同事提議來這裡食Lunch, 星期五中午沒有訂位,只須等約5分鐘!店子很小,地方頗窄!看餐牌,招牌菜有「牛犇」,問侍應,她說讀「賓」不辣而且啖啖肉!同事點了這個,她說味道不錯!我點了韮菜較湯幼麵,加$15配雞絲粉皮!韮菜十分足料濃味,十分好!湯略嫌淡而無味(不知是否因我病致無味)麵太多比較軟身,一般,也吃剩了!雞絲粉皮醬多足料,很好!最怕有些店很吝嗇只給丁點兒醬!

The tomato and egg noodles were rather disappointing because the noodles were too soft and tasteless and the tomatoes did not have any taste at all.
They were not even sweet or sour and all you could taste was the fried egg with a panfried taste.

When you order them, the waitress goes out to buy the apples, so if you prefer green or red apples you can tell them when you order before they go out to buy them.
I felt sorry for the waitresses who were just doing their jobs chasing up the desserts because they got shouted at by the chefs.
The whole restaurant was waiting for dessert, so the Chefs did the apples and bananas together.

Although it was not solely done by the chef, the apples were really nice because they were piping hot and tart complemented by the caramelized sweet batter coating.
I was quite lucky and found a piece of banana in it too so I got the best of both worlds.
Most of the diners who were waiting quite a while for the desserts were given soy milk because it took so long.

I was surprised they had apple fritters so I went in imediately to try them because I had an hour to kill before the tasting.

I have always wanted to try this famous eatery for dumplings but this place is in the middle of nowhere and the logo of this shop put me off!

It was too stylish for traditional Beijing food, but inside it was normal.

Sat down, and the waitress was surprisingly nice and asked if I wanted to sit at another table because the air conditioning was cold at that table.

So I changed tables and ordered the apple fritters.

After ordering, she gave orders to the other staff to buy red apples because they do not stock the fruit.

Before she left, I had it changed to green apples because I prefer sour apples.
If you prefer sweet apples, go for the red.

They also do banana fritters as well as sweet potato fritters.

There were mainly two groups of people dining there: Westerners and Mainlainders with a heavy Northern accent.

The apple fritters were gorgeous, they taste the same as the ones in the UK.
Crispy candied coating with piping hot apple inside.
I loved the perfect balance of the hot mushy tart apple against the sweet crisp coating.
If there was cream or ice-cream, that would be heaven!!

5. 擔擔麵
﹕分量好大,用清湯上,再加點鹹的碎肉。相比下,好失望。

其實一邊食一邊有人入,而且仲有唔少人外賣自取。我諗下次遲少少去食都要訂位lu~

可能係家庭式作業的店子,廚房未必有足夠人手,令到上菜時間慢。如果好肚餓的客人入內進食可能會脾氣暴躁左(當晚已有一例)。但好味道的食物絕對值得等了又等,食完再食架!

知道星期五吃飯不訂位一定沒得吃,所以下午就訂了位。老公先到,我遲了15分鐘,遠遠就看到已經有不少人在等位置。兩個人叫了,3個涼菜,4個熱菜。拍黃瓜:蒜香味重,味道淡淡的。千層豬耳:不太麻辣,切得薄,咬口差一點。涼拌木耳:拌了芥末,味道有點嗆,木耳爽口,好吃。肉三鮮餃子:一口餃子,皮有嚼勁,有蝦,豬肉,餡不多也不太鹹,配著醋和豆瓣醬,正好。芹菜餃子:芹菜味不夠濃,不夠香。紅燒豬手:很入味,肉軟綿,但就是太油了。偶爾為之ok。炒雜菇:同一問題,油,顏色夠,卻不太鹹。如果可以清一點就好了。賣單$305,7個菜,划算!

是次點了1碗擔擔面,1客白菜餃和1客排骨面

擔擔面:味道和份量可以接受, 辣度適中, 面質韌度不錯.

餃子: 皮厚, 是接近東北餃子, 個人認為饀的份量可以多少少

排骨面: 粗面面質有點淋, 可能泡久了, 味道較清淡

整體來說,我認為味道不錯,下次想試試小菜,拔絲,京蔥羊肉餃,因為見到旁邊幾枱的味道好似不錯,友人認為較淡

另外, 有水瓶提供,自己倒,比較貼心, 不用常常叫待應加水.

  我也留意到很多食客是一個人來,叫些涼菜,下啤酒。也有女顧客一個人來吃一碗湯麵或一碟小炒,因為份量小巧,一個人都能吃完,價錢又相宜,真的不錯。

同公司食飯,而且是日一起食飯的,都是北方人的同事,五人行中只有兩個土生土長的香港居民。吃餃子,是北方人民的專利食品,在我們南方,來來去去都是幾款餃子,而且,南方的餃不是主食,只是我們間唔中一餐,當其中一味餸菜或是沒錢開飯時吃麵的幾粒幾隻。但北方的強悍民族,就是以餃子來做主食的。我沒提供任何意見,我們就任由三名北方人點菜。有前菜,有餃子有麵。後來才知是東北人的老闆用上純正的普通話落單,有點點令三位北方人女士 suprised。豬耳,這樣的千層豬耳,把豬耳的皮煮到起膠,層層疊疊在一起,香濃的鹵水味,膠腍的耳皮肉,爽脆的耳軟骨。味道很好,若麻辣感再重一點,更佳。 雞絲粉皮,這次的粉皮太諗不夠爽,而雞肉就沒有什麼味道。花生醬夠香但不足,這亦是我們唯一食剩了的東東。 我同我阿頭都要了一個酸辣湯。味道濃郁得非常,而且夠辛口是很好的。材料十足也是可取之處。可是酸度未夠,我們要加點醋後才行。加了醋後,這絕對是一個無得彈既酸辣湯。 餃子來之前,我們來了一個麵食大家分。

餃子來之前,我們來了一個麵食大家分。上海粗炒,配上了上海排骨。味道比起港式上海食店的來得淡,排骨外表夠乾身,但肉味是十分之香口。大概的是吃慣了濃味吧,北方人的同事說好,尤其是兩名上海人,而我這一位香港的吃貨就覺得一般。

全場最精彩的食物來到了,三色素餃,三色肉餃。我們一次過可以食到六種不同味道的餃子。

三色素餃,就是三種不同味道的素菜餃子,白菜、椰菜同韭菜。純菜的餃子,除韭菜外,味道都非常之清。皮薄而煙韌,蔬菜的汁同新鮮的蔬菜,是一雒獨得的淡香,加點醋加點豆辦辣,更是可口。

幸好羊肉餃子最後才來,不然我們就食不出這一餃比一餃鮮味既層次感。羊肉,也是北方人的最愛。羊肉的羶香更令愛羊者陷入瘋狂。而我就是其中一名愛羊者。肉汁的羶香,不點醋汁更佳。咸咸的肉,香味十足的汁,鮮味死了。我也許能食得上兩份20隻。

北方長大的同事愛死這餃子了。阿頭看見了這兒有售賣生餃子,她也立即把地址記下,想吃餃子時,她知道地頭了。這般美味的餃子,香港少有,而且此店亦吸引了不少老外來光顧。外國人,也吃得津津有味。
