這清酒的⽶是被磨⾄至只餘下中⼼的8%(一般的⼤吟釀是磨⾄50%),喝時的確帶有很濃郁的米香及 after taste,並非一般⼤吟釀以媲美,確值得一試!

最後以手打冷蕎麥麵和椰汁南瓜白玉子作結,由於大家都吃得很飽的關係,份量比正常的少很多。出色的蕎麥麵又再帶來驚喜,味道、質感皆愈來愈好。椰汁南瓜白玉子更不用說,心裡盤算著吃完自己那份後再染指蛋白君的(退休甜男通常都只吃一口),沒想到他吃得比我快! 如意算盤打不響....(殘念)

I wanted a light lunch in my office building, so I checked out Gonpachi. I ordered an assorted premium sashimi rice bowl for 188 HKD. There were a couple of slices of white fish, tuna and salmon. The fish was fresh and the rice was well seasoned with just the right amount of vinegar.

But for the price, I thought it was too small a portion, and pretty uninspired. It wasn't stated in the menu what fish I was to get, and I should have asked. This was expensive relative to many other places in CWB serving the same thing, but pretty average. For example, Dining Kitchen Vegi serves a beautifully presented chirashi rice bowl with a side of soba for 138 HKD. So Gonpachi really falls below the bar on this one.

Set lunch also came with an iceberg lettuce salad, seaweed starter (both tasted ordinary and frankly, iceberg just screams cheap), chiffon cake (fluffy and buttery) and coffee/tea. 

Contrary to some of the other posts about having no service, I felt that I had too much of it. At one point I had two wait staff - one to the left and one to my right - clear my utensils, moments after I put down my chopsticks. I hate that. It says to me that the restaurant is telling me to get the bill. I expect that in a cha chaan teng, not a restaurant like this. 

I won't bother with lunch here again.

先吃粉紅色拖羅,Otoro為最上級的,位置是指魚體前腹段,色澤粉紅,單看賣相已知道肥美、油脂入口即化,而且含豐富的D.H.A,真是不得了。
中間的是Chu Toro(中拖羅),是指魚體中腹及尾腹,D.H.A.的含量高,油脂適中配以蕃茄片和芦北甜洋蔥絲卷在一起,蕃茄和洋蔥超新鮮,均甜美多汁,拖羅肉質鮮美,味道雖比不上其他位置濃郁,不過仍屬中、上等級的。
赤身吞拿魚,是魚體背部或不含油脂的魚體,這個部份雖不是充滿油脂,又因含脂量少、肉質堅實而又具嚼感,再配上山芋絲,非常美味。
鹽蕃茄水牛芝士洋蔥漬($188)
叫得做蕃茄醬,當然喜歡食蕃茄,此鹽蕃茄種植於海邊的溫室,由於土壤吸收咗海水的鹽份,令到蕃茄帶有輕輕的天然海水鹹味,鹹香令蕃茄更有鮮味、清甜多汁,而水牛芝士的質感比較煙韌,味道充滿咗芝士香,而芦北甜洋蔥亦很清甜,不錯。
車海老蜜柑鹽蕃茄椎茸沙律($188)
很喜歡日本沙律,基本上是喜歡日本的蔬果,因為超新鮮及清甜,每次到日本必食,沙律中有之前食過的蕃茄外,還有車海老、蘆筍和蜜柑、椎茸等,車海老肉質鮮甜及結實就不用多說,蜜柑全名為"不知火凸頂蜜柑",在日本喻為果實之女王,甜味濃帶酸香,椎茸無澀味,再加上沙律汁拌勻後進食,非常開胃,另到我更肚餓了。

汁燒五色檜扇貝($188/4隻)
當扇貝上枱時,心想只不過是普通的染色扇貝,又有甚麼特別?後得知扇貝靠在七彩岩石旁邊生長,所以天然地變成不同顏色,非常罕有及特別,而味道及肉質可以做得更好,不過單看賣相及色彩已足夠。
炭燒和牛伴香草牛油($428)
壽司未到之前,先嚐嚐熊本的炭燒黑毛和牛,此和牛屬於頂級品種,味道濃郁。和牛用炭火燒烤過,外面焦香,非常邪惡,而肉質剛好軟軟稔的,再加上香草牛油,真是邪惡加邪惡。

Kill(Bill)ing it at Gonpachi
Quentin Tarantino has made numerous films. But one of his most notorious and memorable films has to be Kill Bill. Tokyo’s Gonpachi was home for the classic Kill Bill fighting sequence and has since been known as ‘The Kill Bill Restaurant’. And late last year, Gonpachi opened its doors in Hong Kong. It nicely situates itself on the 5th floor of Lee Gardens in CWB (formally Lawry’s Prime Rib). As you walk through the dark corridor- you are greeted by warm welcome from the chefs, wood-panelled walls, lantern lighting and festive wall decor. The space is MASSIVE… there are tables, seating mats (those look fun) and all within a circular/dome like hole space? I don’t think I’m explaining this too well. But you get the idea!

The soft, moist, tender and buttery beef tenderloin practically melted in your mouth…and don’t get me started on the sweet, juicy and cold sea urchin. It was the perfect decadent sushi roll…Everything I like in a sushi roll ;) Delicious. I scarfed down 2!! Thx for letting me be so greedy.
The next skewers came recommended to us~ its been a while but my memory should serve me quite well!

