This is the worst cake shop. I had the worst cake order experience ever.I pre-ordered a regular strawberry cake (which the shop refers to "Charlotte cake") one week before my daughter's birthday, i.e. on 22 May 2022.
The pick up was supposedly on 29 May 2022 at 3:30pm. Me and my husband arrived at the shop for the pick up on 29 May 2022 at around 3:40pm at TST, Harbour city. I asked my husband to get into the shop for the pick up because the shop was just too crowded and I thought picking up a cake would take less than 2 minutes. However, I waited for a while (apparently more than 2 min), and smelled that something went wrong. I went into the shop and tried to find out more. Then the shop manager came and told us THEY LOST OUR ORDER. What do you mean? LIKE THEY DID NOT SEND OUR ORDER OUT (although she was holding the pink receipt in her hand). I kept on asking, what do you mean? It means there is no cake for us. WHAT? I pre-ordered one week back, and it is not like a tailor made cake or wedding cake, meaning there is nothing complicated, but just like the one the store is selling "Charlotte cake". This is the cake for my birthday girl, whose birthday really falls on 29 May 2022 and this is the cake she requested for and now just one answer "NO CAKE", then what's the point of taking my pre-order? I asked the shop manager what is the normal procedure? They said they missed it somehow. The pick up was like 3:30pm, shouldn't be like some procedure in place which any staff should look at the order file in the morning? It clearly means that that the shop or the company itself does not have policy in place.
At least from what I saw, there are total of 4 staff in such a small cake shop, but all of them missed ONE order....like ONE WEEK????
And guess what, there is no alternative or whatsoever but I could only buy another cake in Harbour City on the same day (that means just a few hours before the birthday dinner). What a shame!
