When it arrived, I realised why - the meat was tiny, like a square of two inches by two inches. There was a bit in the middle that was very succulent, but the edges (and it was mostly edges) were plain and bit salty.

The salad was plain, especially the dressing.

I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I thought the coffee was excellent; strongly flavourful without being bitter.

Overall, only ok, but I would consider eating here again.

本來book左6:30, 不過我地hea得無我想像中咁耐,所以6點就已經到左La Bons。

上到去見到餐廳裝潢好靚, 環境好舒服, 而且陽光充足, 係我鍾意既餐廳類型。因為book檯既時候要求, 我地被安置係全餐廳最入而且靠窗既位置。

睇下個menu, 好多set可以揀, 而且價錢唔貴, 由$168至$2xx不等, 心唸呢個價錢係咁既環境食個3-4course meal又真係幾抵喎。$2xx個 set 個 appetizer 有個鵝肝terrine, 見係menu度, 個terrine 同成塊鵝肝既價錢都係一樣, 問waiter可唔可以轉, 佢話「D 餐已經set死晒, 唔可以轉, 所以咁先叫做set ........」
(噫, 亞waiter哥哥, 你講得又真係好有道理喎, 不過其實又唔洗咁串既, 呢個都係問題黎架啫......)

最後, 我地分別叫左安格斯牛扒set, 羊胺set, risotto set, pasta set, 另外散叫左3個鵝肝share。

首先係麵包, 暖粒粒, 而且牛油好香, 明知自己食量唔好, 如果呢刻唔忍下口就會食唔落之後既主菜, 但係到最後都忍唔住食左2/3個。

之後黎左個 appetizer, 係 parma ham, 不過包住既係菠蘿而唔係蜜瓜/哈密瓜, 食落有D怪, 所以最後我係分開佢地黎食。菠蘿好明顯係罐頭菠蘿, 仲要係倒左出黎沉清水唔知沉左幾耐, 淡牟牟, 無菠蘿味; 而parma ham好奇怪地亦都無parma ham味。

食appetizer既時候有個小插曲, 就係我地當中有3個發現個table setting有問題。就算唔係好正式既西餐廳, 都會知道左右手邊應該分別有2隻叉同2把刀, 出面個pair刀叉細D隻係for appetizer既, 而內個pair就係for main course既, 而上方應該有食甜品用既叉同匙。但係我地3個, 唔係得一把刀, 就係得一隻叉, 但係都係少左appetizer個隻。如果我係8點幾行入間餐廳既, 我可能都仲會唸係唔係之前隔離檯既客人拎左去用, 但係我地6點佢一開門就到, 咁即係佢地開門之前唔會check下D table setting啦, 不過 ..... 如果以價錢黎唸, 算啦, 又唔係D咩高級餐廳。

之後到鵝肝。宜家做緊特價$49.9一客, 仲以為咁既price一定係比細細塊你, 叫做比你過下口癮就算, 點知上到檯又厚大件, 不過個2塊麵包就略嫌薄同細塊左D, 不過塊鵝肝真係好香。

當我地仲享受緊個鵝肝既時候, 我個main course黎, 我見個waitress拎住碟野不知所措, 我就拎起面前碟鵝肝, 而佢又竟然真係放低碟main course, 然後轉身就走.... 而呢刻就輪到我拎住碟鵝肝不知所措 ....... 好彩我D朋友幫我...... 心唸:「乜唔係應該見到D客食appetizer食得差不多廚房先開始準備main course架咩?」再唸:「如果以價錢黎唸, 算啦, 又唔係D咩高級餐廳」

跟住朋友們既main course都陸陸續續黎到, 賣相又OK喎, 有D期待 ......

我既main course係個羊, 但係好奇怪, d羊用左2個方法上碟, 一種係成舊, 望落去個型態有d似鴨胸; 而另一種就切到一片片。但係我明明係要medium, 成舊上碟既就似medium-well多d, 而一片片個d, 就唔只係well-done, 直頭係over-cooked, 連咬都咬唔到。而係呢個時候, 我先發覺waiter無換把steak knife比我, 用把餐刀就切都切唔開 .....
食落去, 又無羊味, 都唔知自己係度食緊咩 ........

另外一個朋友既risotto配鴨胸, 個risotto over-cooked, 淋啤啤, 唔好話係risotto, 連當佢係絲苗飯食都嫌淋, 不過個味道就ok既; 而個鴨胸就乾曾曾, 朋友食左唔夠半舊就放棄左。

再講個pasta, 係龍蝦汁pasta, 有幾隻蝦, 雖然d蝦唔係好大隻, 但係就難得地 (用呢間餐廳既standard黎講)有蝦味, 個汁又濃又香, 而個pasta又煮得岩岩好, 唔會太淋, 又唔會太硬, 係個鵝肝之外值得一讚既dish。

另外4個朋友都係要左安格斯牛扒, 上黎openrice睇介紹話佢係招牌菜, 以為應該點都會有D品質保險啦, 點知, 2個朋友order medium cooked, 但係就似medium rare, 一切開已經成碟血; order medium 既朋友個碟就似over cooked多D, 佢一切開就已經皺哂眉頭; 另一個 order 左medium 既朋友個碟仲誇張, 外面係burnt, 裡面就medium rare, 食落去仲一陣苦味.....

見到咁既情況, 我地7嘴8舌咁討論, 起碼都 last 左3-5分鐘, 而有個waiter就企係我地張檯旁邊, 期間我不斷望佢, 而佢亦有望向我地, 即係佢聽到我地講咩, 但係佢就完全一D過黎了解發生咩事既意圖或企圖都無... 到最後我其中一個朋友叫佢, 佢先過黎, 仲好似咩都唔知咁, 叫佢換過, 佢就一面不情不願, 仲一句唔好意思都無

食完成餐, 實實在在吞落肚既食物寥寥無幾, 咬唔到既放棄, 苦既放棄, under cooked既放棄, over cooked既放棄 ......

