We went here thinking it would be nice to try something different. The place was empty because it was early and the place does not look as clean for being in causeway Bay. The food for Cantonese version of Indonesian food. Nothing special for the price. The server was not accommodating with me and my friend being vegetarian. Most importantly the people were so rude. Server and the man helping you pay for your bill.

來了幾次,每次都滿意,但都沒有給它來個好評,今天補回。來了一個午餐---印尼常餐,88元,有餐湯有飲品,感覺滿足。首先,這餐廳的確是地道風味,當然包括這常餐,跟在印尼食的一樣風味,不同的是賣相比印尼更好。當然吧,用印尼的賣相,香港人怎會滿意。常餐中的牛肉辨度適中,夠焾,好味辣蛋是我在印尼餐廳最愛的,不知用什麼醬料,將平淡的蛋弄得如此惹味。印尼沙律,不保證人人都愛,但真正的印尼沙律便是這樣。地點方便,地方尚算闊落,服務正常。值得去試試。

這個榴槤味很濃,果然是貓山皇!

口感就是新年吃的年糕的質感。

但不會太黏,很有嚼勁。

味道比以上兩款糕點甜。

但沒有新年年糕那麼甜。

應該是貓山皇始終會帶點輕微的苦味的關係,稍稍減淡了甜味。

I ordered Nasi Goreng Ikan Asin (Fried rice with chicken and salted fish, $88) and Ice Cendol with Red Bean ($50). I quite enjoyed the Nasi Goreng. It's very tasty and not oily. However, there are a few bites where you can really taste the salted fish (I had to drink to flush it down). I didn't mind it much, but others might find it unpleasant. The drink is really good too, but I think it's overpriced. It tasted like a syrup we used in the Philippines for a rice cake. Really yummy. I'm not a big fan of beans, so I'm glad it didn't taste bean-y.

The place is really nice. There are about 30 tables, some for 2 people, 4 people, and 6 people. Big for HK standards. I ate at 830 PM, and there were very few people (only 4 tables taken). I thought it was a bad sign; either it's really pricey, or the food is not good. But I'm happy with my first choice for the challenge.

Will I come back? -- I'm willing to try their other dishes, but not anytime soon.

今天約了朋友下午五點看最新的移動迷宮,但我兩點多已經到了,太無聊的關係,所以在戲院附近挑了一間餐廳享受一下下午茶喔。其實進去這間餐廳是基於好奇心,雖然平常很多時都會在銅鑼灣吃飯,但就是一直沒有嘗試過這間餐廳喔。下午茶時間幾乎是空無一人,只有一台坐在另一邊的角落。下午茶的價格以銅鑼灣來說,並不是太貴,一碗拉麵大約在六十以下,我今天點的是一個小吃,蝦醬雞翼配薯條($38),飲品選的是熱奶茶。奶茶香滑而不膩,雖然沒有地道茶記的好喝,但質素還算是比較不錯的。主角來了!蝦醬雞翼沒有預計過會那麼的好吃!蝦醬味道濃郁,但不會過鹹,你只會嚐到惹味的蝦醬鮮。雞翼內部肉質仍然保持嫩滑,雖然皮炸得很脆口。但是薯條就失色不少,首先炸得不夠熱,而且沒有任何的調味料。

服務又麻麻地,咁岩撞正一個老老地好似老闆既人係度,嘩!佢真係嚇親我地,我食幾次都未見過佢,我地食緊野,居然係我地隔離咁恐咁大聲,搞到食客真係唔似食一餐relax既dinner ,而家仲好似換哂人唔同左,以前好似有個女經理,幾個女waitress又Nice又好笑容.所以我之前先返去食多幾次,但最近食完之後我真係覺得唔可以再黎食,因為全部野都變左質,最重要係收客人咁貴,但食物水準差,服務麻麻,點能夠可以係香港收人一餐咁貴!!!!!!!!!

Came in around 7.30pm, their service is pretty good, the waitresses are friendly and able to speak many languages.We ordered 2 dishes and 1 nasi uduk (indonesia coconut steamed rice)1.tahu telur ( indonesian beancurd with sweet sauce)The taste was average, i dont really like the sauce though.in my opinion, the sauce doesnt taste good with the beancurd, and i think they added too much msg, lol2. 1.tahu telur ( indonesian beancurd with sweet sauce)
The taste was average, i dont really like the sauce though.in my opinion, the sauce doesnt taste good with the beancurd, and i think they added too much msg, lol

2. Gado gado
I would say, the taste is not authentic enough for indonesian flavor, as the sauce is thicker and it doesnt really have the "nutty" taste. 
However, the serving is good. as im able to finish ot myself ;) 

3.nasi uduk,
The rice is good ;) the coconut flavor is strong which makes you feel like eating it again and again. 

