突然間想起,曾經在明寶石餐廳吃過早餐,於是趁今天來到灣仔,就再次走來吃一個午餐吧,反正是一個較便宜呢!餐牌裡也不少選擇,在每張餐牌仔細研究,在最後還是選了有三樣東西吃的午餐,因為同一價格,只吃兩樣的,似乎都幾抵食的。羅宋湯是慣常點來的湯頭,有著酸甜的味覺,也為胃納打開,蔬菜的軟腍,是不錯的嘛。配上港式麵包,是很地道的配搭,而且麵包沒有烘過,因此很軟腍吧。南瓜汁燴西蘭花龍脷卷意粉。橙色的南瓜汁,覆蓋著西蘭花,龍脷卷及意粉,除了西蘭花外。;女有小棠菜在內。南瓜汁清甜,西蘭花又爽脆,加上龍脷的軟腍,是不錯的配搭,龍脷卷本身都幾滑的,不用咀嚼,而且卷著露筍,使魚柳更具口咬感覺。意粉都幾爽口的,沾上南瓜汁,更添食味。凍咖啡是今餐的餐飲,也許每次到西餐廳都會點來一杯。香濃的咖啡,讓在下有種滿足感吧。雖然只是簡簡單單的一餐,但是已經很漢吧。

羅宋湯是慣常點來的湯頭,有著酸甜的味覺,也為胃納打開,蔬菜的軟腍,是不錯的嘛。配上港式麵包,是很地道的配搭,而且麵包沒有烘過,因此很軟腍吧。

我的晚飯,當然是牛扒一大片,配薯菜。而且識食,一定鐵板上。要幾成熟,鐵板上就不用多問吧。不過,若是問到,4成就是最好。

是日,店方有問過我要幾成熟,我就要了4成....而我就覺得意義不太大,因為鐵板的熱係會令牛扒繼續熟下去。而且,傳統的港式扒,是幾熟都會好腍的,所以點熟都沒有問題。是日的是西冷,肉雖然 "拿" 到淋,但能夠保持到香口的牛肉味是令人開心的,而且,汁是重要的環節,店方雖錯給我黑椒汁,但味道不算太辣,入口很香濃,把本身比較平凡的牛肉味,帶高了一個層次。

很香港 Style,很本地的味道,豉油西餐,像日本的日式西餐,是自成一門獨特料理方法的,做得好,處理得好,一樣是非常美味,惹味。而這一種合大眾香港人口胃的西餐,絕對不會過時,是大人細路都會喜歡的味道,雖然,這一種弄西餐的方式不能衝出香港,但作為我們香港人獨有的特式料理,是要好好保存的。

Though the name of this restaurant resembles that of a more famous one situated in Prince Edward, one can tell the difference easily as the food served here is of ordinary standard.  The lunch sets are not costly but you cannot expect a high quality.  Afterall the outlook and taste are more like those served in Hong Kong style restaurant but presented in a more decent manner.Both the soup and sweet bun are OK, the bun tastes better and more spongy than the butter toast served in typical HK style

The main course is less satisfying because the fish roll with asparagus is too plain and the fishy smell stays strong without a good sauce on top of it.  The texture is acceptable but I guess the smell and flavour can be enhanced if it has been pan fried slightly.  It's good to have plenty of vegetables but still there isn't any sauce served with it, making the whole dish dull and tasteless.  The Frankfurt sausauge is the only food that has got stronger flavour.

The jelly dessert is a little surprise for me since it had been my child time favourite whenever my family brought me to a local steakhouse.  Though not particularly yummy, the orange colour and the condensed milk are remarkable to me.

友人晚上想食西餐, 於是搜尋一下灣仔, 見呢間人稱街坊價食扒的地方, 就來這裡吃一下.叫了鴨胸龍脷天使麵同牛扒配雞扒.首先講餐湯, 呢度有五款餐湯揀, 都好多選擇, 我選了平時無咩飲既周打魚湯. 不過不失, 但個包好鬆軟, 一MIT手感同口感都好好.然後就係天使麵. 鴨胸咸左小小, 但份量足夠. 龍脷比較好味, 而整體汁係多左D, 所以有小小水的感覺, 但天使麵都煮得OK.而牛扒配雞扒, 牛扒好好, 我要七成熟, 肉好腍, 一切都已經切到, 無筋, 全塊肉, 味道很好.仲有甜品食, 吃了布甸加鍊奶. 布甸硬度適中, 可以用匙一下一下咁切出來吃. 溫度唔會太凍, 放入口中剛剛好.果然是街坊至愛的食扒地方~

而牛扒配雞扒, 牛扒好好, 我要七成熟, 肉好腍, 一切都已經切到, 無筋, 全塊肉, 味道很好.

