事先聲明,這次光顧的不是團購餐。朋友發起的聚餐,選了來本法食府,一家西式(法式?)跟日式食品 crossover 的餐廳。從燈紅酒綠的謝斐道轉個彎,走上樓梯,便進入這家寧靜的餐廳。寧靜的意思是除了我們之外,好久之後才見第二桌客人大駕光臨。(還有有朋友吃過他們的 set dinner 覺得不錯,所以我們就照樣點了(半年前的價錢約為$300另加一,以下菜色只供參考。)餐廳把燈光調得比較暗,因此照片質素麻麻。法式田園沙律是各式沙律菜拌油醋汁加數片白蘑菇,清新可喜。鹽燒雞翼、鹽燒冬菇、鹽燒雞腎都不是燒得很透,食材欠缺本身的味道,只吃到洒在表面的鹽味。鹽燒多春魚問題同上。松露什菌湯這個嗅起來的確是很香的(後來才了解到上面那層油是松露油),不過那味道也實在比較搶,可幸下面的什菌湯真的很濃郁,吃到顆顆的菇粒。法式煎豬扒是我點的套餐,用香草麵包糠裹著豬扒來煎焗,沒錯是很大塊(也許是有點過份地大),但肉質難免比較乾硬。甜品奶凍小小的一碗,在吃得飽飽的情況下,是一個甜美的結尾。全晚我們幾近包場,雖然食物水準可以更好,但這裡也不失為一個朋友小聚輕酌的地方。

I went with my husband and we used 2 BeeCrazy $88 + 10% tax vouchers.The food was terrible and the service, almost non-existent.The (supposed) semi-buffet was the waitresses (when they bothered to show their faces) bring us 2 portions of the item. The (supposed) semi-buffet was the waitresses (when they bothered to show their faces) bring us 2 portions of the item. The soup was not bad, a little heavy, and the dumplings were tasty. The salad was a sorry excuse for one, snails were just disgusting (I literally had to spit mine out).

There weren't many people in the place, but the food took ages to arrive. Our main course (the steak) was inedible. It tasted and felt like the meat had been boiled before grilling. The waitress (for lack of a better word) finally showed up to take out dessert order and didn't clear up the other dishes.

20 mins after ordering our desserts and our table full of dirty dishes, we paid the 10%, left and vowed never to set foot in that place again.

FAIL FAIL FAIL! Not worth it even with vouchers.

刺身order了20分鐘才到, 剛開始溶雪嗎?, 串燒要問佢先比order紙, order後又要等20分鐘,
話未開爐, 話得兩個人做野, 剛剛先完第一節, 第二節竟然未開爐同所有刺身未溶雪,
第一次食刺身要等20分鐘, 非常唔專業.
當時還有其他手持團購的客人作出對餐廳的不滿,
侍應不了了之, 還在其他客人面前高聲討論, 實在不能接受,
最後所有任食的東西都無再order了, 因為不太好吃, 再加上侍應待客的態度,
令我和女友連甜品和飲品都沒order就離開了.

位置唔得, 食物一般, 態度奇差, 祝餐廳好運

, 諗住第一次團購午餐,好興奮,睇到團購裡邊相片都幾正. 可惜當日之食品不理想. 鵝肝醬厚法包(法包唔夠熱同脆),龍蝦海鮮湯(有足龍蝦味,但海鮮欠奉)澳洲霜降牛排(奇怪尼碟牛排煮到七成熟,但唔熱的),法式焦糖燉旦(欠奉,由奶凍頂上),差點忘記熱咖啡(但唔熱,我要趁暖飲呢!).但可以表揚的,就是他們的服務幾好,態度及禮貌,我都好滿意!

我是第一次寫食評的, 這一次是團購, 以為都是一般啦. 點知喜出望外囉…

首先有一個好有禮貌的侍應問我要咩湯, 有龍蝦湯及黑松露湯可以選擇. 我同老公一人選擇一款, 當個黑松露湯還未放上枱, 但佢的香味已被我吸入. 真係好好味, 其實二款湯都好好飲.

再送上每位2隻的生蠔, 好新鮮仲好大隻. 好好味 !!

之後就任點串燒及魚生. 因為串燒只係一般的食物, 無咩特別好食或推介. 我只覺得三文魚頭好脆, 唔腥好味, 其它串燒係無咩味的. 可以不吃亦無損失, 留肚食以下落黎的野仲好.

魚生就非常新鮮. 單看它的賣相都唔只 $ 168 啦… 我覺得正呀, 我試晒八款, 每款都咁好味 !!

之後就到主角出場”澳州雪花西冷”, 一咬就有好香牛本身的油出左黎, 只有牛香無雪味, 正 !!

甜品係我的至愛 “焦糖燉蛋”, 又係要推介的比大家的.

食到飽飽當然要飲番杯檸茶消下滯啦.