Thats just my opinion okay;)

食友嘅心意,有時都喺種挑戰,點解?因為認識一位食友,佢又真喺好厲害,不拘何國菜系,更不拘何種食物,古靈精怪乜都會試,試過好嘅又會送俾大家試試,今回收到喺銅鑼灣巴東印尼餐廳嘅斑蘭黑糯米蛋糕,放心,食依件糕點又唔使咩膽量嚟挑戰!斑蘭黑糯米蛋糕,顧名思義,加埋一睇就知喺一半斑蘭味(綠色)同一半黑糯米味嘅蛋糕(黑色),每件約一隻手掌大細,一隻手指厚薄,賣$7.5。打開包裝,嘩!勁香斑蘭味,不過,食落就隱約啲,而黑糯米嗰邊情況差唔多,黑糯米味就更加隱隱約約,但喺,嗒落又確喺食到兩者嘅味道;而質感方面,跟鬆軟扯唔上關喺,有啲濕,較挺實,似鬆糕嗰一類口感,都幾得意,感覺幾新奇。晌公司食完件糕當下午茶,又有啲想食印尼嘢添!

某個下雨天,即使撐著雨傘,在銅鑼灣鬧市中穿梭,依然是一件狼狽的事。下午兩點鐘,只想找個寧靜的地方吃午飯,待雨稍歇再上路。但是,各餐廳內外依然人頭湧湧,金伯利外仍有長長的人龍。走著、走著,走入 JP 戲院所在的翡翠明珠廣場避雨,卻發現這裡是一個世外桃園。因為每一間餐廳都有大量吉位,不用排隊之餘,我還可以繞場一周再決定吃甚麼。最後,決定試試這間巴東印尼餐廳,寬闊的環境,但只有數位客人,感覺舒適寧靜。相信可以慢慢在此 hea 一 hea。  午餐有三款選擇,售四十多元。我選了蝦醬牛肉炒貴刁,附送餐湯和飲品。餐湯方面,羅宋湯、中湯、雞湯,任君任選。個人覺得雞湯最吸引,湯料以雜菜為主,煮得很淋。還有少量煮得很老、已吃不出味道的肉。但既然是雞湯,相信是雞肉吧?就一個餐湯而言,湯料只屬小瑕疵。雞湯本身,味道雖然不算濃,但清清甜甜都不錯。  主食是蝦醬牛肉炒貴刁。點這個,主要是想食炒貴刁的香口,想試試加了蝦醬後會不會更惹味。誰知道,貴刁入口的感覺,跟想像中完全不同。貴刁並非乾身,欠缺鑊氣,表面反而有一層亮澤的油光。感覺爽爽滑滑的,不像在吃炒品。無論如何,味道方面不差,有一份蝦醬獨有而適量的咸,伴著微微

午餐有三款選擇,售四十多元。我選了蝦醬牛肉炒貴刁,附送餐湯和飲品。餐湯方面,羅宋湯、中湯、雞湯,任君任選。個人覺得雞湯最吸引,湯料以雜菜為主,煮得很淋。還有少量煮得很老、已吃不出味道的肉。但既然是雞湯,相信是雞肉吧?就一個餐湯而言,湯料只屬小瑕疵。雞湯本身,味道雖然不算濃,但清清甜甜都不錯。

主食是蝦醬牛肉炒貴刁。點這個,主要是想食炒貴刁的香口,想試試加了蝦醬後會不會更惹味。誰知道,貴刁入口的感覺,跟想像中完全不同。貴刁並非乾身,欠缺鑊氣,表面反而有一層亮澤的油光。感覺爽爽滑滑的,不像在吃炒品。無論如何,味道方面不差,有一份蝦醬獨有而適量的咸,伴著微微的辣。可惜就是欠了香口的感覺,而那口感,未必人人喜歡。

另外,材料方面。牛肉尚算軟嫩,及格,不過份量又細又少,很難滿足胃口。配香蔥、雜菜、蛋絲一起炒,不過我更喜歡的被擱在一旁的酸瓜粒。

至於餐飲方面,包熱茶咖或汽水,凍飲須另外加錢。不想喝熱飲,惟有用多幾蚊叫一杯凍奶茶。茶、奶兩者都不算濃。當中茶味感覺偏淡,相信是用了較清的茶種,而不是因為溝稀了。習慣了濃味,有時候清清地、轉轉口味,也不錯。不過喜不喜歡,也是見仁見智的口味問題。

總括食物、湯、飲品,巴東印尼餐廳給我的感覺是較為清淡,有別於平日習慣的濃重口味。或許,這是想食得清一點的朋友們,值得一 hea 的飯堂。用上 hea 字,是因為這裡的午飯,安安靜靜的環境真是舒適太自在了。

In Indonesia, the layer cake is very popularly and its name lapis legit means very rich layers.
It certainly is rich because it contains up to thirty egg yolks, 500g of butter and 400g of sugar for a cake of size 20 x 20 cm.
The layer cake is freshly made at this restaurant and its texture is much softer than the vacumn sealed ready made ones. It is not as oily as the pre-packed one.
I got this because it contains plum, the standard ones sold at Indonesian markets are just pandan or coffee flavoured.
The taste of this was light with chewy pieces of plum in the middle and the sweetness was just right.
