每次搭巴士經過這條街,都被這間餐廳吸引住視線,因為鋪面望落開揚和新束束,與周邊的舊 鋪形成對比;單憑外觀覺得這是一間西式café,今日去北角順道試下這間鋪頭。入到去才發現 是一間售買酸種麵包的鋪頭,是輕食café。餐廳設計以簡約和綠色為主,近入口擺放一列麵包櫃,再過小小是收銀處,收銀後是一個好大 的開放式廚房(餅房),可以見到麵包師傅在工作,而右手邊一列就是枱和坐位。找好坐位後就去買東西吃,餐牌上約有7至8款選擇,價錢走高檔路線,80%都是接近$100但沒有飲品跟,出面以這個價可以吃一個意粉套餐仲有餐飲,但這裏只是麵包而已。最後選了黑麥酵母麵包配煙三文魚和牛油果配水煮蛋($108),付款後會有一個取餐機仔比你, 收到通知後可去取餐,亦有白開水供應可自取。麵包口感較乾身和硬,但配上煙三文魚、牛油果和水煮蛋這幾款配菜吃很不錯,能夠中和麵包 的乾和硬,但如獨立吃這些酸種麵包就比較寡了。現世代以健康為主,酸種麵包是天然發酵和無添加的麵包,所以價錢略貴,間唔時食下是可以的,因為健康的食物和食材還有很多的選擇。

麵包口感較乾身和硬,但配上煙三文魚、牛油果和水煮蛋這幾款配菜吃很不錯,能夠中和麵包 的乾和硬,但如獨立吃這些酸種麵包就比較寡了。


現世代以健康為主,酸種麵包是天然發酵和無添加的麵包,所以價錢略貴,間唔時食下是可以的,因為健康的食物和食材還有很多的選擇。

Recently I’ve been hooked with the Levain bakery sourdough. Yup, I had it for breakfast, lunch for one week then next week I had home breakfast coz I bought some back.For breakfast, they had the combo with jam and butter, plus a coffee. Recently I’ve been hooked with the Levain bakery sourdough. Yup, I had it for breakfast, lunch for one week then next week I had home breakfast coz I bought some back.


For breakfast, they had the combo with jam and butter, plus a coffee. They won’t charge extra for alternative milk which is good news for someone like me who is lactose intolerant. Jam and butter is already the best of both worlds. Their Jam is homemade and superb. And we also ordered an extra cinnamon danish. They give you a huge tray for the breakfast which psychologically made it extra hearty. You have to have sweet after savory. I would need a separate post for lunch coz they look just as good.





For lunch, we had pesto sourdough with avocado and rocket salad, also a Parma ham and Brie sourdough, plus coffee again. The pesto sourdough was refreshing and they gave you different sourdough from breakfast so happened. The rocket with feta cheese and tomato was crispy and some greens will do you good.

Levain never disappoint me and this time continue even surprised me. Their pizza margherita was absolutely a masterpiece. Visually, it was pretty much the traditional pizza margherita you could find in Naple, Italy. Basically an Italian flag in front of you. The melted creamy mozzarella merged with the red tomato sauce. The red tomato sauce was incredibly fresh; created by meshed tomatoes. Tangy and juicy. Combining with the drizzled quality olive oil, it was a heaven combination. The sweetness from the tomato sauce combining with the mild dairy flavour from the mozzarella, the whole dish was so light and nourishing! Dough was rustic. Thin, crispy and a little chewy, just like a typical Italian pizza. It was an artisan pizza.

The shop owner even offered orange slices at the end. A very sweet move (especially during the flu season) to satiate my crave for sweetness. Sweet and fresh. Easily bite off from the skin. After that, he went to the back of the store and started playing piano.

Levain this time brought back the memory of my last visit in the south of Italy. Every dining experience not only about the high quality of baked goods, but also the love felt from the service and food and the memory recalled and built.

