Craving for something sweet after diner, my cousin and I visited Maccha House. We ordered two matcha desserts to share, the first one was this Maccha Warabi-Mochi served with Tea.Cousin recommended the brown sugar one, as you got a little bottle of brown sugar to top up the flavor of the warabi-mochi. And it was definitely a great call! The matcha warabi-mochi itself was awesome! It was very chewy yet somehow melted in your mouth. The matcha powder on top was legit to give a strong matcha flavor

Cousin recommended the brown sugar one, as you got a little bottle of brown sugar to top up the flavor of the warabi-mochi. And it was definitely a great call! The matcha warabi-mochi itself was awesome! It was very chewy yet somehow melted in your mouth. The matcha powder on top was legit to give a strong matcha flavor to the dessert. The brown sugar worked its magic in adding a bit of sweet sensation to the dessert.

This set brought us so much fun and joy as we got to prepare the green tea ourselves from the matcha powder! Pour tea, whip whip whip. You should try it yourself! As for the dessert itself, it was plain dumpling balls with red bean paste. The dumpling balls, red bean paste and matcha went so well with each other! No wonder matcha and red bean always go hand in hand on Japanese dessert menu.
I highly recommend Maccha House to you if you are a matcha lover! It’s a shame that I discovered it so late after the branch in Kowloon Bay closed…I would definitely like to visit again for their main dishes!
