早知有plain naan就不叫蒜蓉naan...但也好吃~算了吧

理所當然~小比只會選沙律類~叫了個尼泊爾特式雜菜沙律~Salad Durbaria ~
有條狀的Cottage 同 Yak Cheese~還有番茄~青瓜~沙律菜同生果
個Himalayan dressing好酸甜~但又不會很油~~正正~

KUKHURA LALI GURASH 是 尼泊爾烤雞伴茄汁
雖然見大多人都點鐵板的烤肉類~但這茄汁的卻一點都不失禮
用上蜜糖同新鮮茄汁打成的醬汁~與燒過的雞很match~~
大比還說很像童年時吃到的茄汁雞脾飯~呀哈

蒜蓉的naan也來了~比起平時在紫荊吃到的....好味好好好多~~~~
為左茄汁雞雞~小比叫來了一缽東東~~~
是saffron rice~~香草飯是也~很特別的器皿呢~
saffron的香氣四溢~無得頂~大比比較喜歡淋身的飯~所以覺得這個會有點硬
但小比都幾buy呢個~~~

那銅製的羹真係好重ge實心銅來的....手軟~haha
坐在鬼聲鬼氣的地方...吃著新奇的尼泊爾東西~小比本來就是這樣子~~~~呵

Whilst most of the restaurants in SOHO are serving western food, sometimes you may like to have something different.

Nepal offers you a different choice in SOHO. Although the dishes it serve is similar to that of Indian's, but I think there's a slight difference between the 2 and you will know it after you have tried it.

Last Sunday, me and my family had dinner there and we ordered a fried nepalese dumpling (with stuffed potatoes inside, it is crispy but not oily), Nepal Basket (being BBQ chicken and mutton dices, they are quite strong in flavours), Curry Chicken (red-brownish curry sauce is great and has strong flavours of nepalese herbs) , Curry Mutton ( yellowish sauce, not as strong in flavours as the Curry Chicken source) and 2 baskets of nanns (non-greasy, so feels healthy).

Although it's a small restaurant and tables are close to one another, you wouldn't feel stressed when you're dining in. Instead, you will feel that it's quite cosy and comfortable for casual conversations.

What's more, it offers good quality food with reasonable prices. It costs only HK$487 for the 4 of us that nite, so what a bargain!

話時話都未食過尼泊爾菜, 今次咪去試下一個休閒lunch, set lunch價位由$75至百零, soho正常價前菜選了煎茄子, 等了良久才有得食, 但這個茄子煎得外脆內軟, 小小咸的外層, 加上內層一絲絲的茄子, 真的香口無比!!可惜每人只有2小片, 唔夠食呢主菜點了咖哩羊及咖哩牛, 兩者都是肉量少少, 煮得硬硬的, 羊及牛的硬度一樣, 咖哩的色澤及味道亦相像, 味道淡淡又不辣, 似是一碗橙色忌廉多於咖哩, 真係要改改餐後的一杯咖啡, 幸好水準都不錯, 不太濃但香滑十足, 彌補少少心靈創傷其實真不知尼泊爾菜跟印度的有何不同, Service的態度一如我們一般常見的尼泊爾style……慢

尼泊耳餐對我嚟講都真係幾陌生,但係人一世物一世,梗係要試多d新既野啦!根據其他食家提供,點了Chicken Momocha,並實即係雞肉雲吞,是炸的,有點香草味,可能有些怪,但食到第二件開始似幾好味!再來個蒜茸大蝦, 蝦肉肉質十分好,個蒜茸汁都幾開胃!怕唔飽,就要了個黃飯,味道就普通,係就係幾乾身,但係同我地中國人既飯就無得比..唔香!其實有點像印度餐,這餐廳菜式選擇多,都可以推介的!

I hadn't had dinner at Soho for quite sometime, so I've decided to go there and try out someting new this time. Yet, again, I went with a very good friend of mine ... and suprised her (!!) .. this time, no Spanish, Italian nor Indian cuisine, but Nepalese food. Before going there, I did do some homework with my Nepalese friend to see what'd be the best to try out ...We arrived there last Fri., 7pm seemed too early for dinner on a Fri. night in Soho, but the restaurant soon filled up very quickly

I hadn't had dinner at Soho for quite sometime, so I've decided to go there and try out someting new this time. Yet, again, I went with a very good friend of mine ... and suprised her (!!) .. this time, no Spanish, Italian nor Indian cuisine, but Nepalese food. Before going there, I did do some homework with my Nepalese friend to see what'd be the best to try out ...

We arrived there last Fri., 7pm seemed too early for dinner on a Fri. night in Soho, but the restaurant soon filled up very quickly. It's quite a small restautant, and I did think it was pretty packed with the tables, too.

Before ordering our food, we ordered a couple of drinks - my friend had the "Mohi" (Lassi), which was a type of yoghurt drink, and I'd the "Himalayan Sunrise" (Nepalese Rum? cocktail).

