早在東大街的恆河取得一星之前已經幫襯過,當知道它取得一粒星之時,真的是搔爆頭,是日有點事來到西灣河這一帶,那就倒不如試試此分店的水準又如何。店子假日的午餐比起平日的貴,六十八元一份,包餐湯、主菜、烤餅或飯及餐飲,另本人也點了一個咖哩角,這是本人到印度館子幾乎是必的美食。先來介紹個餐湯,原來是忌廉雞湯,真的是有如普通的罐頭湯,湯夠挺身,更是稠得稍嫌過了火,可惜一點忌廉香也沒有,那點點微小的雞肉碎真的沒帶來什麼吃感,而面層那點點的黑胡椒,可說是最好的安慰。咖哩角一客三件,可以選擇羊肉餡或素餡,一般來說其實印度人都幾興吃素的,所以其咖哩角都是素餡比較普遍,這個素餡的咖哩角,很是大件,也是非常之夠熱,烤焗得很乾身,外層的餅皮熱騰騰,入口酥鬆而一丁點也不油膩,不是一般油炸做得到的水準,那餡其實都是用了薯蓉及青豆等,混入了、馬沙拉、大小茴及豆蔻等的香料,吃起來傅出不少茴香,再蘸點薄荷乳酪汁,酸酸的很是美味。兩份主菜之一一定要選咖哩羊腩,此道主菜要了中辣,在點菜時店員說會是很辣的,但於我而言只是BB辣的級數,吃了一口汁,有別於一般吃過的印度咖哩汁,沒太強的香料味,反之好像是濃豉油的味道,鹹味勁而香味

先來介紹個餐湯,原來是忌廉雞湯,真的是有如普通的罐頭湯,湯夠挺身,更是稠得稍嫌過了火,可惜一點忌廉香也沒有,那點點微小的雞肉碎真的沒帶來什麼吃感,而面層那點點的黑胡椒,可說是最好的安慰。

兩份主菜之一一定要選咖哩羊腩,此道主菜要了中辣,在點菜時店員說會是很辣的,但於我而言只是BB辣的級數,吃了一口汁,有別於一般吃過的印度咖哩汁,沒太強的香料味,反之好像是濃豉油的味道,鹹味勁而香味度普通,咖哩汁夠稠但也不太有奶那滑身的感覺,羊腩炆得入味,不過肉質稍嫌有點嚡口,薯仔粉腍也還不賴的,總體來說其實普通而已。

另一個主菜要了牛舌燴咖哩,其實這個名字真的是怪怪的,怎麼不是咖哩燴牛舌呢?都是說回食物好了,咖哩汁面層加了點花奶,而這款較為淡色的咖哩汁,吃起來反之更有馬沙拉及香料的味道,加上那汁是稠得來有種奶的滑,是絕對的彌補了之前那個咖哩汁的不足,至於牛舌也是又厚身,又能炆煮得軟腍有咬口,總體來說好吃,但其實在重慶大廈內都有的質數。

吃咖哩當然要有烤餅,選取了一份香蔥味的,其實就是在普通的烤餅當中加入一點點的蔥花,但其實都真的幾生,看來是烤焗至尾聲才放入烤爐,餅的底層果然被烤得挺是香脆,而面層就發起得非常鬆軟,不過個人認為就稍欠了一點麥香。

另外的烤餅要了馬拉式的油酥餅,確實是酥鬆得來又夠香脆,那個烤焦的部位,是要比外邊不少星馬店子的油酥餅更甚,不過稍嫌塊餅是油了一點,而且也比平常吃過的油酥餅要甜,但總括來說,蘸上咖哩汁吃也是非常之美味。

喝的要了兩杯都是凍檸茶,皆因此店是沒有供應馬沙拉茶,就連本人花點錢去單點的機會也沒有,少甜的檸檬茶確實是比沒少甜的那一杯沒那麼甜,不過於我而言還是甜了一點,檸檬有四片又夠厚,喝起來的茶味還不賴,不會太稀,冰凍解渴,吃畢又油又辣的東西來喝,實在是非常之合時。

其實都是一所好吃的店子,但問題是,好吃的印度店子整座重慶大廈也如是,又為何這一家會被受追捧呢?這是我由上年年尾以來到現在都有的一個大問號。

配菜不行,但主菜仍有值得推介的地方。

主菜:咖喱雞件($42),咖喱十分濃郁,不稠不稀,加入香草,味道正宗由印度人制正宗印度咖喱
由於雞比較淡味配上過辣咖喱會蓋過雞味,所以叫了小辣
若望嘗試中辣或大辣建議選擇羊作主菜。雞件份量不少,有3大件。雞肉嫩而無骨,啖啖肉。
烤餅未夠火侯,應該不是即做所以不熱。因原味所以只索得咖喱味,正宗印度風味,十個讚。

午市設加一,埋單每人$46,亦算滿足。
服務不過不失,但店中總有服務員態度較差,唯老板娘依舊笑容滿面,建議食客選擇下層坐位。
恆河咖喱仍屬米之蓮級水平,但其他配菜質素參差,有待改進。

個manager / 老闆 跟他說:你坐出面啦,入面個位近D架,我地要攞碟.