我都不知是否从澳洲运来, 因为店员说今天生意太好, 蚝已经卖哂, 所以用三文鱼及油甘鱼刺生取代.
但我们跟足团购游戏规则三天前Book 台 (因为我是跟朋友食生日饭, 看见此店食评及相片都如斯吸引,
还怕book 唔到台, 所以我是一星期前预约的) , 现在你说贵 店生意太好, 我真是恭喜贵 店, 但为何不为已经
预约了的我们留下12 只蚝呢, 哪 3 天前预约是给你时间准备食材, 还是给你找借口

OK, 我们也不是来找麻烦的, 你没有蚝我们也没有办法, 所以只好接受用刺生取代.
登登~ 鱼生到~ 每人有两片三文鱼鱼生....是的, 澳洲生蚝 2 只只换来两片三文鱼鱼生,
很简单的说一片鱼生, 取代了一只澳洲生蚝. 你要证明你的鱼生是好宝贵,
还是要证明你的生蚝只有一片鱼生的价值 我不知道本身你要给我们的蚝是何等价钱,
但也不会只值一片鱼生吧!! 我们可真是被你的生蚝吸引才选这个餐的...

我们又只好找店员问是否只有这两片鱼生取代两只生蚝, 店员眼神坚定的表示, 是的, 就只有两片. 朋友再
问, 不是也有油甘鱼吗 或有没有其他的作补赏, 店员再一次眼神坚定的表示没有, 就只有两片三文鱼刺生.

我们真是无话可说....

鸡中翼 - 算是九款中最好吃
烧牛舌 - 食完真系大开眼界, 好明显是熟的咸牛脷烧成, 即系大家平时食白汁牛脷饭o个, 不是生牛舌烧成....可以说是舢舨充炮艇!
多春鱼 - 真是经过严选的手指尾size , 我从未见过咁细条的多春鱼, 真系 bite size ...烧得很乾, 好似食生晒鱼干
火鸡肾 - 睇返 Menu 先知原来是火鸡的肾, 但火鸡不是大只D , 肾都也大D 吗 但我们吃的都是比正常的还要小! 
     我食的时候还在慨叹这些鸡都是发育不良的.... 真是怪错了鸡....
粟米 - 我没有吃, 但样子烧得不错
鲜冬茹 - 好似烧了很久再翻热, 缩咗水咁
鸡肉肠 - 即系厨司肠. 大家都有试过烧o野食烧燶肠仔, 大家会叫朋友唔好食, 但呢度系照上碟俾你, 以为张无咁燶个边向上, 来一招瞒天过海....
唔系话唔俾你燶, 但系冇理由燶到炭咁都叫我地照食照收货呀嘛...
狮子狗卷 - 我没有吃, 但样子正常, 一串五粒, 实食饱你
三文鱼头 - 烧得不错, 黑椒的

主菜
香草法式烧鸡半只

鸡的肉很丰厚, 都几大只, 但味道很咸, 好似拜神那些咸鸡, 害我们饮了很多水
(此时, 我听到隔离台都话好咸, 所以很公平的)

澳洲西泠排

Comment:
我们点了两份, 一份五成, 一份七成, 但最后两份都是十成....真系well done.....
平心而论, 我会说大家乐的铁板爵士牛排更有水准.

卡邦尼意粉

Comment:
单是意粉的粗度, 就看得出是茶餐厅那些吸水太久,煮过头, "al dente" 只能用来形容旁边烟肉的硬度

甜品
云呢拿奶冻
Comment: 只有奶味, 吃不到云呢拿味

日本柚子雪糕
Comment: 很有柚子味, 这个很好, 出面也少机会吃到的味道

饮品
我点了冻奶茶
Comment: 若我用茶餐厅的水准跟你比较, 就是对 贵餐厅太苛刻, 所以不愿置评.

另外, 对于贵店的装修真是摸不着头脑, 就如你的团购单张中的卖点 "日本装饰加法国餐具,带来不一样的用餐体验"

今晚, 我也看不见楼上图片中令人流口水的美食,

此餐真是原价值 $398 吗 要由大家定论

團購嘅目的係等同廣告, 招徠新客, 本法如此對待 D 團購客, 佢地以後仲會唔會幫襯你呢?本法咁樣攪呢個團購, 結果係 : 英文叫 defeating the purpose; 中文叫 弄巧反拙。無論中文定英文, 背後嘅意思都係 "白費工夫" 咁解囉!

今次食評嘅結論就係 :

a. 食品份量縮水兼且個湯貨不對板 。

b. 本法嘅團購網照片, 靠唔住, 並冇參考價值。

c. 將團購客當作二等公民, 咁嘅做法係 defeating the purpose, 弄巧反拙, 真係白費工夫!

