拍照也拍了好一陣子我們就開動了!先吃是鬆餅!分別有原味與提子味的!是日的原味鬆軟可口同時吃下還帶淡淡的濕潤感,加上奶油與果醬同吃是錯不了呢!至少不像那提子口味的吃下有點乾巴巴,要扣分耶!

而忌廉芝士三文魚麥包卷外型有如一個小巧的包包,哈!就有如一個CAYLA Clutch Bag一樣啦!而包包上有不同色彩的窩釘則是上了色的忌廉芝士,佐以三文魚麥包卷,外型玩味十足,再加上這個組合本來就是錯不了的組合,好吃的麥包卷加上精緻的造型,那有錯的道理?

鵝肝脆餅相信是身邊人最愛的一樣食物之一吧!高跟鞋形狀的鵝肝加上了車里子汁置在脆餅上,也是相當討好的外型呢!吃下鵝肝不濃而車里子汁偏酸,吃下香而不膩但間接就令鵝肝不那麼突出,不過...仍是不錯的!

這次先由全份點心最具人氣的亮點牛奶巧克力高跟鞋先說吧!以巧克力作鞋身(也實在是相當的硬,正好是像真的高跟鞋一樣夠硬)再加上香滑的牛奶巧克力慕絲,不過我們都吃不到太多最後就只吃光牛奶巧克力慕絲好了!吃下不過甜,是令人滿意的出品!

豹紋手袋也是巧克力製品!這回就用上了白色巧克力上印上豹紋!當中的荔枝, 玫瑰以及紅莓慕絲味道清新,吃下這個點心精神為之一振呢!

熱情果芒果奶油珍寶珠賣相也確是一絕,不過照相的話可不容易!以味道而言熱情果芒果奶油富奶香加上偏甜的白色巧克力,平均了味道,雖不如豹紋手袋的清新但絕不會有吃下很膩的感覺!

抹茶水果shooter則用上一片巧克力糖片蓋著,由上至下就是柚子慕絲,抹茶慕絲以及士多啤梨啫喱!3者口感不一!柚子慕絲酸中帶甜打得香滑但較稀,是不錯的!而在中間的抹茶慕絲極為香滑富點奶香,是身邊人大讚出品!再加上呈半透明狀的士多啤梨啫喱,味道鮮甜,這個3色的shooter組合雖然有趣但就一點都不欺場呢!

相對不少高茶餐這裡的份量不算太多,不過吧枱位那邊還可以拿pound cake所以不會吃的不飽的!而水準方面是相當的高!2個人呷著茶吃點心閒聊真的很輕鬆!不經不覺就吃了2個小時呢!好一陣子沒有和妳坐下好好的閒聊了,這次還是只我們2個人的高茶,值得記念


是日每位也獲贈一本Jimmy Choo本子!(好像walk-in的客人就沒有了),相信也可以滿足到一眾來潮聖的粉絲吧!這裡的服務水準也尚算不錯, 而店員也在送上餐點後為我們介紹一下,也是交足功課的!

吃得飽飽也只是$260+10%, 是相當合理的價位,最重要是排除萬難才可以吃到這個店,這一回也真是俺出路遇上貴人了吧!最後也謝謝妳做我是日的高茶伴喔!如果今天I也能在我們身邊,那就真的很完美了! 下一回,我們到那裡高茶好呢?

最近MO Bar跟Jimmy Choo合作推出了特色的Afternoon Tea,當中融入了Jimmy Choo 2013年春夏系列中款式的設計概念於下午茶食物內,做出造型特別的鹹點甜點。一推出後已經被訂滿座,想吃的話也只好Walk-in。下午茶食物分開三碟奉上,鬆餅、鹹點三文治及甜點。先吃鬆餅,Raisin and Plain Scones with Clotted Cream & Jams,鬆餅每個不太大,焗得金黃色的,賣相挺不錯。入口帶濃郁牛油芳香,再可輕嚐到麵粉香,質感不太硬,但未算十分鬆軟,而且不太夠熱,否則會更好吃。喜歡把它塗滿厚厚的忌廉來吃,口感更油潤。甜點方面,每款賣相都精緻漂亮,最引人注目定必是這高跟鞋朱古力,Milk Chocolate High Heels,紫紅色的高跟鞋內裡是牛奶朱古力慕絲,質感柔滑,但味道就挺甜,外貌比味道吸引。Litchi,Rose & Raspberry Mousse & White Chocolate Bag,這個豹紋手袋小功精緻,白朱古力包著內裡是荔枝、玫瑰及紅桑莓慕絲,荔枝味道突出,味道清甜,略滲酸香,味道討好。Pink Chupa

