成個撻就如同所見的高度,都係cream加可可粉。痴線,噴d忌廉噴得靚就收人40蚊?


:芝士系列:
~熱情果焗芝士撻 Baked Cheese Tart with Passion Fruit 
芝士饀幾實,但由於撻底係淋既,所以無左個層次感,成件都係實實地淋淋地甜甜地既狀態。
芝士味亦不突出。

~藍莓芝士凍餅 Blueberry Chesse Slice
一件40蚊的蛋糕,只舖上藍莓果醬,無新鮮藍莓,味道亦差。

~焗芝士蛋糕 Baked Cheese Slice
終於食到件正常既,幾滿意,芝士味夠,消化餅底,上面亦有生果,合格....!!



總括而言,甜味大於食材主角,件件40件件都不值40。
好彩今次唔洗錢,唔係真係會超級失望。帝苑餅店的40蚊件我會肯比,人地既質素係值呢個價。

I am always a Cova Girl. It is difficult not to love Cova, their gelato, tarts, cakes and dining dishes are all delicious and addiciting. Yet I have never tried their evening dessert buffet before, as I am those who will die if I don't eat savoury food. I was invited by my friend F for a tasting for the evening dessert buffet, and so I went.The dining area of Cova Caffè is situated in the middle of the mall. Diners might feel inevitably a bit awkward as shoppers would stare when they passed by.

The dining area of Cova Caffè is situated in the middle of the mall. Diners might feel inevitably a bit awkward as shoppers would stare when they passed by. Fortunately the eclectic arrays of buffet stations can draw back your attention and the relaxing live music played by the musicians could make your dinner a joyful one.

The bubbly at Cova Caffè would be champange from Joesph Perrier Cuvee Royale Brut. A champagne made with 35% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier. This bright, pale yellow was quite floral on the nose and mellow with soft effervescence on the palate. The bottle is priced around HKD395/750ml retail in Hong Kong.

I am actually surprised by how many cakes available at the buffet table. For those who didn't know, Cova's cakes are priced quite premium. Signature cakes such as Mascarpone Cheese with Mango, Blueberry Cheesecake, Mixed Fruits on Bakes Cheesecake are all available tonight.!

I started with a plate of canapés with salad. The Salumi toast has an oily coat and tasted extremely savoury, not my kind of salumi. The shrimp toast was not as refreshing as I thought, but carried a strong shrimp flavour. The Olive aioli toast was sour, served on a brown bread.

Not too impressed with the canapes, I moved onto a sandwich tray which was given in the middle of the meal for sharing. The shrimp was sweet and bouncy but seems not enough to fill the sandwich. I prefer the chicken spinach sandwich more which was creamy and flavourful.

The Mango Cream Dome is the best thing on Earth, it is my favourite cake at Cova! It got the softness and buttery flavour from the sponge cake, smoothness from the Chantilly cream and the sweetness from the mango!

The Chestnut Cream was beautifully looking but a bit too sweet for my liking. The chestnut flavour was bold, the creme was smooth, the sponge cake was delightful but the chestnut paste was overly sweet and I did not like the sweetened chestnuts.

The Peanut Feuillentine was something that I have not tried before. the chocolate sponge cake was dense and weighted a bit heavy on the palate. The feuillentine peanut butter cream with Brandy was silky and delightful. In my opinion, the cake would be better if the cream portion increases.

The passion fruit tart is my favourite tart on the stand. The custard was very tarty and creamy. I felt like my palate was cleared from the sweetness from all the cakes and tarts I have taken.

The lunch in Cova is extremely disappointing.

First of all, it is overpriced, a set lunch with soup + sandwich + coffee costs $168 + 10% serive charge!!!

For the food, the quality is not up to standard.

First of all, the cream soup is too thin. For the vegetable soup, it is cooked with tomato paste with artifical taste. The soup simply does not taste good.

For the main course, we ordered lamb chop which is ok, but the set costs $208! Just too expensive.

For the snadwich with steak, it is not hot enough. The steak is ok the salad dressing makes it tastes bad. 

The tea and coffee are just at usual quality.

Something unexpected is its service. One of the waitress made a minor mistake and her collegue scolded her in front all the customers while we are enjoying our lunch. This causes significant disturbance for the customers. And for the one who scoled her collegue, she kept making minor mistakes as well!

