道不錯,但又未至於有酒店餅房的級數,果然是美心出品。

雖然美心的酒席菜都是一貫的酒樓環境,但主人家所選的菜單,相信是數一數二的豪,但吃了那麼多翅,真的有點罪過,但無論如何,希望主人家新婚快樂,百年好合,年生貴子。

1) Barbecue pork buns: delicious, but they were placed on a plate rather than in a traditional dim sum bowl because we ordered 5 of them, so I guess the bowl wasn't big enough.

2) Mushroom Cheung Fun: again, it tasted alright. This dish was very light and to me, nothing special.

3) Sugar-Vinegar Noodles: this was supposedly the best dish, but it didn't taste as good as last time. I guess the quality has deteriorated and the flavor isn't as strong as before.

4) Oyster pancake: my friend ordered this, and I'm not a fan of oysters, but he did say it tasted a bit too soggy. Not really my cup of tea.

5) Traditional prawn dumplings: again, it tasted pretty good,but it's expected to taste good from such an expensive restaurant

6) Ma La Rolls: it was the most delicious dish as it was the only dessert. It didn't taste too soggy, but was soft enough.

Anyway, next time I'll try my best to remember to take good pictures. The food here is pretty good, but to me, the sugar-vinegar noodles aren't as good as before and I don't really understand why they gave us such a small table when there were 5 of us. The food here isn't cheap either. It cost us $144 each. The only reason we came here was that it was very convenient for almost all of us.

7) Dessert: 紅棗糕 + 綠豆爽: shared it amongst my friends and both were pretty good! The 紅棗糕 was not too sweet at all!!!!

All in all, it was a very good meal! Prices are bit high, but it's Central + Jardine House (clean and good service).

Service was good though and not too slow at all.

週末喝茶. 以往必須訂位, 現在人不多, 更少年青人, 反而有些外國人. 自裝修後人少了許多, 主要由於大幅加價. 另外令人反感的是夥計不斷推銷菜色, 果汁, 月餅等, 有點騷擾. 明明已點好了菜還在推介菜色, 令人啼笑皆非.例如我喜愛的數個菜, 鹵水鵝肉以前$68, 現在$98. 蠔仔粥以前約$30, 現在$42. 玉蘭炒米以前約$60-70, 現在$98, 可見加幅之巨. 而且同是美心集團的點心貨色, 這裡有大幅溢價, 如蝦餃在別的美心賣$24, 這裡是$40. 難怪門可羅雀, 冷冷清清凄凄慘慘戚戚.這次特別試了"玻璃鵝下巴"($40), 共4件, 每件半個下巴連上顎, 用豆粉炸了, 像天婦羅的樣子, .醮以醬汁. 食之無肉, 棄之無味. 但碎骨多, 一不留神哽下又長又有鋸齒的一塊, 卡在喉嚨良久, 雖得黟計關切, 但也無補於事, 弄得餘下的午飯無心再進. 另外一提, 潮州粥以前沒有芫荽, 現在加了芫荽, 雖是回歸正宗做法, 但我個人討厭它, 覺得一葉芫荽搞壞了一碗粥.

想和客人在中環book 枱吃飯, 選擇不多, 所以選了這裡, 因為貪其比較平~叫了一些點心, 卻發現裝修後價錢加了不少...點心的價格是30-40 元不過貴左唔等如好食左, 試了一些點心發現比較好食的是菜苗餃~鹵水鵝卻有一定的水準~ 果然係一間潮州酒家不過沒有特別事的話也不會再來這裡

不過貴左唔等如好食左, 試了一些點心發現比較好食的是菜苗餃~

Have lunch here on 1 April 2008 with colleagues. Altogether we have 9 persons, arrived at 12:45pm. The place has been redecorated and reopened. The decoration and setting are very different from before. Now it looks like a western restaurant then Chiu Chau restaurant.We have ordered a lot of dim sums, a couple of fried noodles and vegetables, and desserts. It was a man in dark suit who took our orders.Perhaps it was the April fool day, when all our fried noodles, vegetables and even desserts

We have ordered a lot of dim sums, a couple of fried noodles and vegetables, and desserts. It was a man in dark suit who took our orders.

Perhaps it was the April fool day, when all our fried noodles, vegetables and even desserts had arrived, we saw no sign of our dim sums. Besides, same type of dishes of some other tables kept putting on our tables, althgouh we have repeatedly said that we have never ordered those dishes.

Eventually we asked one of the waitors to check our orders. The print out shows that many other dishes, not ordered by us, appeared on our print out. Yet, none of the dim sums turned up.

We witnesses that many dishes mistakely placed on our table were subsequently "taken over" by the next table. Probably, our dim sums have been sent to the next table.

Eventally, at 1:45pm, a waiter said he would take care of our outstanding dim sums. At 2pm, 2 dim sums eventually turned up, with the other 6 disappeared.

At 2:15pm, we could not tolerate any more and checked our bill. The restaurant has given us coupons for complimentary dishes as a sign of apology.

All together, we spent about HK$1,000.

唔好意思, 要同維德潮江春比一比, 在中環核心地帶的潮江春, 格局同上環潮江春, 是天與地. 前者是高級中菜, 後者是街坊酒樓. 同一個Brand Name, 唔同地頭, 兩種格局.點了點心兩籠, 一個炒飯, 一個鹵味拼盤. 經炸過的瑶柱, 加在蛋白炒飯上, 好香口. 鹵味拼盤, 顯得有點不抵食, 每位$55, 叫四人份量, 果真, 只是一人一件. 中午時段, 不怪待認們, 你們忙你的吧. 是否過大海搵食多了, 這些高級中菜, 似乎唔夠人手. 傳菜員仲多過Wiater/waitress. 過了1點半, 情況才好轉.

這一向是我最愛食府之一. 經過數月的裝修, 前幾天才重開, 和家人急不及待一試. 發現環境變得高尚優雅, 變身高級中菜, 以前的夥計都不見了. 現今的夥計更積極推銷菜式, 例如建議我們要潮州粥(但卻沒留意我們已經叫了, 所以我覺得他們不夠細心只懂硬銷).價錢加了約30%-40%, 許多點心要$30-$40, 但食物是依然故我, 有美心集團一貫標準! 先來功夫茶醒胃, 明顯茶的質素不錯, 很香. 三個人要了菜苗餃(內有菠菜和蝦肉, 鮮味), 馬拉卷(即又香又軟的馬拉糕), 糯米卷, 及潮州的玉蘭炒米(肉絲少了一點, 炒得香口但不夠鹹是敗筆, 我真想自己加鹽), 鹵水鵝肉(仍是老樣子, 入味但鵝肉不太靚, 油膩了一點), 方魚肉碎粥(好味, 肉碎夠鮮). 由於分量足, 我們吃得捧著肚子.結論: 懷念以前又扺吃又好吃的日子. 質素有點退步但價錢大躍進. 我想過些時候他們必會發現索價過高將會沒人光顧. 我熱切期待它降價.
