同死黨慶祝食生日飯, 本想去對面既LOT 10, 點知已經執左笠!! 睇呢間餐廳既食評唔錯, 應該可以一試吧!! 12點半去到, 得兩檯客 (包括我地個檯), 已經心知不妙, 眼見隔離九記同埋對面既茄牛通大排檔都堆滿人, 更加覺得呢間餐廳有點唔妥. OVERALL黎講呢間餐廳既食物係OK既, 只係份量比較細, 同埋一啲細節做得不太足夠囉, 希望可以改進下啦.

我不會說這餐廳有多棒,食物水平如何的高。但我感受到廚師是盡量用心的去烹調每樣食物。有誠意去燒菜的餐廳,我想我還是會再來光顧的。

最後的甜品要了朱古力慕絲蛋糕,慕絲口感很幼滑,而朱古力味道不算濃郁,味道中規中矩。

在吃飯的時候,在旁的一檯太太們發生了一件事。當其中一位太太吃著她點的魚,在吃了幾口後突然嚷著魚塊非常腥,那位男侍應便主動向那位太太說可以換另一款主菜給她。那位太太毫不客氣地說:你幫我揀啦,反正都唔會好食得去邊,免得要我自己去諗。面對態度如此惡劣的客人,那位侍應還是從容的看待。於這一件事上,這裡的服務值得一讚。


(各位如果要去,我想要額外提醒廚房在火候上要注意一下)

this is my first time to Palate. Hardly find the route to Gough, anyway finally arrive right at reserved time. Same night, there is a lady helding her birthday mini party there as well. Came her with a business client for lunch and it exceed my expectation. The restaurant decorated nicely and can see the owner's heart and inventive in the decor. The food was in great quality too. I ordered the fish which is just alright, not over-cooked with an excellent sauce to go along with. It's definitely value-for-money if you are having a relaxing lunch with some business clients or friends.Heard that it's sister restaurant with Farfalle but gotta admit this one is much better !!!

今日好開心咁去食西餐!因為michelle生日,一於大吃一餐,仲要係貴既!煎鵝肝,配以黑色既醋,好開胃,令我唔覺得d鵝肝漏..不過始終都係要同michelle share嚟食,唔係食唔落其他野!穀飼豬扒..其實我都唔知穀飼豬扒同普通豬扒有物分別..不過可能係健康d掛,唔理咁多,照食!豬扒煎到火喉啱啱好,個表面仲有d脆,口感一流,好正!個汁應該係d橙既味既野,michelle食番牛扒,我反而覺得味道無豬咁好!加埋個檸檬雪芭,呢一餐都好perfect!

it's the second week i come back to HK and my friend took me to a restaurant at Gough street. it's called Palate. It's a gorgeous place and the staffs are so friendly and nice. And we ordered the baby spinach salad, i luff it so much. the blue cheese is so rich and is such a perfect match with the source. We ordered the foie gras too, It's good and is soft inside n a bit crispy outside. And we also ordered the lamb. It's so special and i love the source, it's the sesame source. i never try this

大會堂看過戲後soho當然是晚飯首選第一次來歌賦街看了又看選定了這間時間久了印象開始有點模糊好像有吞拿魚沙律吞拿魚是黑椒煙的那一種配上酸酸的沙律汁和飛機菜很醒胃鵝肝做得很不錯甘香得來帶點鬆化筋卻是多了少許再來是白汁帶子Linguini帶子很鮮味linguini和醬汁也很匹配最後美男待應推介是日甜品朱古力蛋糕有點像mousse卻又不全是mousse再加上濃濃的朱古力醬很膩卻叫人追吃下去小小的店子很有特色也算cozy四百多元不便宜也不貴長坐長傾也很舒服這天看的戲說到發生過的可以說成沒有發生相反亦然看後不久便殺出了碌豬事件來縱使死者已矣要莫失莫忘的除了歷史還有自己的本性說話做事都要顧後果哦

看了又看選定了這間

時間久了印象開始有點模糊
好像有吞拿魚沙律
吞拿魚是黑椒煙的那一種
配上酸酸的沙律汁和飛機菜很醒胃
鵝肝做得很不錯
甘香得來帶點鬆化
筋卻是多了少許

再來是白汁帶子Linguini
帶子很鮮味linguini和醬汁也很匹配

最後美男待應推介是日甜品
朱古力蛋糕
有點像mousse卻又不全是mousse
再加上濃濃的朱古力醬
很膩卻叫人追吃下去

小小的店子很有特色
也算cozy
四百多元不便宜也不貴
長坐長傾也很舒服
這天看的戲說到
發生過的可以說成沒有發生
相反亦然
看後不久便殺出了碌豬事件來
縱使死者已矣
要莫失莫忘的
除了歷史還有自己的本性
說話做事都要顧後果哦

We just did a no-brainer and had the set dinner - the baby spinach salad was okay, ingredients relatively fresh, but the dressing a little heavy. The main of duck with blueberry sauce was a nice idea, but somehow the duck was horribly tough - i couldn't get my knife through it (or maybe it was the knife?), despite it being still quite pink in the middle... it's left me wondering since...The dessert was merely described as "panna cotta" -

The dessert was merely described as "panna cotta" - okay... like... what kind? Vanilla, strawberry..?? Turns out it was like sweet coddled cream with gelatin, and not mixed too thoroughly either, coz I had weirdly textured "cheesy" bits, which I did NOT enjoy. The sauce was basically diluted strawberry jam, or extremely badly made coulis (hardly a strand of real strawberry in sight) loaded with sugar.