Sunday Brunch何其多,要選擇都有一定程度的煩惱,最近曾到訪一間有許多分店,以甜點為主的店舖,那間就是COVA了。相信大部份人都曾聽過它的名字,Dessert Buffet也許吃過,但原來他們亦有供應Sunday Lunch Buffet 。環觀四周,座位不多,可是座位與座位之間都擺放得寬裕,空間感不錯。再去視察一下擺放食物的地方,雖然位置只得中庭的一張大枱及一個小角落,但款式都有不少,主打頭盤及沙律,熱葷方面則較少,可是甜點是他們的強項,所以會多一點。未開始前,先吃點麵包,有侍應會拿個麵包籃到客人面前,最喜歡就是那款芝士條,閒時也會買上一包來作零食,真的很美味。如果另加$150,可無限享用紅白酒及Moscato,而加$220就可無限添飲香檳。吃過麵包後,便到中央餐枱拿點冷盤來吃,雖然款式不多,但卻很精緻。大致上有Shrimp Cocktail、醃鱸魚、鴨肝醬、蕃茄多士、煙鴨胸、冷盤切肉及煙三文魚等等,尤其喜歡當中的Parma Ham,油香豐潤,旁邊還配上清甜的哈蜜瓜,實在好吃。除了冷盤外,還有多款沙律可供選擇,喜歡自行調製也可以,蔬菜都很新鮮,只是自助醬汁基本上沒有,只提供

除了冷盤外,還有多款沙律可供選擇,喜歡自行調製也可以,蔬菜都很新鮮,只是自助醬汁基本上沒有,只提供橄欖油及黑醋。然而多款沙律中,龍蝦沙律必定是最搶手的,每次推出,都會吸引許多客人去拿。幸好我也掏上兩大匙,果然很鮮味,而且龍蝦肉很爽口彈牙,配上芒果的清新,令人一吃再吃。

熱葷方面真的很少,只有燒牛肉、烤羊架、龍蝦千層麵及煮海鮮。羊架聽說不錯,可是由不吃羊的我來說,好似有點信不過,但我深信是不錯的,因色水十分對辦。燒牛肉則是我強烈推介的,以原條來烹製,外焦內嫩,滲出微微的粉紅,而且肉味濃郁,我也忍不了口吃了幾件,非常滿足。

另外的龍蝦千層麵,當揭開蓋時,已聞到香噴噴的龍蝦湯味道,每一口千層麵都有入量不少的龍蝦肉。煮海鮮的材料都有不少,分別是青口、大蝦、龍蝦仔及鱸魚,相當鮮味,而且煮海鮮的湯更是十分鮮味,拿來當湯喝都未嘗不可。

吃到此時,真的很飽很滿足,可是美味的甜點當前,豈可放過,便拿了兩款最喜愛的款式,分別是Mango Cream Dome及Blueberry Cheese Cake。前者一層芒果,一層忌廉,再加一層海綿蛋糕,層層疊疊而成,芒果香甜味美,實在是甜品的首選。這兒的芝士蛋糕相信都不用介紹,芝士味道濃郁已是賣點,只是實在太飽,完成後已走不動了。

24.5.2014早於七年前, 我已吃過Cova的甜品自助餐. 每次放在buffet檯上的甜品, 盡都精緻美味, 令甜胃都得到飽足, 因此在自己的字典裡, 就直覺覺得, 來Cova, 一定吃甜品吧!這天好姊妹就約了我, 來這店吃個Semi lunch buffet, 心想, 難道是甜品自助午餐嗎? 原來, 這店的半自助午餐, 所供應的都是咸食, 更有扒類作為主菜哩. 這半自助午餐, 包餐湯, 自助頭盤和沙律, 美國肉眼扒和餐飲, 定價為$258, 另加$56可自選一件蛋糕, 取價公道. 先品嚐意大利雜菜湯. 縱使湯質比較稀, 但是它味道不咸, 湯裡盡是紅蘿蔔, 薯仔等雜菜的味道, 成份天然, 更有香草的清香味呢. 自助頭盤雖然是任吃, 但質素頗高. 煙三文魚的魚油豐富, 煙燻味也不過重, 我吃了不少哩. 風乾火腿薄身兼柔軟, 咸度適中, 夾住哈蜜瓜來吃就最匹配. 鮮雜果沙律內有蜜瓜, 蘋果, 水蜜桃, 梨等, 以沙律醬伴勻, 加入了提子乾, 增加了口感, 而我就把生菜與鮮雜果沙律同吃, 令生菜在爽口中添加一點甜.在自助頭盤中, 唯一的熱食, 就是忌廉汁煙肉長通粉了. 忌廉汁十分濃稠cr

先品嚐意大利雜菜湯. 縱使湯質比較稀, 但是它味道不咸, 湯裡盡是紅蘿蔔, 薯仔等雜菜的味道, 成份天然, 更有香草的清香味呢.

