Not only for the macarons , but also all related products like stationary , key chain , I even collect their bags and gift boxes ! See how crazy I am ! So , after all this boring sharing , way back to the high tea . Since Laduree high tea is a crossover version , this special theme successfully hit the spotlight , compare to " Lanvin X Sevva " , Laduree even gain huge population and fans support . Mo bar in Landmark Mandarin possess a special high tea stand that is different from normal one . Customers can took off the plate from the stand randomly and placed back the platter on the stand by their own . Such design is stylish and pleasant . I particularly like this high tea stand design , it even makes the high tea presentation more magnificent and eye - catching .

Even though it is not that delicate or adorable as Sevva 's one, Mo Bar high tea still got it potential to stands it ground . Let start my description from the bottom layers . Bottom layers come to the core high tea member - scones . It's better that they served mini one so we won't get stuffed easily . Mini scones are in two flavors , plain and with raisins. Both looks lovely with a golden coat . Although they didn't offer Mandarin 's signature rose petal jam in Mo bar , the scones' standard are yet impressive . Scones itself is airy , baked in a perfect timing to create a flaky layer but a soft buttery content . The yeast is impeccable so it won't be glutinous or stick between your teeth . Crispy exterior with moist interior definitely can moves you. Scones with raisins are more refreshing , particularly match well with the cotton cream . This is likable . Strawberry jam and orange jam obviously are not homemade one , over sweet , however the fruity hints are still strong with pulps ,I am here to suggest all of you to enjoy this gourmet with a small spoonful jam dazzling ,this match is the best to enhance the taste and satisfy your mouthfuls max .

Medium level come to salty savories . Overall performance is about average . So let's begin from the right hand side . Smoked Salmon Roll with Crab, Carrots, & Celery are colorful and look decent. However , the layers are a bit plain and ordinary . It's underwhelming as it tasted a bit dry and insipid . I can't really tastes any celery , carrots , either crab hint in my memories . Although the texture can't go wrong , the whole thing taste empty . It would be better if they can top more salmon to enrich the flavors .
Next come to Beetroot Foie Gras Macaron . This is very interesting and playful. I enjoy this savory in one mouthfuls . Macaron is more like like egg white crust . The foundation is extra flaky and it will melt swiftly on your tongue while the beetroot hint still lingering on your palate . Foie gras mousse is rich in flavors and dense enough, yet won't cover the beetroot hint . Both of them complement each other fabulously and successfully stimulate your taste buds . I specially enjoy this unique savory.
The middle one is Air-baguette Wrapped with Bayonne Ham & Camembert Mousse. Baguette actual is just the shape , it is extra thin and empty inside that simply fill up with Camembert cheese cream . The texture is greatly crispy and tastes delicious . The whole thing is very light , it would be better just if the content can be more fruitful and the Bayonne Ham can top more on the baguette . This snack looks empty and lonely.
Next we tried Duck Rillettes with Mushroom & Mandarin next . This tastes awful . It is like a baked bun with a filling content . I can't even taste any duck rillettes filling , but all I can feel is heavy and tasteless . This is more like a plain bun, texture is really dry and bland though. Although the content seems plentiful and plump . It is overwhelming .
The last one come to Quiche Lorraine with Smoked Bacon and Gruyere Cheese . This is glamorous with a passionate heart and character . Flower petal sprinkled on to dazzle the presentation , look more colorful. I think this is probably the best of the savories. The quiche lorraine is buttery and crumbly but not filling or heavy . The texture is flaky and crunchy , very arousing . Bacon and cheese is briny tasty , successfully evaluated the taste to be more palatable with distinctive layers . This is recommended in both taste and texture .

Here comes my favorite ! The upper layer is full of surprises . Start from the left hand side is Baba Rum Agricole. This look adorable on a spoon decoration . Tiny cake is soaked under rum , the alcoholic hint was not really strong but still give out a sprinkles . Although it maybe a bit soggy , but the style make sense and it is acceptable with great tastes. This is about average .
When it talks about Laduree , their rose flavor is a must to have a try , this signature were also included in the high tea set . Ladurée sweets are not just pleasure, but a philosophy, a nice way to approach our times with nobility. The macarons were needless to say , texture is impeccable with a chewy content , crispy outside , but flaky soft inside , it smells heavenly good , the tastes are excellently sweet with natural rose petal hint . Absolute heaven . This is above average.
Middle one is Pistachio & Raspberry Eclair . The white chocolate piece on top was almond-flavored , somehow , I think this is useless to add on top . The white chocolate is sweet and artificial, it can't help to improve the performance at all ,but even worse . The sweetness of the chocolate is offset by the raspberries , but the raspberries are not that fresh and fruity. The pistachio cream looks likable but isn't strong enough . The main point is I didn't feel the flavors working together at all . This is a waste with such graceful outlook .