Our first dish was one of the best of the night. The spicy tuna tartar was tender and sweet with a spicy finishes from the wasabi sauce. The rice cracker was one of the best rice crackers I have ever tasted! It was extremely crispy with a wonderful toastiness and a hint of saltiness.

此溫室蕃茄種植地位於海邊,土壤吸收了海水的鹽份,令到蕃茄帶著輕輕的鹹香;那輕輕的鹹香令蕃茄的甜更加突出,很美味喔。而水牛芝士的味道則充滿了芝士香,質感柔軟;而洋蔥亦很清甜,吃了不會掉眼淚,清甜的洋蔥真的很美味,平日很怕吃生洋蔥,味道太強太刺鼻。但這一刻,突然想吃一刺鼻的洋蔥來刺激淚線,當有人問為什麼要哭,我可以大方的說句: 吃了洋蔥而已。

很多餐廳都提供雞肉棒,但好吃的只有三兩間;權八的雞肉棒做得不錯,用上了土雞,以雞腿肉塗上麵豉醬,當中還有加入了軟骨;味道濃郁,軟稔中帶點彈牙;而麵豉醬亦十分美味,很喜歡。而椎茸則是產於熊本縣菌池市,以原條橡木栽培,約一米長的樹幹刺洞後放人菌床,悉心栽培兩年之久。菌味份外濃郁,質感亦很軟,再加上那甜甜的醬汁,很美味。

很美很美的扇貝,看到後真的心花怒放。為什麼扇貝會這樣的顏色? 因為這些扇貝倚附在七彩岩石旁邊生長,非常罕有。味道上與普通的分別不會太大,不過單單看到這些顏色,都已經值回票價了。

第一次在權八吃壽司,十分期待呢。我們四個小女子分享這碟壽司壽司從來都是一人一件,為了公平起見,所以我們玩遊戲來決議吃那件。小妹則選了拖羅、左口魚和三文魚子。
油脂豐盛的拖羅與飯從來都很配,那油脂滲進了飯當中,入口即化的感覺實在太棒。三文魚籽亦很新鮮,每粒都爆出新鮮充滿鹹香的三文魚籽汁。而左口魚則沒有在其他店的膠,肉質反而是彈牙中帶點軟稔,魚味亦很濃郁,很喜歡。

這芝士與一般的芝士蛋糕很不同的,不是日式亦不是美式,而是熊本式,其實我說說而已。這來自熊本的芝士蛋糕,質感份外的鬆軟,軟中帶點濕軟,充滿了強烈的蛋香,蛋香強之餘亦帶點芝士香,很美味喔。當然少不了我最愛的雪糕吧。
吃過美食,喝過美酒,是時間回家覺覺豬了。來過權八數次,似乎質素比早前的好,串燒的炭香比從前強烈;而且這裡總是有不同的主題,令人很想每次有新主題都來一趟。

之後奉上岩手蘋果凱撒沙律伴白金豚肉($128),吃前先將蛋放入再攪拌,蛋漿加上醬汁充滿蛋香,蘋果非常清甜及爽脆,沙律菜亦新鮮;而經過油炸的白金豚肉,夠脆香而且不油。
燒岩手牛柳刺身伴海膽及香味野菜($188),新鮮嫩嫩的岩手牛柳包著邪惡而又甘甜的靚海膽,呢個配搭,不得了。

厚切岩手白金豚肉配柚子胡椒($188),豚肉仲見到有肥膏,膽固醇萬歲,聽食友講肉質不及上次好,但我覺得已算合格,再配上金山寺山葵和柚子胡椒,令到更有層次感。
和風八方海鮮鍋($268),人大喜歡飲湯,所以先嚐湯頭,非常清甜,海鮮算新鮮,蝦夠大隻、蜆夠爽,而蔬菜亦索盡了海鮮湯的精華,讚。

之後由[新潟縣清酒]<八海山>酒廠的代表向我們介紹<八海山>,代表向我們稱香港是暫時沒有售賣此{特別版}的,在日本亦只有米芝蓮餐廳級數才可享用,異常矜貴,代表還不肯透露價錢,可能是人生得此機會喝,多謝店方安排,此清酒入口甜度適中,適合配刺身

岩手帆立貝大葉天婦羅($98/PC),天婦羅水準高低與否,要看看脆漿、是否多油、夠不夠乾身,當然最重要是食材新鮮,帆立貝夠新鮮而且夠彈牙,沒有太多油而且夠乾身,水準之作。
蒜片豬頸肉($38),可能大家都經常食豬頸肉,呢個同平時不同的,味道更香濃,肥瘦之分佈,又是膽固醇萬歲,肉質爽口,再配以蒜片更正。

食得差不多七七八八,戲肉才現在開始,原來是<鏡開敲擊酒桶>儀式,這是代表{打開鏡子}的意思,主理人及代表用木鎚敲開清酒木桶的頂蓋,再用木杓子把清酒倒進木器皿(盛清酒之木器皿是由八海山專程運來的),到港後再印上[權八]字樣在器皿上,不過特別是不慣用方形的杯子喝酒。

八海山原酒,最後一支<八海山>原酒,是原始的味道?我不是品酒師,但係好好飲,而且酒精亦去到20%左右,容易令人醉。
權八手打冷蕎麥麵,Soba作此餐結尾算不錯吧,[權八]之蕎麥麵是自家製的,夠煙韌彈牙,不過每籃的蕎麥麵水準不一,如果再濃味就更好,吃時浸入蕎麥麵汁,正。
