九龍城如此多的泰國菜餐廳, 要在如此多對手中突圍而出並不容易, 要在菜式的烹調中突出自己的水準或風格, 才有被食客賞識的可能. 泰金國是一間沒有特別外表的餐廳, 就像一般家庭食肆一樣, 但其菜式的水平真的很好, 特別是烤物是會令人印象深刻的水平. 烤牛肉和烤雞翼是這裏的名物, 前者令我想起Soi29, 同樣是外皮焦香, 內裏嫩滑, 肉香和油香的平衡度好, 再加上自家製的泰式酸辣汁, 更能令牛肉香活潑起來. 後者外皮同樣香脆而且帶有小時候燒烤的蜜糖甜味, 雞肉熟透但不乾, 特別是轉彎位這些比較容易出事的地方也處理得很好. 生蝦刺身除了生蝦本身爽彈而沒有雪藏味, 將蝦頭炸過令蝦羔味道更突出, 而且整個蝦頭也香脆得可以咬下去當小食. 醉貓炒河同樣能夠媲美Soi29, 河粉入味而且保持原條狀, 沒有炒得細碎或糊化, 有鑊氣之餘也有辣勁, 火候出色, 難怪長期在門外也有等候的人龍.

how come there is a long line outside every time i came here for dinner and people are so willing to wait to be seated and i think you know why. the entire street is empty and quiet and no other thai place is as popular as this one. food portion is satisfactory and they taste very good, although sometimes is is a bit salty for me. if you come over for lunch on weekdays the cp value is much higher with the set lunch!! would love to explore more thai restaurants in kowloon city but this is definit

缺點係有時候會煮得太熟
所以特別會同佢講五成熟 如果太熟就真係會咬唔開
份量OK 有時食唔晒打包 做宵夜都好正

串燒真係麻麻哋,因為燒得太燶啦
隻雞翼有一半都係黑蚊蚊
但係冇計太少燒烤就係咁
最正係個沙嗲汁

蝦膏炒飯 份量超大 但係味道唔算好出色