Then went back to another macaron - Chocolate Platinum. This macaron is a limited edition flavor for the high tea set .Delicacies to be offered or to offer due to Laduree innovation and creativity. This platinum layer is eye- catching and enchanting . Bling bling layers are superlative . But the macaroon shells are filled with a citrus-flavored filling tastes unpleasant . Even though I appreciate the outlook and such daring combination . However , the chocolate filling is not strong even to stand out and the mandarin hint is a bit artificial . It seems that they don't match well , generally tastes odd and wired . But the texture yet up to standard .
Lastly come to Chocolate & Peanut Tart. This is the best . The pastry is a very impressive chocolate temptation . Look grand with macadamia nut . The macadamia nut on top gave out a nutty hint . Chocolate is dense and rich , not too sweet but blend harmoniously with the peanut paste . The whole filling is rich in favor , both tastes and texture certainly moves me . The richness is thick , but still maintain its mellowness and bitterness. This delicacies are exactly my cup of tea since I am a chocoholic ! I won't mind having more for this . This is highly recommended .

The entire high tea experience is delightful and extremely relaxed . Due to the tiny components , the high tea portion is much more light than I thought . Hence , I still got a room for the welcome snacks ! Haha , this is the main point to tell you about this ! Mo bar welcome snack is a self - service one , dinners can go to the bar where offers a wide selections of cake . You can grab how many as you could . For us , we picked all 6 flavors for sharing and we finished it all at the end. The cake is very buttery and favorable , while it's not to sweet . 6 flavors include green tea , carrot with pie nuts , chocolate marble , chocolate with pistachio , banana with cream and lastly lemon . Lemon is a bit over sour and tastes odd , carrot and pie nuts is healthy with chewy mouthfuls , but a bit soggy . Chocolate with pistachio is unique with such excellent combination , both hints matched harmoniously ,banana with cream is a big refreshment .Highly recommended the chocolate marbled and green tea flavors . Both are strong in flavor , chocolate is rich while green tea is mellow .

I picked my soul mates - Earl grey as usual. However , this is a big disappointment , especially Earl grey is always my favorite and only choice . The tea wasn't that mellow but bitter, even I didn't soak the tea - leaves for long when the staff refill for me . The tea standard is not outstanding or even just at the range of normal tea bags . The layers are monotonous with indifferent touches. The entire high tea experience will be more intact if the tea quality can be improve .

Mo bar is a chic and modern lounge that certainly a spot for youngster or causal talk. Evening sees the atmosphere change as MO Bar turns into a sophisticated nightspot with cocktails and dining. To add to the vibe, DJs spin sounds from Wednesday to Saturday. They also host live music and invitation-only concerts. Service overall is easygoing and attentive , I specially like the aunt who give a clear elaboration and asked us whether need to take a group photo . How friendly she is .

waitress 好用心咁介紹每一款tea set 入面既食物,呢方面抵讚!我首先食既係scones,雖然細細個但幾鬆軟,而且充滿牛油香,塗上cream 同strawberries 醬食,格外滋味。果然係文華既名物!

鹹點
紅菜頭鵝肝macaroon-第一次食唔係甜既macaron,鵝肝少少羶味,macaron 好脆口,但無咩特別,沒有留下深刻印象。
法式煙肉鹹批-個批幾鬆脆,富牛油香,芝士味幾香濃。
煙三文魚卷-smoked salmon幾fresh,卷內仲有d蟹肉碎同細細條既芹菜,幾脆口。
Air-baguette with Bayonne ham-ham 有鹹香,baguette 一如其他地方咁,少少chewy既感覺。

甜點
Chocolate Peanut tart-頂層有塊朱古力薄片,好脆身,中間係朱古力,底層既撻底幾鬆脆,整體朱古力味幾濃。
Rose flavor macaron- macaron 外層幾脆,內裡亦都鬆軟,laduree既macaron都係質素保證既!rose 既味道散發出淡淡玫瑰清香,有種淡雅既感覺。
Pistachio & Raspberry Eclair - 面層係杏仁味白朱古力,紅莓味中和左白朱古力既甜味。

整體嚟講,tea set既質素唔算特別高,咸點比甜點更好,有點始料不及,但係有一個寧靜舒適既環境同朋友食下野嘆下茶已經好開心。而且gimmick 上可以試到laduree 同mo bar 首次合作既tea set,算係好滿足了!

