We went to this restaurant for lunch yesterday. You would have passed by this restaurant without knowing as it is hidden in a downslope terrace accessible via a small staircase. Food was very good and ambience was good. We had smoked duck, breaded portobello, cauliflower soup and beef. All good. Portions were large as served with a lot of fries.  Homecooked style. Recommend for lunch.

Quiet on a Friday evening although there were people drinking by the open area. Food was very disappointing, not real French food, ingredients were not fresh and good, very typical "western" restaurant, mediocre food and poor service.  Wine was expensive but poor.

Went there few days ago with my wife, It was my wife's birthday
Actually it's kinda crowded for a weekend evening luckily my colleague made the reservation for us in advance
We took the cold cut platter, burgundy beef, fish of the day
This restaurant has a good wine menu as well, mostly French wine
Price isn't cheap at all, but quality is exceptional
The staffs are nice
Although we didn't order much since we had a late lunch that day so can't have much during dinner
But they still friendly
I told the staff it was my wife's birthday and they arrange the dessert with written happy birthday to her with chocolate pen
I would definitely recommend my friends to visit again.

Great food, super service, nice environment. The first "real" french restaurant i tried so far in hk: You don't ask for bread, it comes with your meal. Waiter/waitress can speak french. Food actually taste what it should taste. The boeuf bourguignon is dope!!!

We shared two quiches with crab meat and one deep-fried dumpling with pork and vegetables as starters. Though the dumpling was not bad, it was not as good as the quiche which was light and soft in texture and had the flavour of seafood.

For main dishes, one of us chose pan-fried cod, while another friend and I both picked braised beef with French fries. My friend said her fish dish was well cooked and the cod was fresh. Our braised beef was quite nice too. It's tender and had the flavour of red wine. The French fries were also crisp, and not greasy at all.

另點了一支Chateauneuf du pape - chateau maucoil 2008 ( HKD 790 ) ,是老闆推介的,wine 是我喜歡的full body,味道非常濃郁但我還是覺得價錢有點偏貴,如下次再來的時候我想或者我會選擇其他價錢低一點的紅酒。

結賬時還會請你吃糖果,誰說法國餐不可以帶有童真的?

牛肉,是一個法式的炆牛肉,剛放上檯未進食已聞到牛味十分香濃,入口肉質鬆軟,火喉十足,肉汁豐富,香甜濃郁,可惜旁邊的炸薯條就完全是地道法國家庭式出品,全無買相可言,更兼入口嫌乾,比麥記出品的還差,確是美中不足之處。
魚柳,是用新鮮的魚起肉煎成,魚肉本身十分新鮮嫩滑,但不知是否外國人煮魚真的不及我們中國人,這煎魚的火候略為不足,魚皮不夠香,調味也嫌過淡,兼且魚肉尚帶骨,入口除了魚肉嫩滑可取之外,其餘真的未算合格。

甜品,法式的蘋果批,賣相不算太美,但勝在即做,熱力十足,那種冷熱相交的口感十分令人受落,甜味也十分適中,沒有過份。
最後,令我們非常意外地驚喜的是由店家送上了一大樽軟糖供我們免費隨意食用,我雖不太嗜甜,但由於色彩繽紛,十分吸引,也試了兩粒,軟糖不太甜,有噬口,作為整個晚餐的終結,十分美滿。

自之前一個人來午餐後,便喜歡上這裡的寧靜和那home cooking 的味道,這次便帶著同事一起來。頭盤炸白身魚配雜菜沙律,打開了精彩的序幕。(好像有點誇張)炸後仍保持嫩滑,又十分香甜,非常美味。主菜選上了煎比目魚配蘑菇意粉,魚身以麵包糠包裹了才煎,有種香脆的口感。但意粉更出色,剛好是Al dente, 而且橄欖油份量很準確,每條都包裹到,而不油膩。甜品點了兩款一起分享,蘋果批配雲吞拿雪糕,和朱古力布朗尼配濃濃朱古力醬。蘋果批非常香,亦十分甜,真的是甜度十足。而朱古力布朗尼比較硬身,但甜度卻剛剛好,配上朱古力醬更香濃。如果喜歡小妹寫的/拍的,不妨到小妹的Facebook page 支持一下吧。

The food were all made with fresh ingredients, with special emphasis on the portion and flavouring, and the presentation was hearty and rustic (in a good way). We particularly liked the smoked salmon salad and the boeuf bourgignon, and were happy the chef could accommodate for one of the guest's hankering for potatos with sour cream.

After dinner, the candy jar was passed around with the bill, but we managed to latch onto the next table's jar before our bill arrived. Desserts were standard, creme brulee and molten chocolate cake, both tasty but somewhat eclipsed by the wonderful savoury dishes we've stuffed ourselves with earlier.

It was Restaurant Week in early August, Les Fils a Maman was one of the participating restaurants that attracted our attention because of their home style French cooking.  The promotion dinner menu ($328 for 3 courses) offered most of their specials.  Our starter was Baked Snails in wrapped pastry.  This was good though I would prefer it to have a bit more sauce.My wife took Chicken Blanquette as main course.  Delicious, truely home style cooking.  The sauce was great and we have to ask for more

Our starter was Baked Snails in wrapped pastry.  This was good though I would prefer it to have a bit more sauce.

My wife took Chicken Blanquette as main course.  Delicious, truely home style cooking.  The sauce was great and we have to ask for more to go with the rice.

My main course was Sole Filet in white sauce.  Well prepared and very good taste.

Our desserts were Chocolate Fondant and Pain Perdu.  Both were good and delivered very well the classical french style.

They wines that they offered by the glass were reasonably priced, the Cote du Rhone Rouge ($65/glass) and Languedoc Rouge ($60/glass) that they recommended were good.

Their service was adequate relative to the bristol positioning.

Overall, this is an approachable and friendly French bristol that you can visit frequently without worries on the bills.

this dish made my day! 魚肉非常鮮美,薄薄嘅魚片竟做出了兩層不同的口感。下面仿佛是略微蒸熟的,很鮮嫩,delicate,入口即化;上面煎香,激發出魚油的醉人香味。
個汁有奶油,以及不知名香料(原諒我西餐水準有限),奶油汁濃稠啱好,不會漏,香料帶出輕微鹹味。
旁邊配有大量沙律,有粗製調味,清新可口。
魚下面鋪墊了很多長豆角,吸收了魚油和奶油汁,而且口感清脆。

上面嘅焦糖系一層crunchy嘅layer,輕輕敲碎,拌合下面棉滑的燉蛋,質感在口中碰撞,別有一番滋味。
