P&P Pinco Pallino is always one of my favourite Italian in town. Food is always great! Atmosphere is always warm and homey. A pre X’mas dinner with the Italian gang. They picked here without a 2nd choice. But it’s really sad to know they will shut it down after 31st Dec because the rent is too high. They are planning to reopen in the future. Let’s hope they will find somewhere soon. First 1.5 hour we just had starters and wine. The tonnato is so good! We even asked chef to give us extra tonnato to go with bread. This is properly one of the biggest meat board I have ever seen. Cheese is surprisingly great! We first had 2 burrata dishes. I always love burrata. So creamy omg! Simple dish made with fresh ingredients never goes wrong. At the end we ordered 2 more burrata before main course. For main, I chose risotto with porcini, white truffles. Able to catch the last bit of white truffle season. I had a big smile on my face when I had this risotto! Earthy and creamy. Risotto is perfectly cooked. Together with the white truffle, HEAVEN! For dessert, we requested chef to place Panettone, underneath some tiramisu cream on top! OMG that’s perfect! I think we have created a perfect dessert! Amazing food as always! Great hospitality every time! Thanks for all the good time in the past and I am happy to have this review as my 100th review in OpenRice. Farewell! And hope to see you soon! continue reading

A hidden gem in sheung wan (sai ying pun), very authentic and delicious Italian little bistro. What we ordered: - small cold cut and cheese platter (but it was actually huge😂)- baked cheese mushroom - tagliatelle beef ragu - bigoli alle vongole- slow cook baby pork rib - tiramisu Everything was quite on point, both pasta were great, I the texture of the pasta was so chewy and cooked perfectly Al dente ! I especially loved the tagliatelle, went perfectly well with the beef ragu, I couldn’t stop myself from eating that! The pork ribs were so luscious as well ! The portion of the food was quite generous, but we manage to finish almost everything, even dessert.. as the food was that good! We ate a lot as two girls… 😅 and drink two bottle of red wine.. both taste very goodOverall, I really enjoyed this casual vibe and delicious food and wine. Rating : 8.5/10Around $900pp ( we ordered a lot for two pax, two bottle of wine) continue reading

Had Burrata & Parma ham for starter. The ham and cheese were atop a piece of bread, whose flavours just builded up and up among salty, fleshy and fluffy taste. Then Spaghetti with clams, garlic, parsley and white wine and baked salmon for mains. The taste of them were also terrific. The price was acceptable in terms of the food quality, environment and services. Worth giving this restaurant a go overall. continue reading

continue reading

Having had such a nice experience at Giabar, we decided to try another restaurant from the Capo group.Wine list seemed interesting, competitively priced, featuring mostly Italian wines we weren’t familiar with. Friendly Italian manager recommended a bottle of Pinot which we loved. Essentially the same food menu as giabar. Here’s what we had:Burrata cheese with red tomatoes- very fresh and sweet.Pappardelle (a large, broad, flat pasta) with beef ragu. Yummy. Pasta was perfectly al dente.Breaded pan fried pork chop- crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Came with tartar sauce on the side. Potatoes (not normally a fan) were perfectly roasted.Tiramisu as dessert.Limoncello to finish off the nite. In summary: bistro did live up to our expectations as an authentic Italian eatery. Warm friendly service. Recommended for a nite of casual dining. continue reading
