一睇Menu已經見到一定要留肚食Apple Tarte ,所以只係叫2個starters + 1 份steak share 。 一開始叫starter 位餐廳經理就同我哋講 “Good start!”,叫埋主菜之後佢仲話 “ perfect match!” ,當然明白無論客人叫咩都會係咁講,但係對客人來講會覺得開心啲食得暢快啲,老實講呢樣嘢通常只會係一啲fine dinning 嘅餐廳或者外國嘅餐廳先會見到。


Starter 本來想叫steak tartare,但諗住主菜叫steak 所以最終決定都係叫Tuna Tartare。 雖然唔係我食過最好食嘅Tuna tartare ,但佢嘅日式醬油及wasabi 帶出 tuna 鮮味,呢個配搭幾得意。

第2分starter 係seared foie gras ,唔係用傳統嘅toast 而係改用有焦糖味好似Bread Pudding 配搭菠蘿粒粒薦底,foie gras over cook 咗未能做到外脆內軟,菠蘿粒粒本身較甜但佢配搭嘅辣椒中和左佢嘅甜膩,又OK喎。 Bread pudding 雖然可有可無,但幾好食唔會太甜,用嚟配搭foie gras 幾得意。

終於嚟到甜品,就係我最鍾意嘅Apple Tarte! 佢寫明2人份,見到好多人都係叫呢個甜品,所以我都非常期待
。 當經理拎過嚟嘅時候都會準備你會影相,會問你要切一半定分4分方便你食,切完之後又會問你想佢幫你serve上碟定放喺枱你自己慢慢切嚟食,又細心解釋點解配搭sour cream 而唔係平時嘅cream,呢啲details 位真係好細心。 Apple Tarte 係偏甜嘅,正如經理所講配搭sour cream 係可以中和佢嘅甜又幾好喎

係呢2.5 小時我真係覺得好relax,一來靚景、二來每個dish 之間有時間俾你休息,就連2個starters 佢都係分開上,等你食完一個starter 至上另一個starter,絕對唔會好似其他餐廳咁一次過上俾你,而且我仲留意到佢哋會喺遠處望一望你係咪食完張枱係咪已經冇碟先至再上另一道菜。 三來服務真係好好感覺好professional,每食完一道菜收碟之後都會抹枱,呢樣喺香港來講比較少見



雖然佢啲嘢食唔係真係一流,但價錢唔係貴,整體我係enjoy,依家香港食飯最怕好似食到好似俾人追交枱,呢度食得絕對舒服,下次我會再嚟食晚飯,希望疫情可以快啲消失,可以快啲恢復晚市堂食!

Sunday night dinner at Harbourside Grill, watching the sun set upon the beautiful Hong Kong harbour. What more could I ask for? 

The new Harbourside Grill which opened in mid-May, takes over the space previously home to Gordon Ramsay’s Maze Grill which closed in late March. 

Entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a friendly staff who took our umbrellas and showed us to our seat. Voila! Large glass windows from floor to ceiling allowed for great views of the harbour. I suspect that it would be even more spectacular during the day.

Smoked salmon and cream cheese was an absolute treat, but overpowered the caviar slightly. Pomelo salad offered a light and refreshing touch to the smoked salmon.

As I am a big fan of foie gras, this certainly did not disappoint. The foie gras was nicely seared, and accompanied with the soft brioche with nuts at the top to give it a crunchy feel (contrasting nicely with the melt-in-your-mouth foie gras) and the fruity passion fruit reduction, was a dish to savour.

Highlight of the meal ~~ Ribeye was cooked nicely and plated beautifully. Grilled over Japanese charcoal in the oven, the ribeye was juicy and tender. The triple cooked-chips deserves a special mention, they were absolutely amazing.

To top off an amazing meal, the freshly made (hot from the oven) apple tarte was served on a trolley. Caramelized apples lying on the flaky puff pastry, combined with the creme fraiche which added creamy richness, made it a near perfect dessert.

Sitting indoors by the window, and watching the sun set whilst having dinner is certainly something special and not to be missed. Overall a great meal, with a relaxed atmosphere and good service.

The lunch set on offer (at $208 for 2 courses and $248 for 3 courses) seems like a bargain, and I’ll definitely come back soon to try it!

I ordered a medium sirloin. However, the steak was apparently overcook. So frustrating! The steak was too dry and tasteless. To be honest, I think it doesn’t worth its price. The view was fascinating. But there is still room for improvement in the food quality. And there are various of stunning restaurants you can choose in harbour city.