十月二十六日 (星期三)早陣子買的團購,以六十元的優惠價來吃牛扒在灣仔地段這個價錢尚算不錯!老公仔前幾日訂了檯,我先到達,店子地點不俗,唯競爭者較多本法 - 就是日本法國,但裝潢就似乎有點不倫不類莫非法國加日本就是如此?午餐已定了,不用選擇上面加了椰絲,所以飲起來除了南瓜,還多了一層椰香南瓜味道本身則不太濃烈份量剛好,雜菜夠新鮮爽嫩頗醒胃的前菜主角來了,伴上薯菜牛扒大過一隻手掌,牛味香濃唯似乎煎過了火位,肉質較實和欠了煙韌之感薯條比一般大條又厚,不夠脆口最有驚喜原來是甜品奶凍看來不太吸引,吃起來卻很幼滑!略沾芒果醬,帶口味道之餘又不做作~如果以原價百多元的價錢,這個午餐委實不太值得六十元算是一個合理的定價牛扒烹調時要掌握好時間呢~

奶凍看來不太吸引,吃起來卻很幼滑!

如果以原價百多元的價錢,這個午餐委實不太值得
六十元算是一個合理的定價

Starting with the interior... the mix of french and japanese seemed let down by the cheap-looking pinewood and mismatch curtains... the place felt like it didn't have enough design or character to be charming, but wasn't fancy enough to be fancy. I know this may seem unimportant to most, but I just mention it in case you consider this place for a date or similar; the lighting is appropriately dimmed, but overall I would not recommend it.
The service was a bit perfunctory; maybe it was the groupon effect, but it felt a bit rushed, and unfriendly - the wait-staff all unsmiling and mostly not bothering to look at you. Nothing bad, but not great.

The starter was a pumpkin soup: it was thick and creamy. Quite heavy, but if you like thick soup then this fits.
The caesar salad was mostly lettuce, with a few croutons and bacon bits. Its main problem was the dressing; it was too heavy, and had an artificial taste.
Main course was the sirloin steak. At first bite, I thought it made up for everything else (including the small side-serving of fries/veggies); it was served rare, tender and juicy. But the more I ate, the more I could taste the salt. It was overly-salted, which was a shame, as it was almost excellent.
Desert was a white chocolate mousse, which was light and fluffy, if a little bland.

Overall, it was okay with the voucher, but if I had paid >$100 for this, I would've felt dissatisfied.

I am quite glad this new restaurant has replaced it, the area no longer smells of thick oily fumes.

The pink veils on the windows looked quite girly and attractive from the outside.
The stairs leading up to the restaurant had silver covering on the vertical part of the steps.

Arriving at the reception there was a friendly person who led me in.
After I entered, I was greeted by another staff.
I told that staff a table was reserved for so and so [the name my acquaintance used when booking], however either that staff didnt hear or just blanked out.
I repeated myself again, but nothing seemed to happen, so I walked over to the table which had a reservation card on it.

Sat down and was given the menu.
I assumed it was a FRENCH restaurant because of the name Mayotte, however the décor could have been more French with more lace on the veils.
The décor was slightly Japanese with some decorations from the previous restaurant.
Mayotte is actually a French island in the Indian Ocean off East Africa between Madagascar and Mozambique.

When I browsed the menu, the food was quite Japanese which led me to notice their Chinese name 本法食府.
Since Chinese isn’t my first language, I thought 本法 sounded like “GAY本法" which is heard on the news all the time.
I thought it meant something about law or basic something.

Then after looking at the Chinese words separately, I got a different perspective.

Anyway, for lunch, the range was mostly Japanese, a few western dishes that I wouldn’t say were French, and finally the French style pork chop which is a must try.
The Grilled Sirloin steak with marsala demi gravy reminded me of Saizeriya because at Saizeriya they had chicken demi glace.

For the dinner menu, it fared much better, there was smoked quail legs!!
The last time I had them was from an online ordering food store, but they were pre-marinated under the brand Feyel, however the ones here are served with honey and truffle!!!
To be honest I prefer the a la carte, the Lunch menu is slightly overpriced and not as deluxe.
As well as quail legs, they had really swank items such as Iberico ham with cheese for $388 and Grilled Iberico pork chop and blue mussels.
The appetizer menu is also quite good too! It offers Foie gras and fig sauce and Jumbo scallop with 10 year old vinegar!
The soups on the a la carte seemed better too with a choice lobster bisque or black truffle cream soup.
The pasta was fettuccine and saffron cream sauce for $108 which is definately a brilliant choice for dinner.
I WISHED I HAD ORDERED A LA CARTE!

For the lunch sets, I chose the more expensive items because the other sets you can order them elsewhere, especially their soup ramen which costs $88 and with service charge on top, it is more expensive than Butao and Hide.
In the end I ordered the French style pork chop and Pan-fried snapper with cherry tomato and white wine sauce.
Both the above dishes had white wine sauce.

The set came with soup and salad, which was tomato soup that day and octopus salad.

Salad
This was quite nice, the lettuce was mixed with the Japanese vinegrette and the octopus has strong wasabi taste.
After finishing the salad, I felt this place was Japanese style because of the salad, plates and bowls.

Pan fried snapper
Same as the pork chop it had chives on top, and the skin was crisp.
The sauce was the same as the one used for the porkchop.
However beneath the fish were some potatoes which were delicious, it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