Service is ok, but not seamless - they had a thing for loudly interrupting our conversation (interruption is fine, but there's a nicer way to do it - like, stand in a visible position before speaking, not vice versa...) The decor is quite nice, actually the whole thing reminded me of Ingredients on Wing Fung Street, but Ingred. is much more sophisticated (and pricey) but somehow seems better value for money.

總的來講,越到後面,大家吃得越開心,主要是因為一開始等得太久了,以最早入座的那位同事計,等了足足一個鐘,雖然這樣說有點不公平,因為我們分三批來,又吩咐說人齊才起菜,但……也真的是太慢了一點……

另外,幾乎每個人都是清碟,麵包也有追加,但走出餐廳的時候依然相互表示“麻麻D”飽……店名叫得“味覺”,可能是重質不重量的意思吧:P

appetizer:

unexpectedly好食,因為本身個dish係好簡單不過d sauce同d blue cheese好夾, 係本晚最愛之一. must叫

§tuna tartar(***)
我本身覺得呢間餐廳d tuna唔係特別靚,不過又係個sauce match得好, 呢個...ok啦, 係我本身鍾意食tartar

§芝士白汁焗帶子(**)
係ok啦,d cheese香,帶子有肉汁而且夠鮮味,不過可能我都係鍾意帶子係蒜蓉蒸多d

§pan-fried foie gras(*****)
本晚至愛之二, 正正正正正, 我自己本身都鍾意煎.而且我是鵝肝怪, 可以一個星期食幾次. 不過呢到個foie gras個火喉manage得好好, 因為佢外脆內鬆化之餘,並唔會入面一切開即時一patpat.係內到口d甘香先慢慢散出

§蕃茄濃湯(**)
比較普通,可能佢太過單調,蕃茄味係好重,但欠了一份驚喜

main course:
§rack of lamb (****)
唔知咩事,我o個件好食過我男友o個件好多,醃得好,同樣是sauce好, 不過煎的水準件件有d unstable

§uni-seaurchin spaghetti (*****)
本晚final至愛, 本身見到時覺得乜得咁少uni架,但第一口食落去的時候,非常非常驚喜,因為d麵有好重的海膽味,唔需要任何sauce.已經好好味.

§唔知咩煎鱸魚(sorry係完全唔記得個名.***)
好滑, 不過唔夠香口, 同埋因為對比起其他main dish就失色左少少

§tiger prawn linguine (****)
個king prawn唔簡單,煎左都重有海水味,肉質夠爽夠實,一定要加pepper, 可以吊出更強鮮味

desert:
§我地一口氣叫左4個,
無花果蛋糕: 幾特別(***)
香茅布甸: 實在係口感太特別,竟然係辣辣地,我個人覺得唔易接受(*)
咖啡mouse cake: as usual (**)
oreal ice-cream ball + banana sauce: 呢個好好味, 因為個banana sauce係key success factor,令到一個大家都熟悉的味道變得不平凡

無錯我地的確係食左好多野, 其實我一直以來去得試的餐廳都會盡情叫, palate係一間好值得去o既餐廳, 我覺得以呢個食物o既水準黎講食咁多野重飲埋酒都唔洗二千蚊係好抵.

p.s. 大家記得記得要叫manager(四眼哥哥)介紹d酒比大家飲, 我地每一個course佢都有介紹左一種酒比我地飲, match得好好,特別係個配鵝肝的甜酒,must try! (+佢o係我地臨走時表演左2個魔術比我地睇!!!)

Becuase my fd's bday is coming, so one of us have a walk-thru near Central and finally pick this restaurant.We arrived at 8:00 dinner time, when we sit down, we suppose they'll serve us some water but have to wait like 30 minutes, and we ask them whether they'll have any bread serving before main course, then turn out another 30 minutes waiting end up giving us one slice of bread.The goose liver was pretty good but the tomato soup was cold without any steam, then come the main course, my sis ord

The goose liver was pretty good but the tomato soup was cold without any steam, then come the main course, my sis ordered a scallop spaghetti which is completly cold, then i have a rissoto, the taste is good but just warm.

We wonder hoecome all food is not hot just warm and finally figure out that they have a kitchen which is smaller than my house.

Besides this, the service is not that good, i've never have any italian food in my life which is that bad, hte most delicious thing is the bday cake which we bought outside.
