在附近返工,見呢間店初初開的時候常常都好多人,可能是雜誌效應,因為都見到他們在各雜誌出了很多線謞! 我本來都不是一個喜歡寫食評的人,不過我覺得呢間小店如果收得客人咁高嘅價錢,就應該提供返一些有相對質素的食物給客人,呢個是基本嘅操手問題。我建議他們與其在雜誌搞咁多線謞,不如從最基本做起,搞好食物質素先,建立一些真真正正嘅口碑,這樣才會長久!

i brought my friends to come here again because of my friend's birthday.

i found there are some changes on the menu. more skewers come up.

since we are very very hungry, we ordered some skewers before shabu shabu commenced

ox tougue - very elastic and fresh
chicken meat ball - eggs inside but dry, can be more juicy
japanese beef rolls - excellent and not too heavy
chicken wings - ok la, nothing special

We also ordered 3 shabu shabu sets (2 upgrade & 1 standard) with some side orders (crab legs & tofu)

- upgrade A4 (by seeing the texture without tasting, the beef is excellent. of course it tastes really well)
- standard beef (just so so, not good but not bad. it's acceptable and reasonable for only $230. In Japan, having traditional shabu shabu, around 6000-7000yen for this standard kind of beef, $12000-14000 for deluxe beef)
- fish soup for all pots we like it very much with udon.
- crab legs - i prefer to dine out in hoikaido because the food there are fresh
- tofu - i do not eat because my friends eat all
- dessert mochi - wonderful for round up

this is the 2nd time i came here. they keep the food standard and change the menu sometimes. my friends and i love this place very much. keep it up. i join your shop fans group already.

I must declare, I was asked by a friend to pay a secret visit to this restaurant, and give comments to this friend.

We went there for lunch. As a friendly reminder, you have to make reservation, even on weekdays.

To be frank, lunch menu is not that attractive, but good value for money. Perfect for ladies craving for a light but special meal.

Since we are acting under a covert action, we ordered food off the set-menu.

美國牛 and 和牛, special udon (the hard ones standing up in a 筆桶), 黑毛豬, tofu, clans, 春菊.

Again, as a friendly reminder, I recommend you try 美國牛 before 和牛. Reason being their texture and beef-flavour differ remarkably. You would love 美國牛 and divorce 美國牛 because of the emergence of 和牛. Reverse in order would cause some disappointment.

Clans are good, though there is a bit of sand, unavoidably.

春菊 is a must-try.

Udon should come last, because by then the clear-to-cloudy soup would highlight the characteristics of the special udon.

Good thing about the hotpot is 一人一鍋.

After hotpot, we ordered a few BBQ. Can't remember what we have ordered, but impression is "above average".

We revealed our identities at the end, and gave some recommendations to the boss, Kenny.

Forget about the 是次消費 below, we really have ordered a lot, kind of unusual for lunch. Normally, price per head for set-lunch plus 2 or 3 BBQ sticks, $100-120 per head.

I will definitely revisit to see if there is some improvement.

Over the past few months, a number of restaurants have opened up on Caroline Hill Road... and this is one of the best ones. Although the bar seating means that it's harder for big groups to chat, it's a great place for two or three friends to hang out and have dinner. Although because there are only 18 (or 24?) seats, it's also a good place for small events like a birthday party or hen night or something.

There are several set dinners to choose from - beef, pork or seafood. Each set comes with a humungous plate of very fresh veggies, soup (clear clam or miso), udon or rice and a choice of four soups for you to cook your meal in. Then there's a la carte where you're spoilt for choice, with options for more shabu food or skewer food (grilled stuff).

My friend & I ordered the beef set ('normal' wagyu beef is great already, no upgrades to A4 wagyu needed!) and the seafood set (huge fresh clams, scallops, prawns etc... as well as a seriously big American oyster), as well as ox tongue skewers and ginko skewers. YUM. That ox tongue is SO good. The udon is also worth mentioning - it's very very good indeed. Though it didn't look like very much food, we were both terribly full by the end of it, and the red bean ice cream thing at the end capped off a great evening of food.