I didn't really manage to find what my Nepalese friend'd suggested, apart from the Momo, so we were adventurous and ordered the starters: "Chicken Momocha" (Stemed Chicken Dumplings) <廚師雞肉雲吞>, and "Prawn-Ko Butuwa" (King Prawn sauteed with Garlic) <蒜茸大蝦>, and three more main dishes: "Haas-Ko Sekuwa" (BBQ Duck in light Nepalese Herbs & Spices) <烤鴨>, "Saagpat Paneer" (Spinach & homemade cottage cheese with Nepalese Herbs and Spices) <香辣蒜茸加自製茅屋芝士炒菠菜>, "Royal Kukhur" (Chicken in Shahi-Gravy with Almond - A Royal Favouritte) <皇室杏汁雞>, and some "Naan Thari-Tharika" (Onion Naan) <洋蔥尼泊爾包>.

The "Chicken Momocha" was quite tasty and succulent, the "Prawn-Ko Butuwa" was very delicious, the prawns were quite big, fresh and have a "crispy" texture, but my friend thought that it was a bit too spicy for her, so left me the rest! Great .. yummy!! We then went on to the main dishes - "Haas-Ko Sekuwa" (BBQ duck) was served on a metal grill plate, but since the table was so small, they were dished out to us directly (also for some of the other dishes). Well, this dish somewhat different to what I expected, it did have a tempting, tasty grilled taste and smell, but we both felt that it was slightly too dry, and I did find the pieces were too chunky. I'd to dip that into some of the sauces from other dishes. The duck wasn't a cheap dish either. I really liked the "Saagpat Paneer" (spinach), I can't explain why we liked it, but it did ring a bell of what we had from an Indian restaurant before @ ChungKing Mansion! We finally had the "Royal Kukhura" (chicken), the sauce was creamy and delicious, but there were only 5 small pieces of chicken in the whole dish, and those chicken pieces themseleves didn't taste as if they were marinated much. It was a bit of a shame ...
Naan bread was great, it was very dry and crispy, unlike some places where they were served quite oily and soggy, tho' I couldn't find much onion in there.

The restaurant did provide some desserts, but, yet again, no chance to try any.

Well, tho' we did making bookings a day in advanced, we were put on a table right by the door, so I could feel the atmosphere from the street, rather than the restaurant. If we'd sat further in, it could've been better. It's a small,. VERY cosy restaurtant, and maybe I'd say slightly packed. Services from the waiters and waitresses were good, but I wouldn't say it'd be a place where you could sit back, have a romantic, candle-lit dinner and slowly sip-up your wine.

While we were dining there, we did notice that the manager'd asked customers, who were waiting for tables, to enjoy their "Happy Hour" at the bar/ pub right opposit, and when their tables were ready, they could bring their drinks along from there to the restaurant.

Food was generally pretty good, worth trying! I'd consider trying Nepalese food again, but next time, I might look for somewhere more spacious and comfy.

We didn't stay there for long after we'd finished our dinner, instead, we just moved on to another wine bar and chilled out .....

本來想去旁邊的Al Dente食，但沒有位又懶得再走來走去，見這間近近地又有位，立刻一屁股坐下。Order時我的朋友叫了一杯雞尾酒Himalayan Sunrise，我因為酒量極差所以打算只喝水。另外就點了一個前菜烤鴨沙律，一個Royal lamb和芝士菠菜。我明明只點了一杯雞尾酒，但卻來了兩杯；我不想浪費於是硬著頭皮飲。味道不錯，顏色也很漂亮，飲時不覺有酒味，但酒精成份應該不少，因為我飲了大半杯後頭就開始暈。為了避免自己醉酒亂性反檯，我立刻進食打底。先食贈送的香蔥薄脆，好喜歡用來點薄脆的醬汁，好香但超辣。另一前菜是烤鴨沙律，烤鴨味道不錯又‘林’滑，但亦是好辣；於是我飲了很多水，但侍應反應也夠快，不斷替我添水。在送上主菜前，有侍應走來問我們要一份麵包，一份飯好不好；我沒為意便點了點頭。我還以為那是跟主菜的，哪知道是要另外加錢，又不先講清楚。不過兩樣都很好味，飯內加了香料，麵包也很鬆軟，但又飯又麵包實在太多吃不完。至於Royal lamb，羊肉很夠羊羶味，我十分喜歡，而蕃茄芝士煮菠菜，其實我很害怕芝士的羶味，但居然那些芝士粒沒那種怪味，容易令人接受，味道不錯。

一黎就比咗啲前菜我哋，係烤餅，仲有兩個醬，一個綠色同一個紅色既辣醬，兩個都幾辣下！

羊肉沙律：根本係羊肉多過菜，我哋以為會係一個以菜為主既沙律，但睇黎一啲都唔係，不過羊肉整得好淋，唔酥，我覺得好啱食，因為我一向麻麻食羊肉，怕酥嘛！呢個真係幾唔錯，加埋啲少少酸辣既伴菜同汁，絕對係好味之選！而且呢個所謂既頭盆都真係幾飽下，因為肉多既關係！