除了以上食物外,還有些蛋糕供應,擺放於酒吧台上,以自助形式拿取。有朱古力、開心果、抹茶、檸檬、香蕉及蘿蔔共六款口味,蛋糕質感偏乾帶實,味道上檸檬及香蕉味就比較好吃。

Raisin and Plains Scones, Clotted cream & preserves: 8分, 首先講講三層架, 當然先吃的是鬆餅. 吃英式下午茶, 怎能欠缺鬆餅呢. 是日吃到的鬆餅, 熱度還算對辦, 焗得幾鬆脆, 牛油香突出, 塗上點點clotted cream以及士多啤梨果醬同吃, 更是美味. 兩款鬆餅中, 還是喜歡加入提子的那一款多一點.

Quiche with mushrooms & spinach seasoned with pesto: 9分, 另外一款令人有驚喜的就是磨菇撻, 除了碎粒磨菇之外, 還加入了菠菜以及香草, 是相當的香口, 而撻皮夠鬆化, 牛油香突出. 這客quiche, 或許賣相不算很特別, 但食味就是幾款鹹點中最有水準的.

Green Tea Mousse, strawberry jelly & yuzu mousse shooter: 9分, 到了pastries的部份, 也是賣相最為吸引的一層. 先吃的是綠茶慕絲, 士多啤梨啫喱及柚子慕絲結合而成的shooter. 顏色相當鮮艷, 綠茶慕絲的綠茶香是幾香濃的, 質感也夠細滑. 至於士多啤梨啫喱是幾鮮甜的, 配上帶點點酸的柚子慕絲, 三款食材配合在一起, 是出奇的匹配.

Pink chupa macaroon with passion fruit & mango cream: 9分, 接下來的就是熱情果及芒果忌廉珍寶珠, 又是令人著迷的賣相, 突然想起樓上Amber的其中一道名物鵝肝珍寶珠. 馬加朗的質感幾香脆, 中間的熱情果及芒果忌廉是甜中帶點酸, 相當開胃. 其實來這個時候, 吃這客珍寶珠, 正好消消滯, 也不錯.

English Breakfast: 至於茶的選擇, 我還是要了大路一點的English Breakfast, 是幾香濃的, 畢竟是日的陣容實在相當強勁, 喝口茶幫助消化實在是相當合宜的選擇.

至於雪糕的選擇分別有Black Currant sorbet, Vanilla Ice Cream以及Chocolate Cream, 黑加侖子雪芭質感對辦, 不會太冰, 黑加侖子的味道幾清新. 而雲尼拿雪糕也是幾香滑的, 不過朱古力雪糕就未算太濃烈, 稍為失色.

其實的甜點中, Apple & Basil Cocktail是幾開胃的, 而Creme Caramel with Rum Raisin未夠香滑, 還好焦糖味道突出. 朱古力撻就是水準之作, 撻皮鬆脆, 朱古力味道濃烈. 梨撻的梨是幾清甜的, 也是令人較有印象的.

而今日置地的飯 就相對 “粗糙”些 飯粒較為濕軟 入口是顆粒分明 也是飽滿 不過雞油的香氣並不重 飯粒也並未做到彈牙的效果

再來是雞肉 也是很鮮嫩 不過切割的手法並未完善 我們用上了筷子 叉子 和刀 最終菜把這份雞肉分解完畢 而試一口 水準也是不俗 不過始終是那句話 相對於Café Causette的那一份雞肉 始終略為遜色
最後的雞湯來說 溫熱而潤口 不過好似並沒有雞肉的太多氣息

非常清新的一款甜品 用的全是新鮮的蘋果片焗起 相對於Apple Crumble來說 甜度會低很多 有的 全是蘋果的自然香甜 焗熱后的蘋果撻 軟身蘋果肉汁飽滿 配上底部的撻底 也是好味 再有就是Vanilla味道十足的雪糕球 一口蘋果 一口雪糕 甜美加分

今日再來 一定是強力推薦 這個芝士蛋糕 與平日結實的濃郁版本不同 是輕盈很多的滋味 但又不會類似慕斯那樣的綿滑 是有質感 又好有香草特色的作品
最讓人無法抵抗的 是雲呢拿籽的奶香味 芝士蛋糕化在口裡 香草味兒就開始悠悠的飄散 讓人留戀
如果怕這麼大大一盤會太飽的話 還有邊上的紅莓雪葩可以中和 另外中間的一盤紅桑果和藍莓 可以由個人口味 擺上芝士蛋糕也好 取來一顆一顆吃也好 水果和甜品 本來就是親密的好拍檔