最上層上演甜品重頭戲,從左至右有:花生巧克力撻(chocolate & peanut tart with mandarin),香脆的花生粒中和了朱古力撻的甜度,愛朱古力之人必選; 接著是全球獨家的鉑金馬可龍,矜貴度不言而喻,但橘子和巧克力味道的結合沒有給味蕾帶來很大驚喜,反而大家都覺得味道有些過酸(ladurée chocolate platinum macaroon);之後有造型別緻的紅莓開心果法式泡芺,色彩繽紛很聖誕feel(pistachio& raspberry éclair);至愛當屬這款粉嫩嫩的玫瑰馬可龍,這款透著淡淡玫瑰香的馬可龍口感煙韌,不愧為Ladurée招牌之選,吃起來非常清香可口(ladurée rose mararoon);最後是小巧玲瓏的'baba' rhum agricole。

I came here on a rainy Sunday afternoon with 3 girlfriends for an afternoon of indulgence. I had tried to call ahead to make a reservation but was told that all reservations were booked until the first week of January! The line started to move promptly at 2:30pm and we were seated in the first round with the condition that we return our table at 4:15pm. Okay that's fine with us!

As we walked in, we passed by the stunning macaroon Christmas tree put up by Laduree and the hotel. It was silvery white as the macaroons were covered with a platinum layer. When I tell my other friends about this tree, they all asked if we can eat off it. I wish!

The afternoon tea set was $308 per person (plus 10%) with savories, scones, pastries plus a dessert buffet. Our tea set also came with Jing Tea or coffee. We all chose tea and I ended up choosing the Jasmine Pearls. My tea was sweet yet slightly bitter which was great for eating both savories and sweets. I love the service though as my tea pot must have been refilled 4-5 times automatically by our waitress during the course of our meal. Bonus points for service!

Raisin and Plain Scones (4/5) - we were advised to eat the scones first as they were still warm. The scones were really good as they were soft and crumbly. They were almost too crumbly though as the scone broke into pieces as I was putting on the clotted cream and jam. The strawberry and marmalade jams were rather ordinary while the clotted cream was the better choice for me as it was fluffy and rich.

Smoked Salmon Roll with Crab, Carrots, & Celery (2/5) - the roll was underwhelming as it tasted rather dry and plain. I could barely taste the salmon, let alone the crab, carrots or celery. The whole thing just tasted empty.

Beetroot Foie Gras Macaroon (3/5) - a very interesting combination I must say. I wasn't sure it worked though as there were too many different flavors. First you get hit with the richness of the foie gras cream, then the sourness and sweetness of the macaroon. It just didn't gel together in a way that was pleasant.

Quiche Lorraine with Smoked Bacon and Gruyere Cheese (4/5) - we all thought this was probably the best of the savories. The quiche lorraine was buttery and crumbly while the filling of bacon and cheese was rich and flavorful. I love the colorful spring-like flower petals on the quiche as it was so pretty to look at!

Pastries:

• Chocolate & Peanut Tart with Mandarin (3/5) - the tart was really heavy and sweet with thick chocolate and peanut filling inside. The macadamia nut on top was delish though.
• Baba Rhum Agricole (2/5) - Initially I thought it was a normal profiterole but it had been soaked in cane juice rum. The taste of rum wasn't strong or anything but the texture was unpleasant as it was like eating wet bread. It was the prettiest one of all but sadly I did not like it. 
• Pistachio & Raspberry Eclair (3/5) - the white chocolate piece on top was almond-flavored. The sweetness of the chocolate was offset by the raspberries. The pistachio cream wasn't strong enough and I didn't feel the flavors working together. 
• Laduree Rose Macaroon (4/5) - the classic rose macaroon at Laduree was just as I remembered! The macaroons were chewy and very sweet. I could almost smell and taste the rose petal in this.  
• Laduree Chocolate Platinum Macaroon (3/5) - a limited edition flavor! The macaroon shells were filled with a citrus-flavored filling which was supposed to offset the chocolate ganache in the middle. The chocolate filling was still too sweet though which made it hard to finish it all. The platinum layer was pretty to look at. After having the macaroons at Pierre Herme, this was underwhelming and unimpressive.

