Le Salon是法文「客廳」的意思,由本地星級名廚鄭相賢夥拍The Drawing Room主廚Roland Schuller創立,為香港帶來別樹一格、一屋兩體的餐飲概念:包括法式經典餐廳及麵包店。前者主打法式名菜如法式燉雜燴Pot-au-feu、馬賽鮮魚湯Bouillabaisse及紅酒燉牛肉Beef Bourgogne等;後者的法式牛角酥、法式華夫餅及巴黎薄餅等以頂尖法國材料每日新鮮製造,牛角包共有栗子、朱古力、焦糖及Tiramisu四款味道以供選擇。 continue reading

這所餐廳的牛角包一向熱賣 每日不同時段新鮮出爐 這天和友人一試高茶 $298/2 (10% charge) 除了三層下午茶架 還送上牛角包和鬆餅 這個價錢說真期望不大第一件試的是提子scone熱呼呼的鬆餅十分鬆軟 不乾 配上clotted cream and jam 令我想把友人的都吃掉沒有誇張 這個scone質素可比上酒店牛角穌也是熱的 好像是tiramisu味 一咬下去 餡料都迫出來 大讚!底層要推介的是beef burger 雖然小小的 卻很好吃中層有parma ham toast 和小冷盤 內裡有蝦和沙律菜 質素一般頂層甜品 brownie很合我口味 莓tart亦是至愛 加上一杯的mango pudding 整個tea實在心滿意足這樣的價錢 服務和質素 還有靚景sofa位 是值的 店子雖小卻很整齊漂亮 一定再來 continue reading

I have always heard a lot about the croissants from Le Salon. Nonetheless I rarely had chance to give it a try since usually I come to Causeway Bay to dine, which I either have to reserve space in my stomach for the coming meal or I am simply too full to stuff another chunk of starch inside afterwards. The best thing about working in Causeway Bay is that there is just so many lunch choices available! For which you simply will not die of hunger just because you have not made a reservation like in Central! On one of the blue, rainy working day, I decided to pick up a warm croissant and a coffee to light up my afternoon.In terms of croissant, there are 3 sweet, 2 savory and 1 plain versions available. You may also grab their signature cream-filled croissant with a large coffee for just HK$45. After paying at the counter, I was first given my croissant. Coffees are freshly brewed after orders are made. Once the coffees are ready, they would call the number on your receipt so you may collect it from the counter.I have chosen a tiramisu cream-filled croissant and a large latte. The croissant was only slightly warmer than room temperature and no one should really call it hot. Just before it cooled entirely, I just could not resist to take a bite of it before I got my coffee. The croissant was topped with sugar, biscuit crumbs and cocoa powder. It was buttery, with a slightly flaky, crumbly exterior. The inside of it was very moist but at the same a little stringy. The tiramisu cream only became apparent when half the croissant was swallowed down. Nevertheless the cream was not overly sweetened. It was light, airy, and tasted just like whipped mascarpone together with the espresso. Don't try looking for hint of alcohol is my advice. The latte was pretty disappointing. For a latte, the coffee was simply way too strong and bitter to me. The milk was overly steamed that it was too hot and that silky foam was absent. Luckily the shape sour taste from coffee was not so significant.In short, I believe the croissant was not bad but a little over-rated. If we are only talking about the pastry itself, croissants from Urban Bakery were definitely more surprising and outstanding with its ultra-crunchiness. They are also more fairly priced. 在希慎商場中,一直有兩所專售牛角包的店舖,兩者一出道,經過一番龍爭虎鬥,人們的一輪風麾追棒後,熱潮又看似平伏了。小妹自認也是個喜歡試新食物的胃食妹,但太怕排長龍浪費時間,所以很多時候也等到熱潮退卻後才來潮聖。今次就趁機來試來自Le salon的牛角包了。這店餐廳分為兩部份,內裡一邊是享用高級法國菜,論環境、氣氛、情調一流,更有下午茶高茶供應,不過價錢當然不便宜,像我們這些低產人士當然不能時時來這用餐吧!相反,另一邊箱則是專售牛角包及咖啡輕食的cafe,價錢相對上中規中矩,地方不算大,但環境尚算開揚,大概有五、六張圓桌,幾乎每張都撐著太陽傘,當中有兩張旁邊更擺放單車做裝飾,整個設計很像外國街路寫意的風格。加上平日的關係,人流不多,確實可以寧靜輕鬆地享受悠閒的一刻。是日的牛角包由下午一點鐘開始,每小時都有牛角包新鮮出爐,每日共出四次,要一吃新鮮熱辣辣的牛角包就要趁下午搭正時間來了。出爐後的牛角包全都放在保暖爐內,一共有四款口味,分別是焦糖、栗子、朱古力和Tiramisu。Le salon同時亦推出下午茶優惠,一件牛角包配大杯裝飲品只售$45。牛角包味道可選朱古力、Chestnut和Tiramisu;飲品則可選普通咖啡、Latte、Cuppuccino及花茶。相對之下,大杯裝咖啡在其他同類型的商店所售的便宜,亦較化算。每個牛角包同樣用黑色紙袋袋著,設計簡約精緻,不過由保暖爐放在室溫不久,牛角包的油份已滲出到紙袋的外面。畢竟要做到如此酥化的質感,牛油的份量也一定不少。頓時少女的自卑心作祟,看來今晚要多做半小時的「鄭多燕」來還債吧。牛角色比起平常吃到的差不多大,但一拿上手,牛油香撲鼻,牛角色層層酥化,酥而不膩。咬下去已吃到沙沙聲非常脆口的質感,但弄得滿咀和枱面都是酥皮的碎屑,十分論盡。幸好我們只是堂食,如果拎走的話,一邊行一邊食,必定醜態百出了。Tiramisu($23)我倆五時多的時候才來,雖然吃到的不是新鮮出爐的貨色,但牛角包全放在保暖爐內,仍能保持餘溫。Tiramisu面頭潵上可可粉和糖霜,立即增添不少艷眼。饀料集中在牛角包的中央,咬一口,食到的是濃濃的咖啡和朱古力混合體,而不是預期中應有的mascarpone cheese般芝味或甜酒味,不過這穩當的配搭,飽滿四溢地呈忌廉狀,味道相當討好,香滑誘人。Chocolate($23)再試了chocolate餡料的牛角包,表面潵上果仁碎和砂糖,酥香之中帶點杏仁脆香。夾心的朱古力流心同樣澎湃豐盛,顔色帶點栗子棕色。試一口,味道不如牛奶朱古力般甜漏,反而嚐到一點點海鹽的咸味,為朱古力這平凡味道增添了一點創新的風味,吃完一整個也不覺得甜滯吧!不過餡料全都集中在牛角包中央,味道和酥皮的比例顯得不平衡。吃到中央,餡料多而酥皮少,變相有點甜過頭。若能做到饀料平均分佈在整個牛角包就更完美無遐了。飲品方面,小妹點了Latte。因為事前員工主動地詢問堂食還是帶走,我以為說了堂食,店員便會用瓷杯裝上咖啡來。怎料結果還是換了紙膠杯盛上,與預期中有落差。呷一口,咖啡甘苦味强烈突出,不得不下一包咖啡糖去平衡一下;不過一打開杯蓋,純白色心形的拉花還依稀存在。真想不到用紙杯盛者,還能做出拉花來,不知是有心無意,還是順便了,總之小妹看見這拉花,就已暖在心頭了。Latte的奶泡相當豐厚細密,與咖啡糖調和後,輕甜中帶點微甘,入口順滑不搶喉,水溫亦恰到好處。這一一杯裝的咖啡一個人喝下去有點吃力,但實在超值呢。P.S||| 往往以為緣份到,自己曾很努力投入去愛;但清楚過後原來只是一場誤會,留下的就只有我一個;愛情,永遠只有一個答案的選擇題,但原來都不容許我去決擇。你要我讓時間給你,原來也是叫時間讓我主動放你走。 continue reading