服務:平日常說 MO的服務好好 今日終於也得到一票姐妹的大贊 從一入門 就周到招呼 還未出聲 服務生就主動說 幫我們留心大一些的桌子

最令人驚喜的,絕對是它的咸點。比甜點做得更出色。輕輕放到口中,已感受到它的與別不同。例如吞拿魚酥。咬下去時,不論是口感或味道,都有豐富的層次感。可想而知,雖然外形相對簡單,內裡卻蘊含了不為人知的手工。而下圖中的小點心,是用青瓜作為主材料。清新、爽脆、怡人。出乎意料,驚喜之作。

突然,你發覺,與別不同的原因。如果平常吃到的好東西,稱為美食;那麼,今天我嚐到的,是食物的藝術。為什麼味道、造形、顏色、香氣,可以如此完美地結合?

第三層的鬆餅,留到最後。坦白說,它的鬆餅絕對不馬虎;但一眾咸甜美點在前,加上肚子已被填充,吸引力自然減低。
不過,依然是不得不嚐。為的,是文華獨有的玫瑰醬。用玫瑰醬沾鬆餅來食,是不可錯過、感覺嶄新的另一種味道。淡淡的,卻又難掩它的香甜。感調配出這種醬,也是一種藝術。

令人滿足又驚喜的一頓下午茶。很幸運,自己有機會嚐到如此出色的,美食與藝術的結合。藝術,應當融入生活每一處。這樣,我們的人生,會變得光彩奪目,而不是枯燥而單調的重覆。

Raisin and plain scones

For starters, the tea began with the usual scones and side of clotted cream, with strawberry and grape jam. I personally found it quite interesting that the scones were on the smaller side - which is actually quite smart (as the last thing you want, is to be overstuffed with carbs at the start of the meal)!

However, I thought the scones were just okay - warm but not warm enough, buttery but not buttery enough. I also kinda liked the fact that they provided a very generous portion of clotted cream - perfect for clotted cream lovers like me!

Black olive foccacia, tomato confit & feta cheese shavings

As for the mains, this was what I was most excited about - as each piece really captured the "Greek theme". So instead of having your standard high tea sandwiches, I liked that the selection provided was tailored to fit the APIVITA collaboration.

Amongst all, my favourites were the goat cheese pie with green apple, pine nuts and honey and the mediterranean quiche.

I liked the goat cheese pie a lot as I thought that it was really interesting with the three different textures: the slightly crunchy slice of apple, combined with the softness of the goat cheese, as well as the crunchiness of the "biscuit" underneath. I also really enjoyed the mediterranean quiche as the peppers tasted fresh and juicy, while the pastry exterior was crunchy but not too hard.

As for the greek flat bread with grilled chicken and tzatziki and black olive foccacia, tomato confit & feta cheese, I thought these were okay. My least favourite was the pita, hummus and olive caviar. First, because exterior was way too hard (by the time you bit into it, the pita bread was crushed everywhere) and second, the hummus was way too bitter for my taste (although I don't really like hummus in the first place...).

Panna cotta honey and red fruits with strawberry jelly

Finally, for desserts, I was actually pleasantly surprised - as I had liked these more than expected. I felt that each "piece" was really unique, offering a variety of flavours to satisfy the sweet tooth.

My favourite of all was the panna cotta honey and red fruits with strawberry jelly. As you can see from the photo above, the panna cotta is made by consecutively layering cream, strawberry jelly, cream, etc. This produced a really interesting flavour when eaten together - you get a mixture of creaminess from the "white" layer while a sweet, juicy flavour from the strawberry jelly itself.

Overall, I was really pleased with the meal - especially in comparison to the Cle de Peau x Cafe Gray set I had last month. You can truly see that each piece is designed with a "Greek theme" in mind.

But of course, the best part is the beauty part. I liked the set even more when I found out that it came with a generous box of full size and sample goodies!

For HK$200 per person (~ $26 USD / £16 / €20), I thought that the meal was a total steal as the Exfoliating Gel costs €3.50 per sachet - making it total €21, more than the cost of the meal already! So whether you're after the food or the goodie bag, I suggest you make your reservation as soon as possible - before it runs out!

The APIVITA tea set is available now until 31 October and is served between 3-5PM on Mondays to Saturdays and 3:30-5:30PM on Sundays.

Throughout the month of September, MO bar at Landmark was offering a limited edition tea set created by renowned designer Marc Jacobs. Tables were booked out very early so initially I was planning to walk in to try and get a sitting, however that turned out to be unnecessary as I received an invitation from Mr. C to join him there for afternoon tea.