本來對心太軟好高期望, 去到既時候仲唸住每人order一客, 但係experience過D main course之後, 我地覺得都係叫一個睇睇先, 結果證明呢個決定係岩既.... 佢個心太軟simply係一個焗熟左一半既朱古力蛋糕, 但係用既朱古力唔係靚既朱古力, 所以唔夠濃, 不過好在佢又唔係好甜, 不過每人一客...... 多謝夾盛惠啦, 雖然又唔係好差, 之不過就算唔使錢都唔會覺得enjoyable囉

全餐dinner, 我地講得最多既就係:「算啦, 唔好比佢個裝潢呃左, 咁既價錢我地用花園餐廳既standard黎唸就岩架啦」

所以各位行入去之前, 記得要同自己做好心理輔導先, 千其唔好比佢個裝潢誤導。要記住外表同內涵唔一定成正比架!!

烤羊扒: order七成熟, 上碟>七成, 不過都可以接受. 汁帶少少酸, 如果鹹少少會好d. 全碟最impressive既反而係團蕃薯泥!!

心太軟: 仍然保持水準, 好彩...

太耐無黎, 已經唔記得呢度既熱朱好唔好飲. 結果一上檯望住杯野咁淡色都知領左野...唉... 杯荔枝茶就唔錯啦!

雖然食物跌左watt, 但總有d感情分既, 仍然會搵機會再黎.

身光頸靚之餘, 看來是時候努力回勇了.

So I expected this to be similar to the duck confit I was after. 不是。他不是我想吃的東西,但味道也不算差, 所以我也吃了一點。有鴨的"蘇"味,我認為問題在於鴨的肉質本身。這個是大問題。肉質差,廚師的技術多靈光也沒用啦。肉質好,廚師yarp一點也能騙人。皮是脆脆的, 但炸得太厲害了。很evil 的。不過potatoes 挺好吃。加了點sour cream/mayo 來煮,放在焗爐裡,面頭有點脆。

halibut fillet with prawns + lobster sauce spaghetti
吃halibut 要小心。很難找一條令人開心的halibut (比目魚)。他的身很薄,不太多肉,而且有皮黏住,不喜歡吃皮的人會覺得很煩。Spaghetti 其實煮得很好,al dente, 不過我對龍蝦汁有偏見,因為我不喜歡吃海鮮。但我相信喜歡龍蝦的人會喜歡這個dish.

:好可能是香港最好吃的chocolate fondant aka lava cake. 這裡不多說了, 你要自己去試試。不過double-decker 要預先訂。友人很細心,訂了一個。天堂下來的。不太甜。心...真的很軟。

一坐底, 店員放下了前菜給我們, 那是調了味的蕃茄TART ,ok wor !! 一d都唔怪,

一如以往, 佢每晚都有6-7個SET DINNER 選擇, 我們點了2個set ,
前菜有黑醋汁蜜桃煙鴨胸, 湯是西蘭花忌廉湯, 2樣都好好味, 食完都幾開胃再去食主菜

主菜是炭燒羊架和(WA 個名好長的, 我怕唔記得都影底左) 是燒原隻去骨法國鵪鶉伴鮮露荀汁配意大利松茸野菌炒天使幼面 (足足27個字AH, 勁)

套餐是沒有跟甜品的,但一場來到,又豈能不品嚐這裡的心太軟呢? 就要一客配雲尼拿雪糕,才$33,真是便宜得發笑。心太軟外層夠脆,流心效果理想,朱古力漿濃郁,水準依然。要挑剔的是伴邊的那球雪糕,雖然夠大,但就雪得死實實,味道亦淡口,如果可以換上高一級的雪糕,就完美了!

餐飲要杯柚子蜜茶,但杯茶似乎有點澀。

昨天和boyfriend 到La Bons 慶祝佢嘅生日.我對佢地嘅服務非常失望.......原本打電話book位時已經講明昨晚係朋友生日, 所以要求order 甜品時幫我加蠟燭, 佢地答應咗. 到食完個main course,我boyfriend 行開咗, 原本以為係一個好機會, 我立刻向侍應攞甜品menu, 然後對佢講 "一陣我order 甜品時請幫我加蠟燭", 佢立刻回答 "知道gar la, 已經mark 低咗". 咁我就好放心咁等boyfriend 返嚟一齊嗌甜品la. 但當"心太軟" 送上時, 竟然沒有加蠟燭, 我非常非常失望, 但係又唔方便當住我boyfriend面前"發皮4", 只好忍住度氣, 繼續食 我認為嗰10%service charge絕對唔應該收lor, 咁小事都做唔到, 提佢又話佢知, 下次有friends生日真係唔好去呢度!!!

I went to La Bons Brasserie 1st time after they moved to GardenEast. I couldn't believe the taste could be worst than quick italian fast food. I went to La Bons Brasserie 1st time after they moved to GardenEast. I couldn't believe the taste could be worst than quick italian fast food. I am really disappointed as the quality cannot keep it before and the price is quite expensive. We have ordered the following

- Fried Goose liver – quite thin which is fine as it only cost $4X
- Clam chowder – so salty
- Tomato sause clam – the sauce is so salty and strong… it covers the fresh taste of clam
- the oyster soup – was ok
- Carbonara – so sticky and not creamy enough… I guess they may use too much cheese for the white cream sauce
- Lamp Stick – so chewy lamp stick and not fresh, I only ate a small bit .. and the waiter doesn’t really care about my complaint… no apologies or change to new one.
- Creme brulee – its creamy and tasty

Cost: $200/per head