配搭的食材簡單亦無任何花巧之處,個人覺得十分耐吃,新鮮質素好就很美味💕Rye Sourdough 則擴闊了我對酸種包口感跟味道的眼界,跟平常吃到的外脆內軟大為不同,它們的SD口感界乎蛋糕跟麵包之間,口感(絕非味道)上有一丁點像磅蛋糕,質地濕潤且紮實,味道上完全沒有超市買到的黑麥吐司所帶的燒焦苦味,而是帶著很香的黑麥味🤍

不知道是不是歐式可麗露的原因,因為曾聽聞日式的才是外脆內軟(?)我個人偏好外脆內軟那種🙈

❥…整間店的vibe令我覺得是真正文青所到的地方,他們環境沒有如ssp一帶般充滿打卡的日式設計,而是瀰漫著貼地的歐陸風格,而且定期有駐場畫家到店跟活動,牆上亦是畫家的作品,有興趣更可以詢問購買;除此之外,亦有不少看起是真正供人閱讀的書籍,以及手作陶瓷作品擺放(˶ˊᵕˋ˵)

另外值得一提,在我們用餐完畢後,餐廳會因應當日情況,有位年紀偏大但十分親切的員工會送出製作麵包時過盛的水果給客人🫶🏻

我今次就試左鰂魚涌呢間Levain Bakery 我個日星期日係大概中午12點落單 之後餐廳2點幾就confirm左我個訂單 我就差唔多5點幾去到攞麵包😎佢呢間麵包舖啲麵包超級大個 我地食左兩日先食曬🤣🤣我自己最鍾意佢個朱古力利brioche 佢呢個個麵包質感好好 朱古力味好濃 而且佢面頭有好多朱古力碎 焗完之後脆脆地好好味🍫佢另外個芒果紅茶brioche都好有驚喜 佢呢個麵包本體好鬆軟 而且入面超多芒果肉 口感好好🥭個肉桂nuts danish造型超靚 不過我自己就覺得佢呢個食落比較heavy就咁食半個已經會有啲漏 我自己中意另外兩款麵包多啲🫢😂😂

u can see boss baking bread....nonstop.
only 3-4 helpers. in total.

food quality is excellent. their coffee is default doubled shot. portion very big. very generous.



i starting guess, their attitude and price is not
a business man mode. they doing that for real heart.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ will come back.

Restaurant was playing Italian classic music. The yeasty and buttery aroma combining with the coffee brewing scent were fragranced the whole restaurant. It was pleasing. 😌

Reading through their dine in menu, couple options caught my attention that I believe I need to visit few times to try out all😂 After minutes of decision making, we decided ordering their Turkey panini 🥪and feta cheese, avocado, seasonal fruits on sourdough 🧀🥑. For drinks, we got the classic black americano ☕️ and homemade masala tea 🫖

Turkey panini was unexpectedly in big portion (especially for breakfast). 😲 Definitely gave a wow factor on the size and the melting gooey cheese! The cheese pull was visually satisfying. 🤤 Focaccia was perfectly toasted with crunchy crust while melted cheese were crisped from the panini maker. It was indulgent! 🤤 Every bite could make a cheese pull! Thick layer of mild turkey slices with the sundried tomatoes matched perfectly with the homemade pesto! Light meatiness with a hint of earthy herby flavour. Every bite was absolutely amazing! Despite as a breakfast, it is a heavy one; serving with a cup of coffee will help cleaning your palate. ☕️

Sourdough were spread with fresh made homemade pesto! The fresh green colour could tell the basil freshness 🌿 Sourdough cut was perfect, just between thick and thin. Even toasted, bite wont be too crunchy to cut your lips. Pesto was flavourful, nutty and earthy. Absorbed well to the bread crumb. 🍞 They used pears 🍐 as their seasonal fruit for salad. Salad was refreshing and generous amount of feta was topped. Avocado was also perfectly ripe. 🥑 Whole salad was drizzled with olive oil, cracked salt and black peppers. Seasoned perfectly. The only flaw I would say was olive oil was too generous. Plate bottom was a bit wet while edges of sourdough were soaking and slight absorbed. That side of crust was then a bit wet and oily. Overall, a very good dish! 👍🏾

Staff was sweet to ask if customer personal preference on coffee flavour. I picked my to-go nutty flavour. Americano indeed a quality one. Just from its smell, it gave you the healing feeling. It was lovely to start your day with a cup of good coffee and some indulgence. 😌 Homemade masala tea was absolutely recommended! Generous spice were used. Chai tea base was strong with homemade spice mix sprinkled. It was warming. Not too milky that its own masala flavour and gingery taste remained. Even finishing the whole cup, the after taste still there. A very gingery cinnamony drink that tasted winder but comfortable to enjoy at all time. 🥰 🫖

I will definitely visit again for their other sandwich options! Plus their daily dessert special! Just too many goodness! 🤩

P.s Noticing one of their uniqueness was that they have a piano for public. I could only remember those cafes from Europe I visited having a piano for customers entertainment. It was thrilling to enjoy the deliciousness with some secret talents playing their own pieces 🎹 🎶.
