Had lunch with my family there just for the sake of the name"麥奀雲吞麵世家", but it was totally disaster. The portion sizes( compare to other similar restaurants in HongKong) were SO small that we( including my children, the smallest is 4) all felt stunningly unbelievable. AND also the prices were so expensive in my view( at least $50-$60 for just a so small bowl of 雲吞麵???). I don't mean it was just expensive, I mean it was totally not worthing in my view( I had been to 池記雲吞麵家 many times, 池記雲吞麵家's food were extremely worthing when you take into the account of the quaulity , although the prices and portion sizes were more or less the same). I live in Kowloon, we went there on the Chinese New Year's Eve just to go to Victoria Park to take a tour at the Flower Market there. We had no idea of what to eat there, we went in that "麥奀雲吞麵世家" to eat just because it was so famous from our impression , and it was the one we did not need to wait among those restaurants nearby at that time. But that made a disaster to us from my point of view. So never object the notion that " the more fully occupied restaurants are usually much more better, cause a lot of consumers have casted their votes by using the real money". Of course there may be a lot of people in HongKong think this "麥奀雲吞麵世家" is good, but I felt extremely dissapointing and angy after that lunch, that was my point of view.
