I wanted to try this placesince I was craving taro balls lol. I was planning on eating somewhere else for lunch and coming here for dessert but when I went on OpenRice, I saw that they also have meals so might as well try it. The menu was all in Chinese though, but there were pictures on the back and so I used that to figure out what I wanted haha. There were not many options for actual meals though, but there were a lot of snacks, desserts, and drinks to choose from. The Taiwanese pork cutlet r
The Taiwanese pork cutlet rice was smaller than I expected 😮 The rice tasted like the Taiwanese minced meat 😍 I loved it! The pork cutlet was not bad either. The outside was crispy, but not that oily and the inside was juicy and soft. The pickles were too sour for my liking, so I mixed it with the rice 😅 The egg tasted like any other tea egg haha.
For dessert, I was debating if I should get the one with shaved ice or not, and I eventually opted for the shaved ice cuz it was only $3 more than the other Taiwanese taro bowl dessert. Only regret was finishing up this bowl when I was already full 😂 It was so good that I had to eat everything 😅 It was milk shaved ice with a lot of different toppings such as boba, taro balls, mochi balls, sweet potato balls, red bean, sago, and sweet potato paste. The taro, mochi, and sweet potato balls were my favorite! I love the chewy texture and it wasn’t bland at all. I expected the shaved ice to be softer and fluffier, but at least it tasted delicious! What’s even better was that it was so cheap: only $28! Would totally come back for more Taiwanese desserts 😍