They also have a good choice of sake, bringing in several brands that aren't commonly found in Hong Kong. Apparently, they're going to be bringing in sparkling sake soon too. Will be looking forward to that!

Just as a note though - people sitting on the long sides of the bar seem to get less steam blown into their faces so try to ask for seating on the sides instead of in the middle of the U, and there isn't anywhere to put your bag(s), especially when it's full house in the restaurant so don't go with a whole lot of shopping!!

I have been Katte for 4 times. What makes me write here the first time is to share with you more about the dishes I like.Both food quality and the environment should deserve a grade A . What I would highly recommend are its’ unique sesame sauce and red snapper soup. For the sauce, it is excellent that I have never tried before. It really excited my taste buds. I really want to purchase a small bottle of sauce for my personal use.
For the red snapper soup, I like fish soup so much and Katte’s one definitely refreshes my stomach. The soup is very fresh and sweet. It perfectly matches with the udon.
There are only two options for dinner set menu and it is recommended to offer more choices for customers’ selection.
I wish they have good success in their new shop.

其實,這食評應該三個月前寫的,但我寫的進度太慢了,想起來也覺得自己有點過份。為慶祝好友生日,決定在某周六下午到勝手試試日式Shabu Shabu,當日沒吃早餐,情況有點像電影<97家有囍事> 的周星馳,一起身擘大眼就以「打邊爐」作 brunch,人生如此,何其快哉?午市有三款套餐供應,主要視乎吃豬還是牛,相信大多都和我一樣,要一客九十八元的Shabu Shabu Executive Set,貪其集齊日本黑豚及美國牛小排,更包括了前菜、串燒、稻亭烏冬、甜品等,非常豐富。湯底有四款,分別是豬骨湯、立魚清湯、壽喜燒、及木魚清湯,一時間都不知應如何選擇,幸細心的老闆逐一詳細介紹,更推介了招牌的奶白立魚清湯,當然要相信他的專業,就要這個吧!等待湯底的時候,不妨以味道鮮甜的枝豆清清味蕾,或者試試自家製的香濃芝麻醬,包保開胃至極。不用多久,招牌湯底已送上來,這個沒有任何花巧的奶白色湯底,純以鮮立魚淆製,淺嚐一口,魚味濃郁得很,的確夠鮮夠甜。即使湯快煮乾,店員也會適時加入立魚湯水,以保持味道不會變淡,看似簡單卻反映店方的細心,實在值得一讚。出色的湯底,好像搶去了日本黑豚及美國牛小排的風

午市有三款套餐供應,主要視乎吃豬還是牛,相信大多都和我一樣,要一客九十八元的Shabu Shabu Executive Set,貪其集齊日本黑豚及美國牛小排,更包括了前菜、串燒、稻亭烏冬、甜品等,非常豐富。湯底有四款,分別是豬骨湯、立魚清湯、壽喜燒、及木魚清湯,一時間都不知應如何選擇,幸細心的老闆逐一詳細介紹,更推介了招牌的奶白立魚清湯,當然要相信他的專業,就要這個吧!

出色的湯底,好像搶去了日本黑豚及美國牛小排的風頭。事實上,黑豚肉油脂分佈平均,吃起來的質感相當豐富,有一定水準的;至於美國牛小排,看似跟普通肥牛無異,但其實片得薄身,能充份吸收湯底鮮味,再沾上芝麻醬吃,叫人回味。吃罷肉類,再慢慢吃掉早放在湯內的豆腐、冬菇、青菜,又是另一層次的享受。

差點忘記了串燒的部份,經老闆介紹下選擇了黑豚肉泡菜卷、雞肉丸及燒雞翼。燒雞翼比較簡單,外皮燒得香脆已經收貨;黑豚肉泡菜卷,固名思義是以豚肉卷著泡菜,難得是泡菜份量剛好,味道質感並全,印象不錯;最特別的是大大粒的雞肉丸,想不到「內有乾坤」,竟共有兩只鵪鶉蛋,口感當然豐富,但吃掉後又充滿罪惡感,真叫人又愛又恨。