本人向來來到Le Salon都是吃最有名牛角包的。今次特地前來一嘗它看似十分高貴的high tea set for two 因為第一輪的人已坐滿了,所以要等到約4:30才能再來排隊等候。那就提提大家,最好準時等3:00p.m 頭一批入坐,其實4:30是服務員當時預比我的,因他也不能確保4:30客人會否準時離開,亦要客人自己一路站著等候,未有提供訂枱服務。今天的我3:30p.m來到,剛剛坐滿了,失望地,隔著玻璃看著吃得津津有味的人,很不是美兒呢。撓了Hysan一圈,又逛過樓下super market以後,終於有位子,OUR TURN!我們坐在窗邊位子,對於'上機食先'的人來說這位子是最有利的啊! 背後是高聳入雲的大廈,一望無際的天空,實在很舒適,加上店裏雖位子不多,但環境清靜且簡單,在hysan裏確是個不錯的落腳點。論食物,一開始其實未有抱特別高期望,一直以來也是覺得Le Salon賣點是流心牛角包和西餐,未聞甜品的水準。一試底層食物,竟真的讓我有點喜岀望外,素質味道各方面亦很不錯啊。因為事實上是上個月用餐的事,本人未能作岀對食物再仔細的評價,只記得牛角包還是一如既往的好,即使拍了不少照片,牛角包依然是一口咬落去的鬆脆,而且還保持著微暖的溫度呢。吃過牛角包後其實以飽了五成了,餘下的,就是細細品嘗甜點的時間了。每樣甜點都別具特色,令人好幸福好滿足說真的Le Salon的高茶也沒甚麼好挑剔了。良好的服務態度和高品質食物,待客有誠意加上舒適窗邊環境等等,還能求甚麼呢? continue reading