仲有甜品食, 吃了布甸加鍊奶. 布甸硬度適中, 可以用匙一下一下咁切出來吃. 溫度唔會太凍, 放入口中剛
剛好.

果然是街坊至愛的食扒地方~

「明寶石」,這裡一向是本人心水的覓食秘地,就是港式西餐,裝修帶點麻甩,招呼卻甚週到,價錢平又不錯吃就是了。與友人來了這裡午餐,價錢大眾化,套餐選擇也甚豐富。先來的牛尾湯,煲得甚濃郁,特別混有薏米也令它加添了幾份本土特色。「鮮茄焗牛脷意粉」我每次來的選擇,鮮茄什菜一大堆,滿滿的一碟,看見已令人很開心。厚切牛脷焗得鬆化,配上惹味的醬汁,好吃。意大利粉煮得太腍,有改善空間啊。友人的「焗鮮茄石斑飯」,我可沒有試吃,直覺覺得兩者味道分別不會太大吧!

是日元宵佳節,又是中國情人節,中國傳統都會在這節日裡吃一個湯圓,意為團圓。雖然在下沒有在這佳節吃湯圓的習慣和習俗,但是卻又想吃湯久想與女友共渡佳節。約定女友便來到灣仔,但是又想起還未吃早餐,於是便走到譚臣道的明寶石餐廳,仍然有早餐供應,於是推門而進。今天既是中式情人節,就來一個中式節日配一個西式早餐吧。看過餐牌,早餐選擇不少,有茶記的通粉和火腿炒蛋等早餐,亦有扒類早餐,形形色色,是非常地道的港式西餐廳。而內裡卻又很地道的港式餐廳裝潢,而且看來已經有一段時間沒有重新裝修,所以裝修有點舊吧。而內在的顧客只是坐滿約一半左右,所以便很快的被安排坐在方門口的位置。再看看餐牌,實在有不少選擇,侍者也問了兩次而在下舉棋不定,到最後還是點選了西檸雞扒配多士和咖啡。侍者送來的是一客多士和牛油,拿過牛油後,卻發現還有士多啤梨果醬,當然在下也把士多啤梨困醬塗上多士去。多士外脆內軟,而且烘得金黃,加上了牛油和果醬,使多士增添不少美味。另一方面餐廳還提供一小杯的蕃汁,但是味道卻是罐頭蕃茄的味道。然後就是西檸雞扒。雞扒煎得香脆多肉汁,不會煎得過燶,皮下脂肪幾乎被煎得乾塘,不過仍然保留著肉汁在內,而且還有雞的嫩滑,

最後咖啡都送到桌上。咖啡還未加糖加奶已經香味直撲過來,而且咖啡香味濃烈,相信是一杯好喝的咖啡。加上奶和糖之後,不失其咖啡的香味,而咖啡的苦澀也適中,奶也算使咖啡滑溜。

整體而言味道不錯,雞扒做得不錯,是水準之內,也是很好味的一道菜,咖啡香味滿溢,也是在下很久未遇上這樣香的咖啡。完成早餐後,便與饞餵妹一起過完宵佳節。

上完 court 獨自午餐,特地去「明寶石」一試。看見 lunch set $58,外賣飯盒只是 $40,於是改變主意,買外賣返公司。穿恤衫的男店員很友善,兩次邀請我進內等候,但我怕阻住人做生意,還是乖乖在門外等好了。平日吃茶餐廳的飯盒多,早已習慣了東歪西倒的飯菜。「明寶石」的飯盒排列工整,讓人心情格外愉快。茄汁燴龍利飯,外層煎得香口,魚塊鮮嫩香滑。茄汁比較像洋蔥汁,配菜也很新鮮。白飯熱燙燙的,粒粒分明,很有家的感覺啊。熱檸水,用上新鮮的檸檬片,整體說是水準以上的午餐。

平日吃茶餐廳的飯盒多,早已習慣了東歪西倒的飯菜。「明寶石」的飯盒排列工整,讓人心情格外愉快。茄汁燴龍利飯,外層煎得香口,魚塊鮮嫩香滑。茄汁比較像洋蔥汁,配菜也很新鮮。白飯熱燙燙的,粒粒分明,很有家的感覺啊。熱檸水,用上新鮮的檸檬片,整體說是水準以上的午餐。