吃到一半,有人來買外賣,
waiter (應該是暑期工) 落單後,就去櫃檯正式落單。
個manager / 老闆大大聲話:你唔叫人地比埋錢,到時候佢走左點算?到時候你就要負責條數ga la.
狼狽的waiter唯有開門追出去叫打算轉頭番黎攞外埋ge客人番轉頭俾$.


事件三
大約7:40左右,有book左八點的客人攞位,
個manager / 老闆大大聲話:你地book作八點ga ma,咁快到做咩,依加都未到八點,出去出面排隊等下先啦.
門外的確有紅色waiting stand讓客人可以排隊,
但夏日炎炎,而且係條馬路旁邊,餐廳出風口附近,很替那些食客覺得熱.


事件四
我的食量比較小,他的食量比較大,
自然的,我吃完的時候他還繼續吃。
manager / 老闆見我停手,便把盤子用具全部收起來。
waiter(應該是暑期工) 見到,也有樣學樣,把正在用手吃雞腿的他的盤子收起來。
場面本來已經尷尬,個manager / 老闆還要大聲說:唉呀,客人還沒吃完,你就唔好收人地隻碟.


我倆那一刻真的想找地洞鑽進去.
生平還是第一次有餐廳有咁特別ge服務.

如果是茶餐廳價錢有這樣的整體服務/食物/分量算合理,
但如果每人也要100以上,而且夾著米之蓮之名,大家就可以好好考慮了。

結果,我連忙帶著我的他去明記食糖水,好好下左道火。

The set included sweet corn soup which was OK... except it was a bit too peppery. About 5 mins later the lamb and beef curry came, but we had to wait another couple of minutes before we got any rice and our naan bread. We then waited a few more minutes for the eggplant curry. My chicken curry didn't come until my colleagues had mostly finished their meals


The naan bread that we ordered wasn't crispy at all
Very doughy and generally tasteless. What a disappointment! The curry itself was decent, but there wasn't much meat in each of the curries. My chicken curry had one small potato in it, and it was cold!
I also had three small pieces of chicken which tasted quite good. My colleague's eggplant curry was deemed "sweet"... and the lamb and beef curries where generally OK in taste.

Overall, the food was OK, but the dining experience was terrible. Being a "Michelin Recommended" restaurant I expected a lot more. The "Michelin" sticker on the outside of the restaurant must be "Made in China" or the Michelin reviewer must have been bribed. In the future I won't be coming back

欣聞恆河咖喱館獲米芝蓮一星餐廳殊榮,忽然想起差不多三個月前我去完教會後,自己去這處食一個印式午餐的情景.......這間餐廳的午餐只賣$40,而且有多款印度主菜選擇,而我較喜歡食燒烤的,因此揀了一味印度燒烤作主菜,果然味道十分之好,配上的咖喱汁又不溫不火,再想起公司未搬遷前,我不時也會自己搭電車過這處食的情景......因此,這店獲米芝蓮一星,的確當之無愧!

例牌小食>胡椒餅,今日相對辣咗D,當然仲有薄荷醬+泰式酸甜辣醬,
主菜1>鐵板八爪魚,事頭婆都話睇到都覺得JUICY,當然早到有著數,師傅都有心機D喇,
味唔太濃,仲可以連配菜洋葱紅椰菜一齊食......
主菜2>MALASA燒羊鞍,如果以豬應該係RIBS,有3大舊,有"趙頭咬口"但唔靭唔鞋,撈埋配菜青椒一齊食又會唔覺意咬到辣椒絲,好過癮,最窩心嘅係兩次都係先出淡口再出濃味菜式......
仲有薄餅>牛油薄餅,夠香但唔漏,少少"窿(焦)"今佢挺身D浸落汁度都無咁快"林"......
老實講,唔食"窿(焦)"就算吧啦!
酸乳>今晚飲嘅係芒果酸乳,但唔係一定有,老闆嗰日無買芒果就無得飲喇......
原來凍甜嘅酸乳係可以解辣,如果加上芒果嘅香味就更易入口,更易獲得女仔嘅歡心,
傾傾下事頭婆又捧咗碟薄餅出嚟,今次係甜嘅"紅豆薄餅"送俾我哋食......
今次煎到趣趣地,入面搽咗薄薄一浸紅豆蓉,入口唔甜,竟然仲食得晒,
千祈咪話人哋"孤寒"得咁少紅豆,你估上海舖嘅豆沙煱餅咩!佢都當堂笑咗出嚟!
細問之下入面嘅豆蓉係用日本紅豆做嘅,食落唔怪得之唔會起渣啦!
成餐飯個氣氛好好,同店員可以有講有笑,之但係真係要早到,坐近出菜收銀嘅位置,
就比較容易得到既貼身又貼心嘅服務......
雖然事頭婆比較串咀,但講好多野都好有大道理,有興趣都可以交流下呀!
服務方面就家庭式,人一多就有可能兼顧唔到,話晒都係事頭婆+一個識廣東話嘅外藉+一個事頭婆個仔嘅同學嚟做part-time組成嘅樓面......聽我講,早D去,坐樓下會有唔同嘅體驗!

P.S:如果你有6位甚至8位以上建議你食頭圍,雖然佢唔會趕你走,但好難係8點後留到位俾你一次過入枱,將心比心,想食好野,就下人大家都好啦.......
