這幾天有點感冒,決定行過來吃碗越式河粉。這間店舖已開張接近半個月,而且評價也不錯。其實這位置已轉了很多手也是食店,希望這食店能繼續經營下去,但看它如此好生意,應該沒有問題。這裏的午市套餐,由 A-G +是日精選共9 款,另加6款特價小食,吃越南菜“生牛河”是必食之選,因為它完全體現了最簡單的食物,往往是最難做的道理,肥牛再加上鮮美的湯底,這才是最美味所在!今日就決定點選這個越式生牛肉湯粉。 首先嚐了一口清湯,味道雖不算濃,但也很鮮甜,主角牛肉夠嫩,吃起來不覺嚡口,其他配料也很新鮮爽脆,尤其是那清新幽香的香葉,令整個湯底的層次感和味道更豐厚。下次病好後, 我必來品嚐其他午市套餐。

Make a reservation at 12:30 during weekday for 3. When we are there at 12:35, the waitress (fat cashier may be) said table has already been released in 5 min?? (I know I should not be late but it's really only 5 min) and she even not dare to explain or what. Just said, Table already released. Take the ticket and wait as walk in. Since it's not easy to find another place in central, so we wait. oh.. my gosh. we, as the customer is like 'beggar' during the 30 mins waiting time. Keep on asking

Since it's not easy to find another place in central, so we wait. oh.. my gosh. we, as the customer is like 'beggar' during the 30 mins waiting time. Keep on asking us to move around with her impatient look. (come on, there is really no available space at that waiting zone and really want to ask what do you expect then??) Finally we got the table. That's a table for 8 and they just asked 3 of us to sit at the corner, ask another 3 customers to seat at the other corner. We tried to leave 2 seats in between and that same fat cashier is very definsive saying, you gals need to spare 2 seats for other customers.
Since 3 groups of people are sharing a table, with only one menu on the table. We asked for another copy then. Wait for 15 min and no one still passing us menu or water. I went out to cashier and asked that fat waitress for the menu then. Again with impatience voice and look : ok lar! I stood there starring at her and she finally asked another waiter to pass us water and menu.
Price is reasonable in Central, I ordered the special of day (chicken rice) for 60.. Food is very below standard together with this 'great' service. Three of us know that's definitely our last visit. In terms of the food quality, it does not worth having a cashier so 'inch'. Food at 芽莊 is way better.
Very disappointed and I really don't see why I need to suffer for these level of customer service and food. there are way more choices in Central and SHueng Wan.

we heard about this new vietnamese restaurant for about 1/2 year and finally got a chance to check it out. We ordered the signature beef noodle mixed with chicken and other ingredients, steamed rice vermicelli roll, fried and stuffed chicken wing and vergetibles. The presentation was good and the taste was good too. This restaruant did not charge you crazily while it's located in Central !! We will come back.

Amazingly, I didnt need to wait for too long on a working weekday at lunch time. I arrived at 1:00 pm and I think I waited for 15 minutes before I managed sitting down.I had the same old raw beef noodles and spring rolls, which tasted as good as the 1st time i tried.I finished eating by 1:45 pm. And by that time, tables were already clearing up. Those who have longer lunch hours can come later without the need to wait.

The set lunches looked like an easy place to start so I chose the cold vermicelli with spring rolls. Being offered a hot drink with the option to upgrade to a cold drink for extra money tells me clearly that this is made-for-HKies a restaurant: 西人 never had parents forbidding them from taking cold drinks with meals.

My noodles/spring rolls came quickly and were nicely presented. Plenty of sauces available on the table. The noodles and spring onion garnish tasted fresh, and the spring rolls were crispy without being greasy. There was also a judicious use of Five Spice mix or maybe ginger powder in the spring rolls to give them an extra bit of sweetness. I found that quite appealing.

Since I came just after opening time, I qualified for the early bird discount (-15% if you clear out before 12:45). I think $47 including service charge for a decent bowl of noodles and spring rolls plus iced lemon tea is good value for the location and quality of the food. Contrast this with that other Vietnamese place on Wellington St. where the lines are always long...

看到这家新开的店点评不错,就想过来试试。提前一天打电话订台,被告知fully booked. 只好中午早点冲过来抢位子。12:25pm到的,满了60%,有位子不过要搭台 (他们家大部分是四人台)。没有点套餐,选择很少而且只配一杯热咖啡或奶茶(价格相当于单点+5-8元),冻的要加3元。点了:品越招牌汤粉(49):馅料很多,有生熟牛肉, 牛腩,鸡丝。汤也满鲜的,芽菜虽然是直接放在汤里的,但很新鲜。河粉也漫滑的,而且分量很大。 鸡丝汤粉(38):朋友说味道很好。鲜虾莲藕沙律:很特别,莲藕更像笋,很脆,鲜虾很大很新鲜。 酸甜微辣,很开胃。环境还是不错的,装修简洁明了,不会太急迫。不过12:30以后一直大排长龙 (楼上餐厅,要在门口或楼梯等)。服务不够好,好像不够经验。

只好中午早点冲过来抢位子。12:25pm到的,满了60%,有位子不过要搭台 (他们家大部分是四人台)。

没有点套餐,选择很少而且只配一杯热咖啡或奶茶(价格相当于单点+5-8元),冻的要加3元。

点了:
品越招牌汤粉(49):馅料很多,有生熟牛肉, 牛腩,鸡丝。汤也满鲜的,芽菜虽然是直接放在汤里的,但很新鲜。河粉也漫滑的,而且分量很大。
鸡丝汤粉(38):朋友说味道很好。
鲜虾莲藕沙律:很特别,莲藕更像笋,很脆,鲜虾很大很新鲜。 酸甜微辣,很开胃。

环境还是不错的,装修简洁明了,不会太急迫。不过12:30以后一直大排长龙 (楼上餐厅,要在门口或楼梯等)。

服务不够好,好像不够经验。

附送有辣椒粒 + 青檸, 青檸有d比較乾, 榨唔到汁的, 而當我地叫佢俾多d辣椒粒時, 另一個阿姐既反應竟然係:「下, 呢度好多喇喎」
唉...多唔多係個客決定架嘛...真是的...


檸茶少甜做到足, 而且ok大杯, 唔錯

整體黎講係ok的, 真係禮貌上差少少...

見佢裝修幾靚, 至少坐得舒服, 有窗口位, 下次booking要試下坐!

Today, as usual going out for lunch with my colleague and we decided to try this place out.The food and services weren't good at all.Food: we ordered set lunch, curry beef with rice and roast chicken with rice. Curry was too oily, rice was too dry and tough. It was so cold today so I decided to eat some hot hot noodles for lunch. I suggested Japanese ramen but my colleauge chose Vietnamese.This was my first time here. If you want a table at lunch time without making a booking, you should go there after 1:30 pm. When we arrived, people were starting to leave but it was still pretty chaotic. This was my first time here. If you want a table at lunch time without making a booking, you should go there after 1:30 pm. When we arrived, people were starting to leave but it was still pretty chaotic. The restaurant was really packed and there were tables everywhere! We only had to wait for the waitress cleaning up the table as people were starting to leave.

We both ordered the raw beef noodles plus springrolls, plus coffee. Surprisingly, the coffee came first and it was instant coffee.

When the noodles came, another suprise. I tried the soup first and it was delicious! It actually tasted like real Vietnamese noodles soup base! Downed the entire bowl of noodles.

As for the springrolls, it was alright. Getting real Vietnamese springrolls in Hong Kong is also impossible, so I had no expectation.