海鮮沙律內, 魷魚, 中蝦和青口, 均是大大件的, 廚師只略為用了少許橄欖油, 蒜及香草調味, 已經夠吸引, 因本身食材也鮮味十足嘛. 至於烤磨菇, 烤翠肉瓜及黃瓜, 鋪了少許黑椒同烤至微燶, 讓其更惹味.

主菜為烤美國肉眼扒伴忌廉馬鈴薯, 時令露筍配燒汁. 廚師會在現場, 即時為客人切肉眼扒出來的. 厚切的美國肉眼扒, 紋理細緻分明. 吃著肉質嫩滑, 內裡的少許肥羔亦油潤豐腴. 因著肉眼扒本身的肉汁和油脂, 就算不加燒汁, 也必定甚為美味哩. 另外, 伴碟的忌廉馬鈴薯甚為香滑, 質地輕盈, 也不能錯過.

吃罷主菜, 又到甜品出場的時候. 呍呢拿泡芙甚為大隻, 皆因每粒泡芙也要夾住一顆呍呢拿雪糕球, 別忘記在吃之前, 先淋上朱古力漿哩. 軟腍的泡芙皮, 帶點煙韌, 夾住雪糕來吃, 也很match. 當中的雪糕為意大利雪糕, 因此入口便覺透心涼, 軟滑又綿密.

開心果蛋糕的外表, 鋪滿了綠色的開心果碎, 蛋糕成份, 就以兩層開心果海綿蛋糕夾住開心果mousse. 它的質感軟熟, 開心果的味道, 可以用「強烈」來形容. 不過, 我更欣賞它的低甜度, 以及保留了開心果自身的甘香味. 很讚哦!!

一直以來, 大家都讚好Cova的芒果拿破崙. 的確, 它做得層次分明, 酥皮鬆化, 吉士亦不會過份甜膩, 最重要, 當然是夾在其中的芒果清甜無比喇. 伴在一旁的香蕉味雪糕, 所擁有的香蕉味並不過烈, 塗一些在酥皮上, 吃著, 就減輕酥皮的膩滯感了.

栗子蛋糕, 除了面層有一顆栗子之外, 在鬆軟的海綿蛋糕中, 是有兩層滑滑的栗子蓉的. 可是, 由於蛋糕外層的白色cream太厚了, 不禁令人要放棄這些cream, 好像有點浪費了.

COVA這個名字對於很多人來說都不陌生, 第一件事想到的就是他們的蛋糕. 不過對於宅女來說COVA這間店除了有美味的蛋糕甜點之外, 更有著不少童年及少年的回憶. 想當年還在求學階段時每逢家人生辰, 老爸總會買個COVA的蛋糕來慶祝; 到了剛出社會做事, 最記得有了自己的第一份薪水時, 就馬上去COVA買了一包非常昂貴的餅乾慶祝. 回想起雖然有點傻, 不過當時還是少年嘛, 就覺得自己巧威威了. 而近年COVA除了蛋糕之外, 也推出過不少自助餐, 例如TEA BUFFET或DESSERT BUFFET, 聽說風評不錯. 不過這次宅女再來吃的不是BUFFET, 反而來試試他們的幾款單點輕食.這次來的是位於尖沙咀海港城的分店, 餐廳位於商場的電梯旁, 座位屬較開揚那種, 不過坐起來還是挺舒適的. 來的時候正值供應下午茶自助餐, 場內座無虛席, 看來都頗受歡迎的. 看看單點的餐牌, 食物都以比較輕盈為主, 除了有幾款芝士沙律, 也有些三文治跟薄餅等, 價格大約百多元一份, 而甜點方面就有較多選擇, 這裡的TIRAMISU不能缺之外, 也有些雪芭及GELATO選擇, 再不合心水的話就可以索性走到餐

點了個凍朱古力看似普通, 不過原來這裡的朱古力粉全部都是由意大利入口, 調出來的朱古力味道的確是比較濃郁的, 奶脂味也不會過多, 甜度恰到好處.

吃和牛宅女大多喜歡一整塊大口大口吃著才滿足, 不過這次把和牛切成小粒加在沙律內, 入口肉質依然軟棉有嚼勁, 肥脂少一點, 配著水牛芝士吃又不會過份油膩, 加上少許的油醋汁配著沙律菜吃起來頗清新, 正好來做到個平衡.