吃過串燒,是時候將稻庭烏冬放入湯中,烏冬可算是頂級的,乾撈非常彈牙,放進湯內吃又非常滑溜,加上立魚及配菜的鮮甜精華,簡直是一等一的好貨色。意猶未盡,老闆表示可拿起熱鍋,鍋邊是特別設計的,一點也不熱,所以輕易地將所剩無幾的靚湯喝得一乾二淨,當中滋味實在不是毗鄰的汽水可比擬的。飯後的香芋雪榚糯米滋,皮薄餡足,是錦上添花的結尾。

如果想試試這個具水準的 Shabu Shabu,建議必先訂位,事關小店只得十數個座位,需知火鍋不是數分鐘內可解決的事,用膳當日就看著老闆不停婉拒 walk-in 的人客,但沒有特意設下 time limit。據說店方不時轉換餐牌,為客人提供最當造的款式,這種對食物的熱誠、對客人的尊重,實在值得嘉許,我相信,只要能保持食物水準,勝手定會在不久將來設立分店。

烏冬是好吃, 但同樣很小的一份。

說真的, 吃完後不是很飽, 很有衝動去旁邊的burgeroom再買個burger吃!

嚟過兩次都無位,今日特登book定位都仲要等十分鐘,不過見到咁多好評,等一陣無所謂啦,越等越想試!睇完menu價錢都算合理吖,喺日本食Shabu Shabu都唔止呢個價啦!可能迎合香港人口味,湯底款式比日本多。有魚、豬骨、Sukiyaki、木魚湯揀,我揀咗Sukiyaki,個friend就揀咗魚湯。好快個菜盤同埋我既海鮮都嚟埋,味道相當唔錯,好新鮮!烏冬同平時食開嗰啲唔同,好彈牙!不過因為唔記得放烏冬之前加湯,搞到少少黐底 >_<"食完火鍋,再點雞肉串燒,牛舌和鵝肝。牛舌好好味!鵝肝就不過不失~聽個靚仔店員講話呢度仲可以包場!遲啲朋友要開Party都可以考慮呢度!v(^O^)v

睇頭條日報介紹一人火鍋,好似好好味咁,又見好耐無一大班人出嚟敘吓,所以尋日特登拉大隊去試!一坐低二話不說,就叫咗個魚湯(報紙話呢個好味!)...... 首先有枝豆做前菜,餐廳個環景好舒服。同朋友傾咗一陣,個鍋同啲菜就準備好!一見到個湯底奶白色,心一寒,因本人對奶有敏感,即刻問個waiter有無奶喺裡面,佢同我講可加可減,所以即刻放心晒!飲落都幾鮮!朋友就點咗木魚湯+和牛,佢話都覺得OK。不過唔知係咪隔嚟飯香,佢就覺得我嗰個好味啲!除咗Set包括既和牛外,仲叫咗一個A4牛肉既Side Order,好滿意!下次叫埋個A5比較一下先得!食完已經好飽,想試埋啲串燒。不過要留返下次。聽個Waiter介紹話啲串燒係一個Order一串!覺得幾好喎~~ 見到隔黎食緊條燒魚,好似好吸引咁!唯有等下次再黎試過啦!總括嚟講,啲食物Ok,環景都唔錯,值得一試!

首先有枝豆做前菜,餐廳個環景好舒服。同朋友傾咗一陣,個鍋同啲菜就準備好!

朋友就點咗木魚湯+和牛,佢話都覺得OK。不過唔知係咪隔嚟飯香,佢就覺得我嗰個好味啲!

除咗Set包括既和牛外,仲叫咗一個A4牛肉既Side Order,好滿意!下次叫埋個A5比較一下先得!

食完已經好飽,想試埋啲串燒。不過要留返下次。聽個Waiter介紹話啲串燒係一個Order一串!覺得幾好喎~~ 見到隔黎食緊條燒魚,好似好吸引咁!唯有等下次再黎試過啦!


總括嚟講,啲食物Ok,環景都唔錯,值得一試!