The MO bar is quite modernly decorated and the casual ambience it exudes made for quite a nice place for guests/diners to chill and relax for a drink or a meal. We arrived there for a 4pm seating, and were promptly seated upon arrival. Since it was nearing dinner time, we decided to just order a tea set for one to share with both of us opting for Earl Grey tea and an extra cup of cappuccino for Mr. C.

Our teas arrived first along with Mr. C's cappuccino. His cappuccino looked quite nice, but according to him it was only so so. In regard to the tea, the MO bar uses tea leaves from JING and I must say it was pretty amazing. Soothing and fragrant with strong citrus tones, it was very comforting to say the least. I loved this~ However I wish I could have said the same for their tea set.

The scones were served first, petite in size they were served pleasantly warm with cream and both strawberry and blackberry jams. The scones were not scone like at all, rather they tasted more like buttery friands. I thought they were quite good, but a bit too sweet even without spreading jam on them.

The rest of the tea set arrived. The manager I assume as she was dressed in all black attire, served the sweets plate in such a swift and careless flourish that she spilled the little glass of bright blue apple juice all over Mr. C. Luckily, he dodged quickly enough, but most of it still splashed on his shoes. Although she apologised, it was said in tones that was a little snide and not quite sincere which I thought was not very professional at all.

However, back to the tea set. The savouries looked quite ordinary, and as the saying goes never judge a book by its cover, but not only did they also taste ordinary, some were downright unpleasant. I had never tasted anything so bad as the milk bun with cooked ham mousse. The bread was nicely toasted but the filling of ham mousse looked like a runny pink mess and smelled like canned food. The smoked salmon mousse on melba toast was light and airy enough, but tasted overly fishy. The ravioli made from thin sheets of beetroot filled with tartar and diced beetroot was an attractive colour, but tasted quite bland. Something else that was bland was the cucumber, chive and cream cheese on a sour dough cracker, but at least I expected this to taste unexciting. The best from the savouries was the mushrooms, spinach and smoked turkey quiche. Slightly warm with a moist centre, it was flavourful and the buttery crust was firm, but crumbled nicely in the mouth.

The sweets were very pretty and quite attractive to look at, but I only found a couple of them to taste good. The pistachio biscuit layered with strawberry mousse was light and the fragrant strawberry flavour complemented the subtle pistachio tones. I also favoured the manjari mousse on almond biscuit with chocolate marzipan as the mousse was smooth and the dark tones of the chocolate was quite seductive. Our replacement brilliant blue green apple and basil juice was not sweet and the flavour of the basil overpowered the apple. The layered cherry jello and vanilla panacotta was slightly runny and was a sign that it was not set well and it was just way too sweet. I did not try the lemon macaron, but Mr. C said it was nothing special.

As a special incentive all guests that made an advance reservation received a special gift from Marc Jacobs, but this was not enough to compensate for the fact that the tea was so disappointing in taste.

Also, when Mr. C paid for the bill, he found that his cappuccino was comped by the manager. She did not mention anything about this and she must have thought it was a generous gesture, but to be honest, I would have preferred her to be more sincere in her apologies rather than making it seem like we owe her gratitude for this action.

The food is fairly priced. The portion of the tea set is large and I believe the chiefs have put a lot of thoughts in matching the theme. Yet, I kicked off with the mille-feuille at the buffet and found it totally overshadowed the tea sets and other patisseries. Crispy and flaky at the outsides with fluffy and rich custard between layers, it was simply delicious. The well-renowned cheesecake is too dense for an afternoon tea, yet their receipt is always one of the best in town.

The savory canapés served were just usual items but I was pleasantly surprised by the refreshing beetroot ravioli and the warm homemade spinach tart.
The sweet nibbles were not as impressive as expected whilst the 60% chocolate cake topped the rest. Every decorative item was made from chocolate, including the pink ribbon, the iconic MJ bags, and the tags hanging on the drinks.
Next up the Macaron - my all time favorite!
MO Bar created a MJ lemon macaron filled with raspberry jam in response to the theme. Unfortunately, like most restaurants in Hong Kong, they make macarons as cute supplements rather than serving them as proper pastries that can stand on their own.
The macaron shell was way too crunchy, lack of the chewy textures at its interior and tasted a bit artificial. This reminded me of the fragile little gems from Jean Paul Hevin and the Laduree…well, I know this French delicacy is a pain in the ass to perfect... Still, my torrid love affair with macarons always gave me grief when trying out new macaron shops.

It goes without saying that my friend and I are always delight to try out posh restaurants serving quality food and MO bar did bring us a happy and satiated afternoon without being bankrupt.
The decor is simplistic but modern, and the atmosphere is casual in which we don’t feel the pretention of a grand hotel .The MO bar is definitely an ideal place to chat and chill out on a Sunday afternoon.