Dessert Buffet:
there were too many to list them all! We tried some before and after our afternoon tea set. 
• Apple & Basil Cocktail (2/5) - the green color looked exotic but only tasted like sweet water. The straw was also unable to suck up the apple bits. 
• Creme Caramel with Rum Raisin (4/5) - love the jar that this dessert came in! The pudding was smooth and sweet while the rum raisin was light enough to enhance it. 
• Lemon Cup Cake (2/5) - the cake was tough and solid while the frosting was hard.
• Blanc Manger Exotic Fruits (4/5) - love the mango bits and the pudding. The sourness of the fruit and the sweetness of the pudding worked well together.

• Tiramisu (5/5) - very light and fluffy! It was more cake-like than a tiramisu but still scrumptious to eat. 
• Strawberry Mousse (3/5) - a bit ordinary as the strawberry mousse wasn't as rich or flavorful to make an impression.
• Berries Tart (4/5) - the crust of the tart was very buttery and crunchy! 
• Chesnut Mousse (4/5) - the chesnut flavor was strong while the cake was light and smooth due to the mousse.

Conclusion - I was really looking forward to the afternoon tea at MO Bar but the savories and pastries that came with the afternoon tea set were in general unimpressive. The dessert buffet fared a bit better, but while the concept was alluring at first, we were simply too full after the tea set to fully take advantage it especially with the time limit on our table. I was only taking tiny bites of my desserts at the end. My friends could not even finish their dessert in the tea set and as the price was more expensive than others like Robuchon, I'm not sure this was worth it. To me, quality > quantity. Instead of offering more, they should work on making it better.

蜜桃鮮色奪目,即使和金黃色的撻身併在一起也很突出。撻身堅挺帶微微的牛油香,撻皮吃起來酥酥脆脆。提拉米蘇的酒味足夠,而且芝士層細滑,放進口後一𣊬間便化開,咖啡味在舌頭上繞了一圈才捨得離開。最後的貝殼蛋糕濕潤度剛好,質感鬆軟,只是雲呢拿味沒有很明顯。

鹹點一共有五款,法式鹹批 (Quiche Lorraine) 製成一口份量,芝士的香味卻絲毫沒有被減少,而且批皮香脆可口,也可以嚐到香濃的牛油香。煙燻三文魚卷 (Smoked salmon roll) 的煙燻味不特別重,內裡的餡料有蟹肉丶蘿蔔和芹菜,吃起來很清爽。以紅菜頭和鵝肝製成馬卡龍的餡料 (Beetroot foie gras macaron),鹹味的馬卡龍倒是第一次接觸。紅菜頭這款食材在澳洲算是常見,我也是這幾年才開始愛上吃紅菜頭。以紅菜頭製成的醬很濃郁,同時又能嚐到鵝肝的味道。空心法式麵包(Air-baguette) 的內層有芝士,但份量不多,故熱吃味道才能突出。以鴨肉切碎,再加入鹽放入脂肪裡煮 (Duck rillettes),但鴨肉肉味很淡,蘑菇的比例亦不多。

甜品有兩款出自Ladurée的馬卡龍,玫瑰和橘子朱古力口味,前者是Ladurée的經典之作,後者個人覺得橘子的味道過重,沒有很喜歡。開心果法式泡芺 (Pisachio éclair) 的開花果忌廉味道很淡,甜品自助餐的開心果慕絲水準更好,而且味道更濃郁。三層架的甜品中最愛的就是朱古力花生撻 (Chocolate & peanut tart),朱古力層和花生層相間著,濃郁中帶果仁的香味,是多款甜品中水準最好。
由於需要四時交還桌子,所以我們把三層架享用後便要立即離開,老實說這個安排對於酒店的下午茶來說是挺令人意外。畢竟下午茶是慢慢地享受,而不是單單坐下來吃完便離開嘛!

