We went for the 3-course menu at $548 + 10% per person and chose one course at the antipasti bar, a main course chosen from 5 options plus a dessert. Coffee/tea is included. It’s a nice and generous selection of the antipasti buffet. The staff had courteously asked if he should present us with our mains when we had our 2nd round of the antipasti buffet.The main courses were nice and also with sizable portion. I was expecting something smaller. The black truffle and prawn maccheroncini had used sustainable ingredients and I loved the flavour brought about by the wild mushroom ragout mixed with black truffle. The grilled smoked eel kabayaki also had great flavours. Both desserts were nice while I preferred the refreshing taste of the passion fruit cheesecake and same-flavoured sorbet. The Earl Grey chocolate cream was in the shape of a little pillow, just like an air pod case, which had mandarin jelly inside and also sorbet on the side. It’s a delightful experience looking at green partitions outside the floor to ceiling windows. It really gave you the feeling of lunching in a garden (an air-con’d one). continue reading

在二星期内,再次來到花園道美利酒店,應朋友之邀,來到酒店裡面其中的一間餐廳 - Garden Lounge,應邀一同吃一頓自助餐,來慶祝她的生日。我曾向友人說過,慶生或聚舊,吃自助餐是一個百搭首選,坐得耐、食物種類多、人數沒上限,也可避過了在各人有不同口味時,對著餐牌當有選擇困難症時的尷尬場合。今晚在這餐廳吃的是海鮮半自助晚餐加一個 free flow 任飲的餐酒,在環境極優的美利酒店餐廳裡,由六時半暢飲暢食到十時,是人生的一大快活事。不要被半自助餐以為食物會供應得一半而卻步,我覺得今晚這餐廳的食物種類非常的充足和豐富,還要留一半的胃空間,去迎接自助餐有自選 main course 的誘惑。任取任食的時令冰鎮海鮮種類很多,生蠔、蟹腳、海蝦、琵琶蝦、小龍蝦、海螺大蜆應有盡有,要讚的還有那捻身非常的鮑魚。琵琶蝦我比較少吃,發覺肉質可與龍蝦比美,雖然今晚龍蝦沒登場,以琵琶蝦替上,味道也不遑多讓。熱盤陣容雖然不算盛大,因我喜歡冰鎮海鮮多些,因此我覺得已很足夠,有咖哩海鮮、炒大蝦、瑤柱時蔬和海鮮炒飯等,更有焗威靈頓三文魚卷和燒味任君選擇。自選主菜有黑安格斯西冷配法邊豆和松露薯蓉、薑蔥豆豉蒸鱸魚、四川炒蝦和帶子或菠菜意大利雲吞。我選了的黑安格斯西冷五成熟肉質鮮嫩,合乎西餐廳的高質素。今餐吃了甚多冰鎮海鮮,但糕點甜品也有很多不同口味款式的蛋糕,但我已沒胃空間去食了,只吃了葡撻一件和少許的義式手工雪糕,已足矣。 continue reading

The Murray入面Garden Lounge半自助晚餐。好想搵個機會試好耐。網上見到餐廳10月中至11月尾,自助晚餐會有更新主題< 大閘蟹海鮮半自助晚餐 > ,網上訂咗位去試。行入餐廳感覺到環境氛圍算唔錯,柔和燈光,配輕音樂襯托下,令人有可以放鬆的狀態。至於食物方面,自助區供應食物選擇相對少,只提供幾種凍海鮮/沙律/cold cut /燒牛肋排骨或羊架/蛋糕及雪糕之類。熱盤會以主菜形式由侍應送上客人枱上,Menu 上列有多款主菜任選一項,說實話。我覺得當晚侍應送上枱上的熱盤及主菜,水準不錯,比自助區食物水準好。餐廳給每位客人送上大閘蟹一隻。 蟹本身較細隻,蟹膏份量較少。澳洲Coffin Bay 生蠔。 當晚我最棒場嘅食物之一, 蠔肉仍keep到爽口鮮甜, 帶點淡淡海水鹹味。 其他凍海鮮《蟹腳,麵包蟹,蜆,小龍蝦》 , 一般水準 。 鮑魚應該用類似磯煮飽魚方式烹調。 唔講鮑魚本身質素,但鮑魚煮得唔夠入味, 不過能夠在酒店自助餐食到磯煮鮑魚 (唔太多酒店自助餐供應) , 值得欣賞。侍應送上三道熱盤菜式 《海鮮濃湯貝殼意粉》 《普羅旺斯辣椒醬烤大蝦》 《四川鑊炒尖椒雞》 三道菜式最欣賞貝殼意粉,整得幾好食。主菜選擇咗 《菠菜意大利雲吞》 , 不清楚菠菜雲吞是否酒店自家製, 幾好食,而且醬汁都烹得好。 成份全部食晒。 甜品蛋糕種類選擇唔多, 水準一般,當用餐後甜品, 試過就算。呢餐半自助晚餐,我是在網上某旅遊平台訂購 ($700 左右)。大致上如果以食物款式,水準來講, 呢個價錢絕對進取。 但如果加上餐廳地點,環境等作考慮,還是可以一試。 continue reading

人未齊,問都唔問就上餐湯。湯係凍凍哋室溫嘅! 非常驚訝!Middle courses 意粉,大蝦,尖椒雞,似煮完好耐,都係室溫嘅!咁嘅酒店食物管理質素係好差!前菜,燒烤,主菜,甜品味道屬於正常,唔會特別覺得好食,唔會特別留下印象。大閘蟹預咗係好細隻,所以問題唔大。感覺人手唔係好夠,收碟嘅速度係好慢,好多次都係要舉手叫人嚟收碟。我仲要係請朋友嚟食,簡直係超尷尬!整體嚟講呢個價錢真係有好多其他選擇,係真係失望! continue reading

9月朋友嚐過上一個主題的下午茶,環境食物俱佳,所以10月轉了主題就自己找個下午再訪,還在OpenRice訂座有65折🥳鹹點方面,煙燻三文魚伴椰子果凍、鵝肝馬卡龍均有驚喜!椰子果凍、馬卡龍的杏仁餅甜甜的,分別配上較鹹的厚切煙三文魚、鵝肝非常特別而且好夾!此外,鵝肝馬卡龍內有有一層酸味的醬,同甜甜的杏仁餅都可解了鵝肝的濃味,變得開胃不會漏😋 不過芝士火腿三文治就比較遜色,厚厚的芝士層共用了兩種芝士,一種是片裝芝士,味道也如普通片裝卡夫芝士,另一種是creamy軟芝士,兩者加埋非常漏,火腿也用上普通的薄片火腿~今個主題的兩款鬆餅,雲尼拿及開心果均有驚喜!兩者都分別既有雲尼拿及開心果味(雲尼拿味比開心果味更出!),也有牛油香!口感不會太乾太碎,濕潤度剛好😋甜點方面,size比一般其他同類型的下午茶甜點都細少少,不過又幾啱胃口不大的女生🤭全部味道平均而且高質!個人特別鍾愛層次多的cake,而不盡是泡芙、拿破崙、馬卡龍、奶凍果凍類甜品,所以今個主題的全部都好切合個人口味,而且配搭有清新、有濃味,整體不會甜膩!還有兩款撻的撻皮也仍保持香脆口感😋不過飲品就見微知著,點了decaf latte,咖啡杯用了傳統的大口薄瓷,容量不多而且容易凍,有別一些高級酒店如四季會貼心地用雙層玻璃杯保溫~ continue reading