吃沙律從來有兩種配料總是不能抗拒的, 就是大蝦跟牛油果. 這個凱撒沙律內竟然兩款都有齊! 大蝦件頭果真幾大隻 絕不是坊間那些說是大蝦但實際只有蝦仁那麼小的貨色, 肉質肥厚爽口, 墊著的牛油果份量也真多, 而且都是大大片配著生菜片吃油潤感十足, 不錯.

現在公司三文治是周圍都吃得到的輕食, 但想當年老爸還是年青力壯的年代公司三文治可是在酒店或會員俱樂部才能吃得到的高級美食呢!! 這裡出品的賣相平實但絕對足料, 長長的一條三文治居然有達八層之多! 內裡夾著不少蕃茄, 雞蛋, 雞肉, 燒牛肉, 意大利火腿, 水牛芝士和生菜等配料, 麵包可以選白麵包或健康一點的麥包, 出來烘得香脆, 入口有著清爽的同時亦帶著濃郁的肉味, 點一份幾個人分也不過份.
另外附上的炸薯條, 沒有像平常那樣放在三文治旁伴碟, 反而用了個MARTINI酒杯盛著, 造型頓時變得高貴起來! 本以為只有外在美, 但原來拿上手還是熱烘烘的, 咬開來外皮仍然十分香脆! 而且粗身的薯條吃起來更有份量感, 雖然份量不多, 但吃上兩三條巳夠滿足了.

想吃些飽肚一點的其實這裡都有選擇的, 像幾款薄餅跟蛋批也不錯. 其中這個用上意大利風乾火腿, 鋪上點點火箭菜和櫻桃茄, 餅底厚薄適中, 入口仍然連著絲絲芝士, 質感鬆軟得來咸香十足, 但又不會過咸過膩, 用來作下午茶兩, 三個人來分最適合.
這裡的周末周日和紅假期都會有下午茶自助餐, 不過每逢星期一至五就有供應下午茶SET, 時間由下午3:00 - 5:30PM, 價格更便宜, 每位HK$188包一杯飲料.

上來的兩層架是兩人份的啊~頂層的就是餐廳一向很受歡迎的幾款迷你水果撻了. 有士多啤梨, 奇異果, 藍莓, 紅莓等等, 更有迷你版的芒果撻呢~ 每人都有四件, 一口一件剛剛好呢!

而咸食方面就幾款不同配搭的迷你三文治, 用上的食材配搭看似簡單, 但其實都是用上意大利肉腸, 大蝦, 火腿肉加上青瓜, 火箭菜和蕃茄製成. 麵包入口都幾鬆軟, 最喜歡還是沙律醬不太多, 吃起來不會好滯, 小小的一口一件 (宅女的咀比較大), 每人都可以吃到買件, 下午茶來說這個份量也很足夠了.

先來的是餐廳招牌蛋糕MANGO CREAM DOME, 只見忌廉跟海棉蛋糕層層交錯著, 而每層都夾了不少芒果肉, 入口蛋糕很輕又夠軟熟不會乾, 芒果肉亦夠甜, 忌廉輕身得來甜度不太高, 所有食材都能配搭得恰到好處, 難怪也是店內最受歡迎的一款蛋糕了.

沒有芒果那款那麼複雜, 簡單的以海棉蛋糕夾著一層厚厚的開心果醬, 頂端再豪邁地洒滿開心果仁就夠睇頭了. 蛋糕偏濕一點, 不過配上清香的開心果醬又幾對味, 而且忌廉相對份量不多, 加上開心果仁頗有咬口, 是個口感比較豐富的一款蛋糕.

宅女本身比較喜愛朱古力味, 所以自不然便對這件朱古力蛋糕有所期待. 蛋糕中間層次分明, 每層朱古力海棉蛋糕中間都塗上一層朱古力醬, 吃起來朱古力味道非常濃郁, 但感覺海棉蛋糕比起剛才那幾款質感有點粗糙. 不過吃到頂端那片厚厚的軟朱古力就加回不少分數, 入口滑溜又夠濃味, 絕對能滿足朱古力愛好者呢~

感謝店方跟公關之邀令宅女的下午茶吃得那麼豐盛.
其實COVA的食物質素不用懷疑, 宅女從小吃到大基本上都沒怎麼伏過. 這次吃完單點食物跟下午茶SET後更加覺得水準依舊.
不過宅女最喜愛的, 其實是COVA出品的一款薄脆餅乾, 雖然近百元一包, 但入口真的非常香脆, 當然吃得出牛油下了不少, 但那份酥香是至今很難在其他餅乾可以找到的, 有興趣的, 錢包又充裕的情況下, 不妨買來一試吧!

