Pic 1️⃣: Dessert - Tomato & Mozzarella Cake with Macarons
— Sooo adorable! Had to try this out because of how cute this looked and its unique flavour combination. The mousse cake had a slight hint of tomato to it, giving it a unique aroma. This went really well with the light mozzarella flavour and honestly this worked really well.
Pic 2️⃣: Starters to Share: selection of Italian cold cuts served with olive & dry tomatoes
— Good selection of cold cuts to start, perfect with bread.
Pic 3️⃣: Starters to Share: “Caprese salad” Buffalo mozzarella & tomatoes, “Cuoppo” of calamari & mayo spicy limoncello, “Fornarina” crispy bread with herbs & tomato, Foccacia
— My favourite amongst the selection was the Caprese salad, the buffalo mozzarella was creamy and light. The Fornarina was also delicious, and resembled margherita pizza bites. Slightly disappointed with the calamari though, they were nicely deep fried but lacked seasoning and the calamari itself tasted of nothing.
Pic 4️⃣: Pappardelle with brisket ragout, red wine & parmesan
— Pasta was amazing. Perfectly al-dente, and the brisket ragout was so flavourful and rich. Served with a generous shaving of parmesan which elevated the flavours even further.
Pic 5️⃣: Truffle & Mushroom Risotto
— Loved that this wasn’t overly creamy and dense, as the rest of the meal was already quite flavourful. Nice mellow flavours which allowed the mushroom taste to shine on its own.
Pic 6️⃣: Roasted Salmon with lemon & beetroot
— The salmon was simply cooked to perfection, buttery and melt-in-your-mouth kind of good. Personally thought this could’ve done with a bit more seasoning but the sauce and flavours from the beetroot salad helped with that. The acidity in the salad also helped balance out the oiliness from the fish.
Pic 7️⃣: Premium half French Chicken in “diavola” style
— Well roasted, chicken was tender and well marinated.
Pic 8️⃣: Dessert - Strawberry cake
— Another adorable dessert. A bit underwhelming in comparison to the other cake, as this had a really grainy texture that was hard to get past. The flavours were well put together but needs some improvement on the texture.