超辣咖喱雞：雞肉只有四舊，我同友人一人兩舊就食完！初食時都真係好驚佢辣到入唔到口，所以叫友人試先，佢話辣既程度係可以接受，咁我先至夠膽畢一舊試下，好在雖然係辣，但係只要一邊食nann bread，一邊食芝士菠菜同一邊飲水咁食，我都頂得順；但係友人係一次過食晒啲雞先食nann bread 同菜，因為佢話一次過辣晒先，再食淡味既嘢可以中和返，佢有佢道理！呢個咖喱雞之所以係超辣，係因為佢個汁根本上係充滿住好多好多既椒籽，真係睇個樣都知辣！

芝士菠菜：真係麻麻地，味道淡，當然係因為我哋叫既雞太辣之固，但係佢既芝士原來唔係嗰種一塊塊既芝士再溶咗佢，而係好似semi-hard cheese嗰種，但係味道一啲都唔好食，而且芝士多過菜．．．　原本特登叫個菜，係希望可以食多啲菜，點知沙律又無乜菜，呢個菜又冇乜菜，好失望！

喺我哋食晒嘢諗住傾下偈時，確實見到佢都幾full，有人開始等位，但係我都未打算走架，咪叫佢比個dessert menu 我哋睇下，睇完又無乜嘢想食，所以都係算數，佢收咗我個menu之後，居然自己攞張單比我埋，我都未叫埋單，友人仲去緊厠所，我自己都未去．．．最後就係我都唔去厠所就埋單走，因為我最唔鍾意人趕客走．．．唉！雖然食物係唔錯，但係咁樣既服務態度，我確實唔會介紹比人去！

侍應態度惡劣!1. 早一天定位為朋友慶祝生日2. 3人先order 2 starter, 其中一樣有隻house fly!3. Waitress來換過就算sorry 都無一句! 我們都算了4. 坐了大約30分鐘不到waitress竟然過來要求我們點main course 原因是他們有其他人定了位?????!!!!5. 我們表示早一天定位時餐廳並未有告訴如此, 而且我們有朋友未到..而當時餐廳是有其他4人位空著....6. 可是這位waitress竟用一張不耐煩的咀臉再次催促,另我們非常反感! 我們問她是否想我們即時離開?她竟然回答話:如你們不介意............7. 我們決定到其他地方去......8. 天呀!怎知埋單找錢不足.....waitress還厚顏話沒有cents.......簡直火上加油!!!!9. 今時今日怎會有這樣的服務態度!!!!!10.即使他們的菜色怎麼了得,如此服務態度簡直是自毀11.發誓以後不會再去!而且一定要舉報!12.服務及乾淨的評分實在應該是-5, 可惜這裡無選擇!

25/1/2006 13:30今日天遊到SOHO，見到呢間尼泊爾菜。雖然入面冇食客，但我都係膽粗粗入去一試。因為自己一個人，又唔知食乜好，都係是但叫左個set lunch。我個set lunch 有尼泊爾香草燒茄子+ 燒烤雞肉with 薄荷烘麵包。味道呢~ 燒茄子都幾香，燒烤雞肉好鹹，薄荷烘麵包~ 點解唔覺有薄荷味架，但都幾好食。食物就真係一般般啦~! 但個裝潢就唔錯。Nepal Nepalese Cuisinehttp://www.nepalrestaurant.com.hk/index.htm

That soup tasted like hot tomato juice.)But compared with the “hot tomato juice”last week, this soup is another storyYou would love its strong taste and exotic spices.     You would love its strong taste and exotic spices.

    Definitely after the strong tomato you won’t let the buds have a rest.

    My main course, BBQ chicken (yeah, chicken again), would make a great sequel.

    We also take the Indian drink mango lasse. My boss said it’s not good as it ought to be. I don’t know. This is my first trial. I would say it’s ok but I can’t figure out any mango... I’d rather say it’s yakult!

    環境好舒服... 有feel, 叫了兩份set lunch, 1. pumpkin soup + curry vegatable with naan2. mixed beans soup + bbq chicken with rice.pumpkin soup 甜甜地, 好creamy, 好味, beams soup 有dd spicy, 但係好多豆, 都好味..bbq 同curry 都好好, d chicken 好香同"林", curry dd spicy...佢d naan 係即做的... 好香軟...份量唔少, 好夠...柸coffee 好過好多cafe... camel 色, 好...一定再來..

    成班朋友，要了Nan 幾份，飯，各樣的咖哩（雞、羊、蝦、菰），炸薯，茄子、沙律。咖哩就好似樣樣一樣味，老實講，真是不知這兒的咖哩跟印度的有什麼不同。。。沙律太咸和儂味。地方太少太暗，所有人和桌迫得緊緊。服務一般。