清新一點的可先吃smoked salmon roll with crab, carrots & celery,因加入了甘荀及西芹,變得平衡,清清爽爽的。另一款air-baguette wrapped with bayonne ham & carmembert mousse也給了我驚喜,一咬下去,軟滑的芝士從破口流出,很好味。其實整體的咸點味道都相當之好,作為下午茶,份量都足夠。
終於來到甜點時間,亦是大家期待的一刻。同樣地與咸點都是五款,當中有兩款是macaroon,粉紅色那粒是很多人喜歡的rose macaroon,清香的玫瑰味,甚是迷人。另一粒是鋪上銀箔的,名叫chocolate platinum macaroon,實則是柑橘味配朱古力味,而且柑橘味很強烈,有點不太喜歡。

以下便是當日吃過而值得回味的心水..
一件粉紅得要命之馬卡龍,顔色已奪取了芳心、入口甜甜香香
佈滿於馬卡龍內的mousse醬,亦做得不錯、不會過甜,很愛

一個頂可愛之迷你漢堡,內餡用上少量炒熟之洋葱絲作伴
踼走大路肉扒,改用雞肉作餡、煎得很是香口,只可惜如多加些少醬汁更覺味美

至於三文治卷更是個人賣飛佛...
薄薄一片青瓜背後,卷入三文治再而滿注三文魚mousse醬
入口清新之餘,每一口亦感受着三文魚mousse帶來之魚香滋味、實在滿足


蛋批亦是個人心水喜愛小件之一,滿滿的羊奶芝士混上小小菜蔬
再注入迷你小批撻之內,入口咸咸香香、繼而再放上面層之超迷你切粒三色椒
那份滋味,Woo...只有自己的味蕾才知得最清楚

其實之前同朋友都已經黎過好幾次afternoon tea, 環境樓底高燈光暗暗地幾好mood, 服務一流, 食物都相當好味, 通常會有d小糕點喺bar枱可以任攞, 特別鍾意朱古力橙味嘅蛋糕。不過今次JIMMY CHOO theme真係勁難book位, 幾經辛苦終於撲到位。一上枱我地當然狂影相, 因為實在好精緻, 邊捨得食呀~~ 高跟鞋, 手袋都係朱古力。雖然食得多朱古力覺得有d甜, 不過整體都好好味。下次有special theme要再黎~

加上scone,擺在桌子上的樣子
吃scone我最愛比較的就是奶油,
而mo bar的奶油十分清爽!完全不膩,害我一直抹了好多上去

但是scone太早上來,容易失溫,建議可以在吃完鹹點之後再詢問客人在上,
抑或是可以用一片餐巾蓋住,都可以減慢scone們在冷氣的吹送下失溫的速度

這是早前來置地吃的下午茶继Jimmy Choo后MO又与澳洲著名的水疗品牌Sodashi合作为配合主题 餐厅选用天然食材的元素加入下午茶有姜味的Macaron 青豆沙律的三文治 薄荷棉花糖 和坦都里乳酪脆卷整款下午茶 色泽清新 口味也自然但相对于之前Jimmy Choo 鲜明艳丽 口味丰富这次的食物并未有太大的惊喜之处但可以和很亲密的好友们一起平淡 也并不会影响我们的好兴致与你们相聚 才是这个午后的最甜蜜的事

和很久沒見的朋友們相聚其實我並不喜歡喝酒 也不明白為甚麼要喝只是這群朋友卻很愛酒 就配合她們一下吧我們主要都是聊聊天說說是非mo bar的環境清靜 十分合適因為平時少喝酒 都不知道該喝甚麼看到rose petal是這裡的signature drink心想應該不錯 所以就決定一試一喝下去就後悔了 有點像粉紅色那種藥水的味道反而朋友點了個有ginger的挺好喝甜甜的 又有一點薑的辣位 很特別早知道就跟她點一樣的看到其他人的食評原來這裡的afternoon tea那麼吸引改天一定要來試一下

最近飲番杯清清地既檸水過濾一下~
Other Info. : 我覺得以HK$260+10%既價錢食到一個TEA加甜品BUFFET係好抵。但可能我對佢期望太高,所以失望極高。再加上個日有幾個外國人食野,勁大聲講野同拍掌,唔知仲以為去左BAR。令原本諗住可以靜靜地食個TEA,最後都唔得。完全無左個重RELAX既感覺。

I almost feel like I am a sucker for this particular shoe brand right at that instance!

The resulting Arvo Tea was much more convincing than the looks too - the Savory items to me were spot on executed, I particularly like the sandwiches which looked like a purse. Understandbly, the dessert layer of items will carry some sugary marzipan for external looks, but at the end of the day they did impress in the visual aspect to. Less so in the taste department but I still liked the overall package and it was definitely a job well done and totally deserved to be the talk of the town!!