Cova這名字相信很多人都會知道, 仿佛是代表下午茶跟甜品蛋糕. 幾年前第一次試他們的tea buffet, 覺得很不錯. 這次有機會再來吃他們的下午茶, 覺得他們的食物質素進步了, 給了我一個很好的印象. 這次去的是海洋中心那一家還沒開始之前先點飲料, 朋友說Cova的巧克力粉都是從意大利進口的, 巧克力味道真的跟一般的巧克力飲料不一樣, 更香滑更濃郁. 本身點了latte的我之後也要點他們的巧克力afternoon tea set ($188)下午茶除了tea buffet, 還有很多選擇. 胃口小的可點他們的afternoon tea set, 這價錢已包兩杯飲料, 可一次過吃鹹點還有水果撻, 一口一件, 最適合邊吃邊聊天Bach Salad另外也點了他們的all day menu. 太喜歡這個Bach Salad, 因為有我愛吃的牛油果, 還有蝦子跟沙拉菜, 醬汁沒有下太多, 愛牛油果的一定會喜歡吃這個Beethoven Salad另外一份沙拉, 有牛肉跟芝士, 味道應該會讓愛吃重口味的朋友喜歡. 發覺他們的醬汁並不會下太多呢, 比較清爽club sandwiches朋友也推薦

眾多款蛋糕我最喜歡是tiramisu, 賣相也很漂亮, 有乾冰的煙霧效果. 入口非常綿滑. Mascapone的味道比外面吃到的還要濃一些. 我喜歡酒香不重的, 這裡的酒沒有加很多, 很對我的胃口

這裡也有Scones. 蠻好吃的夠濕潤, 牛油香也重. 最喜歡就是clotted cream跟果醬厚厚的塗上去scone. 比較愛吃有葡萄乾的那一款

看到其他朋友吃的dinner buffet也好像很吸引. 有空要再去吃好了

是日的餐湯為龍蝦湯,太開心了;未上桌已嗅到龍蝦的香氣,味道非常的強勁! 這款湯雖然充滿著濃烈的龍蝦味,但湯頭不是厚身的那款,反而是比較稀的那種,個人比較喜歡creamy的版本,不過這版本感覺上沒那樣的肥膩。

這份roasted beef是不是很美呢?
說實話,很多地方的的roasted beef都做得不太好吃,所以對這個是沒甚麼期望的。每次沒期望之下,總有意外的驚喜;燒牛牛味濃郁,肉質亦很軟,軟中帶輕輕的嚼勁,比想像中好得多;而邊位則很香,牛味更濃郁;有些位還帶有油脂,帶著少少脂香,做得真的十分不錯。

一向都很喜歡熱情果的甜點,味道上十分清新。而這熱情果芝士撻,芝士味頗強勁的,口感亦很細膩;熱情果味本來都是有的,但由於芝士味太強,難免會蓋過了那熱情果的清新。

Napoleone Al Mango & Gelato Alla Banna
這則是我的甜點,這個拿破崙非常酥皮感非常強勁,感受到當中加入了大量的牛油,充滿了強烈的牛油味;而芒果亦十分新鮮清甜,頗喜歡當中的芒果的。不過這個拿破崙對我來說則太酥了。更值得一提的是那banana Gelato,香蕉味非常濃郁,質感亦細滑,當中還帶點香蕉肉的口感,非常不錯。

友人極推薦的開心果蛋糕,面層佈滿果仁,香氣討好;
內層的開心果醬與外層香濃,緊抱在一起,
吃來卻輕怡不膩!

栗子蛋糕里,
內有大量軟糯的栗子蓉及栗子粒,
唯小妹對忌廉不太偏好,

我們還追加了雲尼拿泡芙及芒果拿破崙,
酥皮頗薄的拿破崙質感不夠強烈,
幸芒果清甜,配上清新的芒果雪糕,盛夏吃著,感覺很爽!

皮薄的泡芙,則緊密包著香氣濃濃的雲尼拿雪糕,
吃前,把朱古力漿淋於甜品上,
一剛一柔的配搭跟舌頭一拍即合!

最後以濃郁的莫卡,
為這個悠閒時光劃上完美句號!
